My New Job!, Sometimes, they call me "Princess"!

Guess what! I know it's been forever since I posted but it's due to a very exciting reason - I been hired at Walt Disney World!

After some talking with family, I decided to go to an opening casting call they were having to find some new performers. After being about 3 years out of the circuit, I decided that I'd try my luck at these auditions - after all, worse they can say is no.

Well, I auditioned and then made the cut! I was hired that night!

So, now here I am, an active part of Walt Disney World entertainment!

I so wish I can be a princess but I'm unfortunately too short. However, I'm happy enough being an entertainmet performer.

What shows do you perform in?

I been playing a variety of bit roles at the moment, in rehearsal for one show, but all of them a blast - but I REALLY hope to make it to the future auditions for Block Party Bash.

CONGRATS! Thats super cool! My friend is in The Festival of The Lion King at Animak Kingdom! She loves it, but admits that suprisingly, the pay isnt exactly great! Best of luck on your new endeavor!

I've heard the pay's not great, but the experience is wonderful. I would have loved to have worked for Disney, but I never did give it a shot. I wish I had, but those days are gone now. So, enjoy it. These days may never come again.

I will admit that the pay isn't super great as compared to all the work we really do. It can be hard, intensive, labor with odd rehearsal times (like 2 am to 6am) long work days, I once had to be there from 9 am - 9pm, and of course, heat exhaustion. (try doing a dance routine in long sleeves and pants or tights in 80 degree weather).
There is also a Flu bug currently going about all the entertainment cast members, which I unfortunately have caught. Thank goodness I have the next few days off.

But despite it all, I adore my job. I have fun, the guests have fun, and I even have participated in giving out a few Magical Moments as well. Nothing beats the feeling than making other people happy. That to me, is worth far more than the numbers on my paycheck.

Hooray! THAT is truly the job you want then! Happiness is all that matters!

When you love the experience that's all that really matters. Keep having fun and enjoy your days off.
