Since Norbert was in Rent awhile, I figured I'd mention this here.

Yeah, it looks like the Rent movie is officially a go. They're looking to begin production next spring with a late 2005 release. Any opinions?

Heh, well, I'm not so sure I trust Christopher Columbus, but let's hope he gets a decent cast, because that might make it better. Otherwise we'll just have to wait and see. tongue.gif

I've always praised Chris Columbus for his family movies, but Rent isn't exactly a "family" movie now is it? It's definitely a strange switch from the Harry Potter series. I just hope he doesn't down it. But Idina and Taye Diggs are in it... that HAS to be a good thing now. I love Idina, and although I think Norbert should have been casted in it, my fingers are crossed and I'm hoping for Columbus to do a good job on it

Chris Columbus tends to stay true to the original source, so I don't think Rentheads will be disappointed. The movie is supposedly getting an R rating because of the themes.
