This is the Resident Evil 5 Versus patch for PC only.
Capcom already included Versus mode in the PC version. However, they've refused to release it so far.
The files for versus mode are included in the PC version, this patch proves it can be enabled.
USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK THIS IS NOT OFFICIAL!


--- Installation -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To install this patch you must do the following:

1. Extract the contents.
2. Go to your RE5 installation directory usually C:\program files\CAPCOM\Resident Evil 5\
3. Drag 'n' drop all the extracted contents into your RE5 installation directory
4. Run versus.exe as an administrator.
5. Enjoy & play!

Press the F1 button during 4P lobby inorder to enable No Mercy mode.

1. Open the versus.ini file.
2. Set the line DX10=1 to DX10=0, then it will use the DX9 setting.
3. Execute the versus.exe normally.
4. Enjoy & play!

all i do if i want to load mercenaries CUATTRO or TRIO or DUO... is .. open trainer and enable (AGAIN) and disable the versus with the trainer while the map is on LOADING" then it will put the mercenaries mode;)

bad idea... you need a really good connection for that. (mayby LAN works)
you play versus, please use only this mod. no trainer or a other merce mod.
it gives errors for all players... ;(

I guess he's talking about no mercy? I don't think bandwidth would be a problem, the game is well optimized in that regard. I've done a few tests as well and no mercy works fine with 3 players. One more shouldn't make a drastic difference.

I do hope it'll be possible to add support for mercenaries in the future. I'm personally more interested in playing 3/4 player mercs than I am versus.

Well, count me out.

I think No Mercy Survivors would just get irritating after awhile. I mean, the majini are already bad enough when it comes to screwing you up, more majini would just mean more nerdrage.

I know about this method, BUT one of my friends doesnt have windows 7 and we all play in LAN. When you wanted to create game for 3 players in LAN, you musted create as normally mercenaries, so i asked about mercs in this program (2xEnd doesnt working, cause after end of merc you have versus loaded in lobby)

it works for me;)

btw.. i know sectus nomercy will work fine for 4ppl i know 100% sure.. tahts why i asked WHAT DID HE MEAN WITH CONNECTION?.. i know my self it would work fine... slayers with nomercy map would be GREAT!

in the last games i had with this last patch.. i saw people having a different weapon animation when they take magnun:( it looks like a two handed gun animation:(... can someone tell me if they've seen this?

It's great that the patch is finally out!

However, I personally think quickly lost interest in him than relied ...
I played two games in different teams and one finds cheaters who just annoying.

For example, one player was very tenacious, given that the amount of damage inflicted long ago would have killed him. I believe he used a trainer for infinite health.

In the other game I picked up a gun with infinite ammo:


This is again an allusion to the use of Trainer.

It is a pity, because the use of cheats is not banned, and interest in the game because of these people unfortunately lost! :(

Just take note that the patch was released two days ago, but the game has cheaters.

This happens often in the PS3 version too. I wouldn't be worried.

this is toottally messed up with the animations:(...if i use a grenade its like i 've a grenade animation on my weapons...this happens after u fixed the weapon drop dude...

Yes, I too have seen these errors when the other player holds the gun like a pistol, and while it can not hurt.
Another was that after the fall of weapons, I could not lift it. This became possible after many attempts!

Beyond the bugs this is still an amazing job. I hope to see new versions and releases with fixes. But honestly it's very good compared to the trainer even though the trainer is also an amazing job and they were first on unlock them but this is easier because we just dont have to press any button.
Anyway, you all guys (wilsono and maluc) deserve our "congratulations"!!!

i am very happy to see versus finally released on the PC, no thanks to Capcom. i know it's been a long time coming, so great job and many thanks to everyone who's worked on it for so long! :D
it seems like everyone is worried about different bugs, I think it's important to realize maybe one of the many reasons Capcom hasn't released versus on PC is that they know a large portion, maybe a majority of the people who still play on PC version, play using mods. and these different issues, like people using trainers for infinite health, would create too much frustration for people to have interest in playing. so i think we should just be patient and grateful that we, the RE5 modding community, have the opportunity to play versus mode even though it wasn't intended for us to be able to. and there may be some people who will not play without infinite ammo or health, but those people can be avoided once you know who they are, and just remember at least we have the chance to play versus on PC.
anyway, thanks again for all the work put into this. i'm too dumb to understand how the modding works, but i can understand how to use them at least.. :> looking forward to a Dx9 version.
And if anyone is looking for another player, I play all versus modes, and i'm open to any type of play.. with or without trainer, just let me know :P my live ID is Aquamatey

I do not think it's because of this, because they say that it happens on consoles.
