The region of
Oceania (not to be confused with Orwell's totalitarian state) is comprised mostly of open ocean interlinked by atolls and small islands. As a geopolitical region, Oceania typically refers to Britannian possessions in the region. These are comprised of the Dominion of Australia, one of the largest and most important of Britannia's overseas possessions; the Viceroyalty of New Zealand, which has been unable to attain Dominion status because of separatist movements in the South Island; and two dependencies, Norfolk Island and Chatham Island.
