rules (or guidelines, if you prefer)

1. you can mod any RE game, as long as others can still use it, and i can test it.
(PC, or anything emulatable - no PS3 or XBOX360 modding, sorry).

2. any kind of "modding" is allowed - reskins, remodels, sound mods, hex-editing, trainer-making, exe-editing, etc.
(you can also submit a "pack" of mods as an entry, however, i value quality over quantity - you'll be judged on the weakest mod of the pack, if that's the route you take).

3. original content only. no ports.* no self-plagiarism
(that means no recycling your own content; you can, however, re-use concepts/ideas. that also means no using any WIP mods).

*(there is an exception: non-original content can be used, as long as the focus is not on that content.
for example, if your mod is meant to be only a reskin, you can reskin a ported model ... but please give credits for content you borrow, and state what the focus is).
(if you're caught passing off non-original content as your own, you'll be disqualified from this contest, and every contest ever.)

4. 'team works' are allowed, as long as each contributing individual is a relatively active forum member, and as long as youse're all willing to share the prize :>
(no getting your 150-IQ 3D graphic designer cousin to make something for you)

5. categories are for chumps.
if you're going to win, win like a boss.

6. try not to do anything too illegal. :ph43r:


I will be deciding the winners, based on a number of things - such as creativity, originality, degree of difficult, (seeming) effort put into the mod, etc.
i will also take the opinion of others into account, however, the decision will ultimately be made by me.
what this means is that it is possible for me to award you first place, even if most members voted for or endorsed someone else.
this also means that it is possible for you to lose, even if most members voted in your favour.

if you do not think that you would be capable of handling that happening to you, i suggest you do not enter.

second place will get any $10 or under game gifted to their account on steam.

Hei zaia, my "Re5 Ultimate Albert Wesker Pack 2.0" can be on this contest?I've made a lot of changes (original ones) and I trink it fits the rules (I've made the portraits myself, for example, and other peoples are using then on their own modes (gameclint81 for example)).

I know that you do not like RE5, because it is limited to editing and changing, but even just your work with cosmetic changes look just amazing for the characters.

You could also work for the environment and create a truly new story.

P.S./ I even personally out of pocket is willing to pay you 20, 10, or 5$ for your work for RE5. :P

Far as I know you can "Show Off" your mod at any time you want, you just can't release it, or send it to anyone but Zaia.

well, it's been a week - at least one more week would be fair.

but it depends on who all still needs time to think of ideas / make 'em

i'll let everyone know when to release the mods for others and myself to test out
it won't be too close to the "end" of the contest, because it'd be nice to give others enough time to test all mods as thoroughly as they please.
