what a disapointing topic.
does anyone see a means to affirm? That is assuming that early admissions in the wording does not also include early decision. Definitonal debate seems like it'll be big on this res. |

The pro side could argue that the Early Admissions programs don't consider all applicants simultaneously. Those allowed in early may not have been allowed in had they applied with everyone else. This lowers the standards inside of that institution, and lowers the quality of education for all those that applied normally.
The con side could say that those who truly want to go to the school, and aren't just applying as a safety school, should be considered before the normal applicants. They would show more school spirit, and are more likely to donate to the school after they graduate. Since the school needs money to improve educational standards, it should get those more likely to donate later in life. |
