Title: DMC4 Model Importer Source (unfinished)
Description: Might be useful for RE5 too
DeathPhoenix - July 24, 2011 12:13 AM (GMT)
For Devil May Cry 4Tool: DMC4 Model Importer (unfinished) Source Code
Special Thanks: n3Xus for sharing this with us.
Original Thread at Infernal Works: DMC4 Model ImportNote:Recently n3Xus stop working on this, but he left the source for the importer (without the 3ds max code) so maybe someone interested can use this and release a proper model importer for DMC4 or maybe RE5.

I take no credits for this, it's all n3Xus work.

Does that means that we can play as Dante in RE5?

No, it's to import custom models to DMC4 although it is unfinished. Actually it was a W.I.P. but n3Xus stopped working on it.

If someone with the knowledge finish it then yes, but as I said before, it still needs some work:

I made a importer for 3ds max 9 which can import DMC4 skinned models (weapons, humans, monsters). The bones are still problematic, but most of the other stuff is good.
I'm not at the point where I can add/remove vertices yet. So far I can only modify existing vertices in 3ds max and then by using a ugly patch I paste the positions back in.
So far I modified Nero's default sword...
