I'm going to be releasing beta versions of my story mode mod soon and they'll be posted for anyone to test out that wants to try it. These are beta because I still intend to tweak them more but they have been tested and are crash free and completely stable. I'll also be open to suggestions to improve this as much as possible. This is currently just swapping enemies and also changing their health, weapons, clothing and armor. More will come into this mod but for now it will mostly be just these things.

I'll be using 7zip for these for better compression so if you do not have 7zip, you can download it for free here.

It's not a WIP though, I prefer to call it beta because I may tweak it more but then again I might not need to. They are complete as I want them to be but i'll be willing to make changes or add alternate versions by request.

I'm curious and lazy tongue.gif . So whats the main difference between extrem and normal version? How much did you increase the health of .. let's say a normal majini?

eeeer I downloaded the extreme version, and when I play the game, it freezes during the loading after the first door...

I use sectus' wesker, satyr rook, and the samurai edge...

Where's the problem ?

EDIT: Ok lol, wesker made it crash, that was the problem.

So I did the extreme mod, and I gotta say 2 things about it:

First: This mod is awesome, simply awesome I enjoyed it a lot !!
BUT, second: It is really too hard, I'd even say, too IMPOSSIBLE, when we get to alisson, there's too many gatling gun majini, and they are too powerful (I mean, 10 handcannon bullets for each) it's absolutely impossible to do it without infinite ammo which I think is bad sad.gif
I dislike infinite ammo, I prefer make an arsenal with good weapons and bullets.
And I can't do it, they're unkillable !
And even if you could beat all 4 JJ's, you couldn't beat the rest of the ennemies... (Lack of ammo lol)
So if I can give you an advice, I think it'd be better with only 2 JJ's, (instead of 4) 1 chainsaw guy (instead of 2) and put the giant majinis (from the village) life at 2/3 since they require 5 handcannon ammo...

Anyway, I can't wait to see what's next, thanks for this mod !!

(To tell you how impossible it is, even with the gatling, I couldn't beat any of the JJ's xDDD)

Awesome mod, gotta agree that the difficulty simply too high even on amateur mode and the reward for killing a chainsaw seem too cheap, 100 gold after all the "hardwork" but it's still possible to make a run for it unless there's weapons to pick up to fend for their life like what it's done for L4D like for example a gattling gun inside the locked house instead of the shotgun.

EDIT: or perhap a flame thrower if it's possible. thanks for making all those mods, really enjoy everyone of it.

Well itīs not imposible, itīs just hard, I died 2 times in that part but i made it.
Itīs true you are lack of ammo as 2 machine gun majini have Wesker hp but you just have to look a way, i used the longbow when i ran out of ammo and bugged 1 majini inside the house .. just find a good strategy

I will add some ammo drops to help with that but this is why there is a normal version that has enemies made weaker. The extreme is going to live up to it's name even more so than this first release. I will say this though, if you play smart and play right, you can survive 1-2 with ammo left. If this was too much, try the normal version, it's slightly different and the enemies don't have super health but still are tougher than the original version of that area.

1-2 was very easy until the mini-boss area with Allyson, the blonde woman. I made that a boss type area but i will be making the extreme version difficult like that and sometimes even harder. The normal version will overall be the same with mild changes but mainly less health for select enemies. I've got more finished but i've got to package them together and upload them so i'll be uploading chapter 2-1 sometime today.

I didn't say it was impossible, I said it was impossible USING MY arsenal (which doesn't include the longbow (hate this weapon)).
Which is:

FU=Full Upgraded

Chris:

-Sig p226 (FU) + 100 bullets
-MP5 (FU except it has 65 max bullets) + 300 bullets
-Handcannon (FU) + 12 bullets
-5 grenades

Sheva:

-M93R (FU) + 50 bullets
-Striker (from RE4) (FU) + 30 bullets
-Sniper (the second one) (FU) + 30 bullets
-5 incendiary grenades

With this, it's impossible (if, of course, you're planning to kill all the ennemies, cuz if you just want to finish the level... well you can do it without any weapon lol)

And as I said, I don't want to use infinite weapons.

But I don't want any misunderstanding southbeatz1169, I'm not asking you to change your mod, I'm just giving my opinion (even though I'd like you to take my remarks in consideration),


And by the way, no chapter 1-1 ?

What the hell ? I'm playing it with wesker now...? In the normal version, so the extreme version do not support wesker.
Anyway to fix this ?

EDIT: Awww too bad.. it froze when reaching the cutscene where allyson is screaming help sad.gif

Chapter 1-1 is questionable right now as it causes conflict with too many variations of enemies. 1-1 has too many cut scene enemies and if you mod one you have to make its counterpart match as well and that usually causes issues but i will be making some changes to 1-1 just not as many. I'll mostly likely leaves chapter 2-3 alone because there isn't much that can be done there due to the majini on motorcycles.

I'll take into consideration any suggestions because this mod is for more than just myself. Just keep in mind that the extreme version is meant to be seemingly impossible but yet very much possible if you are smart about it. The extreme version will get tougher as the story mode progresses but I will work on adding ammo drops but not too many of them.

samourai23, if you are having crashes then it's something you have installed doing it. I played with with wesker and jill model swaps without crashes.

Cerberus, extreme has slightly different enemies to an extent and increased health.
