Hey I'm not actually Wiccan I would love to be though. I am just unsure about how to go about this. I would ask my friends but they are mainly Catholic. Could anyone help me?

I studied it for a while, a few year I guess. I looked up stuff on the internet, this is a good site here. But its not the same as a one on one with a person. The internet can be reliable for somethings but if you look around you find a huge diffrence in the way it is practisted. Some good books are 'Wicca for Dummies' and "The witches Bible' I think thats what its called huh.gif (its more complected though)
I haven't given up on it through. I still follow the beleifs with nature and respect for other liveing things(as I've always done), but I do not beleive in the gods and goddesses nor do I beleive in any god.
I love the whole spiritul ascpect of it.
Anther good place to go is to a Pagan shop or something. They have stuff in there for spells rituals, you name it, and classes and study groups to help you on your way.
I hope I helped some.

In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.

I'm actually studying Wicca right now. I started not too long ago. Ummm, I agree with what babble_fish said, though I'm not sure what I believe in right now (God and Goddes wise that is). But it's mainly being in touch with yourself and nature. There's a great site here that I got from another Pagan I know. Hope it helps.

I'm fascinated by Wicca. All the Pagan religions, actually. I don't follow them and never will, but they're so fascinating to study and learn about. smile.gif Very interesting. biggrin.gif

I've wanted to convert, but I the only problem is, I am kind of torn between Wicca and Catholicism. I grew up in a Catholic house, and I started studying Wicca and fell in love with the religion. I believe in God, yet I love learning more about about the gods and godesses.

Other than that, I have this amazing feeling when I think about the religion, and ever since I started studying the religion, I've felt even more connected with nature. I know that I have the spirit of a witch. I want to be a Wiccan, but I worship God and God only. Will that be a conflict?

Well, I'm a Christian too...I love God and everything...but what fascinates me about Wicca is the fact that I'm fascinated by anything "supernatural", shall we say. I'm not going to go off and convert to Wicca or anything like that because I'm a Christian, but due to my fascination with anything medieval and Gothic, I feel drawn to Wiccan. Of course, then again, I'm also fascinated by Judaism. smile.gif I don't know if I even TRIED to answer your question, but yeah... What I'm trying to say is...I'm fascinated by Wicca, but I'm staying grounded in my own faith and will just be content to study it--with caution. smile.gif

Gosh, I hate rambling...

I have felt the EXACT same way.

My problem is, sometimes I want to convert to Wicca, the rest of the time, I want to stay in Catholicism. I love both religions. A while ago, I have just decided to stay in Catholism, but I can't help but feel the occastional urge to go to Wicca.

does relidgon realy mater? i mean, beleive in what you wont to believe in and follow (or lead) who ever you believe.
I think What i'm tring to say is if the wiccan beliefe fasinates you, then just let it be. You don't have to 'convert' to beleive in something and stop beleiveing in what you grew up beleiveing.
its the 21st centruy! just live your life and don't worry about what relidgon you wont. You can beleive in both or none or iether or what ever!

I hope I don't sound pompus or disrespectful of others. But its just how i see things.
sorry again if I've ofended anyone.

I get what you're saying here... I grew up in a house full of Catholics, I had that religion sort of forced upon me I guess. As I've gotten older (I know I'm still young but I guess you can say I'm wise beyond my years. Lol) I've come to realise that a person doesn't have to be tied down to just one religion. Somebody might believe bits from a number of religions, nobody believes EXACTLY the same thing as anyone else, we all have different opinions.

I see this as everyone having their own thoughts opinions, so really it's their own religion they're following, giving them the freedom to believe what they like.

Sorry if some of you don't agree...

Hey I'm writing a research paper on Wicca for school. I am not religious and I'm not writing a Wicca-bashing paper; I'm going to try to be as open minded as possible smile.gif Would someone (serious practicers preferred) like to be a guinnea-pig and be interviewed? I would let you read the paper before I sent it off to make sure what I wrote was OK with you.

Thanks, and if you can't don't worry because I'll also be looking into some local groups... but the more the better ya?

thanks
