First Off! The All-Important...
The 'level' rating of this site may be considered 'Intermediate-Advanced'. However, although we would appreciate that you be 'semi-literate', roleplayers of all levels are welcome. Just heed this: grammar is our friend, as are punctuation and proper capitalization. Use them. One line posts are annoying, and may just be ignored. If you could get a good paragraph per post, that would be absolutely marvelous. But as I said, you're more than welcome if you can't. We cater to all skills, and the best way to learn is to be around people that are experienced.

The Bugger In Your Nose
No M/Gary-S(t)ues. If your character is absolutely flawless in every way, we will gang up, figure out where you live, hunt you down and eat your innards for breakfast (or whatever meal happens to be approaching - unless it's Elrohir doing the tracking, because she tends to eat at all hours of the day and you'd just be part of her continuous meal). Seriously. No X-S(t)ues. That is all that can be said on this topic.

You are Not Zeus
No God-Moding/God-Modeling. No Power-Playing. Everyone knows those rules. Many people break them. If you are somehow invincible, you are wrong. If you control another person's character, you are wrong. The only exception to this rule is something that has obviously been discussed with the other roleplayer. If that person says "You may [insert action here] and assume that [insert own character's name here] responded in such and such a way," it is fine. Otherwise... just do not do it. You will be warned for this. You may suffer consequences.

Oaths and Maledicta
Be respectful. Don't swear out of character. Swear minimally in character, unless your character just happens to like to swear a lot. Then... still keep it as minimal as possible. Young people roleplay too. Some of them roleplay on a very literate level. Just respect everybody else. Some people don't like swearing... and besides, much of our current slang was NOT present in late 18th-early 19th century society.

Don't Make Me Eat You...
Disrespect anyone and you will be dealt with. Disrespect the moderators and administrators and you will be severely dealt with. If we ask you politely to do something, or not to do something, just do what we say. If you see anything wrong, or have opinions that need to be shared, please do, but do so in a polite fashion.
