Everyone talks about how LSVTEC/B20VTEC motors arent reliable...I myself seen LSVtec run for a long time...homie had a LSVTEC motor and would race it hard almost weekly for about 2 years, then he sold it leaving the buyer happy with his motor...the only way to do it is to do everything correctly with no shortcuts and do it properly (breakin in ur motor correctly, staying on top of maintance like oil changes and tune ups, etc)

I'll be the first to say this is a great threat and deff. very useful in the builds of either motors. But i would also like to say there really is no safe way of building these motors, due to the fact that they where never designed to be made like that. This build should only be done by someone who is very confident in there motor skills. They both have the potential of being very great and powerful motors but once you start building something that isn't stock its not going to be as reliable as a stock motor would. So in all i'm just gonna give anyone interested in building this motor a little heads up. Make sure you have done alot of research and have all the proper tools and parts needed to make this motor. I'm more then willing to help people come up with plans on building this motor or any other motor for that matter. I have built and torn apart many of honda motors and consider myself to be very knowlegable about them. So if you have any questions regarding these motors or anyothers drop me a line!

very true..these motors can be reliable if done right...the guide i posted uptop if just a simple guide...theres alot more to it then just those steps...gappin rings, clay for clearance, honing rods when using arp rod bolts, etc...if anyone is not experienced with this stuff, its best to send out motor to a reputable builder...just make sure you have all the right parts |
