I know this may seem like a long list of rules, but lets face it. Rules are important to keeping the site functioning well.
This is a Twilight only role play. That means no Harry Potter, no Transformers, nothing like that.
Okay, so I know that some people are new to Roleplaying and all but We expect at least one full structured paragraph of no smaller than 150 words. This is not hard...
Character originality is a big must-have! Your characters should be your own idea, not someone else's. They're unique in every way (clichι, we know). But an original character cannot be related to any of the canons (Rosalie, Edward, Bella, Jacob, Aro, so on). Unless it was said that Bella had a long lost twin sister in the books, then you can't join as her long lost twin sister. Basically, original characters cannot have any blood relation to canons, and that's that. Surely you can think up your own characters, right?
There is no real character limit, but lets be reasonable here. There shouldn't be a person with like over 8-10 characters on the board. There is no way that you can keep all of them active. So be reasonable.
Canons are characters that are in the Twilight series. They are either mentioned or play a role in the plot. The most well-known canons are the Cullens, including Bella, the La Push packs and the Volturi. Canons cannot be joined like regular characters, they must be applied for. NOTE: the first player to get a canon will be the one to create their account. Should said player lose their canon or give them up, the account password will be changed along with the email and given to the next player.
Age of your characters doesn't really matter, however, they cannot be younger than 13. Hybrids are the only exception to this rule, because they are more mature than human and shifter children and age extremely quickly.
Activity is a must. You must be active with all of your characters. Usually the definition of 'active' in the role play world means you are on and post at least once a day. If you're not active for two weeks and haven't posted in the Away/Leaving forum, then staff will do something about it.
It is crucial that you are respectful and considerate of everyone else. First time offenders of this rule will be warned, second time offenders will be banned for two weeks, and third time offenders will be banned permanently.
When joining, just fill out the form that is provided and post it. Once it's been completed and posted, you must wait to be grouped before you can begin posting on the other forums.
Spelling, grammar and punctuation are also important. We do not allow any chatspeak in posts (u, lol, brb, etc.) if you want to use chatspeak, use the c-box for that. Be sure to check all three of those things before you post.
You know what point of views are, right? Well, hopefully you do, because you're going to be writing in third person you will sort of be narrating what's going on. Now, if you don't know what POVs are, here's some examples of the three types of them:
First person: I read the book.
Second person: You read the book.
Third person: She read the book.
So, when posting, please write it in third person, not first or second person. Should you want/need to say something that is out-of-character (OOC), please format it as follows:

So you want to play twins, huh? Maybe triplets or something? Well, here's how that's gonna work: twins/multiples absolutely cannot be registered to one account. It's a bummer, I know, but that's how it works, and trust me, it'll make things a lot less confusing, both for you and the other players. If you are going to play multiples, please register each of them with a different account. If you can't or don't want to play both of them, then ask someone to play one for you on the Plot board. It's pretty simple and you won't have to deal with all the accounts you have to keep track of!
Signatures and banners and avatars are fun, but they also have requirements. Most signatures will be 500 by 200 pixels and 200x200 for the avs, as that is the standard size for one. Sometimes you may see one a little larger, but not a lot. Signatures and avatars can be created for you, and if you want one, just hop on over to the Graphic Arts forum and ask for one, or post in someone's shop. Don't worry, these people don't bite.
Let's move onto a different topic. Mature content is probably something that will come up in the future, so let's clear this up. This is a role play for all ages, however, mature topics such as alcohol and drug use, sex, nudity, violence, etc., may occur, so be aware. If these topics are to occur, you must put an 'M' either in the topic title or description to let other players know that it contains mature content. If this rule is broken, you will be warned the first time. If it is broken again, you will be banned for a period of time, and third time results in a permanent ban.
What about covens? Let's see...vampire covens usually consist of two or more vampires. They can either be nomadic or they can have a permanent home somewhere, like the Cullens. Currently, the Cullens are the only official vampire coven, but another may be created in the future. Original Character covens that are more than four members are not allowed unless permission is given by an admin, but small covens of four or less members are acceptable.
And shifter packs? Well, as of now, there are only two, and those are Jacob's Pack and Sam's Pack. Another Original Character pack may be added in the future. Packs will usually consist of three or more shifters, and can become quite large. Usually packs are located in or around La Push, Forks, Seattle and Port Angeles. Original Character shifter packs that are more than four members are not allowed, unless, as said above, permission is given by an admin. Small packs that are four or less members are allowed.
Speaking of shifters, you might be wondering about Children of the Moon/werewolves. Well, werewolves do exist, but were almost hunted into extinction by the Volturi. Only a few managed to survive, and their whereabouts are currently unknown. Werewolves may be introduced to the plot at a later time. As you may know, they take the form of an average human until the full moon when they are forced to change from man to wolf. Unlike shifters, in their wolf form they stand on two hind legs and look like a mix between a human and a wolf. They are not as violent as legend says, though may become more aggressive during the time they are in wolf form. They are the only other creatures, besides shifters, that have the ability to destroy vampires.
One more thing on the topic of shifters: if you want to join your shifter as a shifter that hasn't phased yet, you can do that. BUT, their species must be put as human. Why? Because a shifter isn't officially a shifter until the first time they phase. When you decide you want your human/shifter to phase for the first time, please personal message an admin so we can change the character's group.
Now onto hybrids...you know Renesmee, right? The little half-human, half-vampire girl, Bella and Edward's lovely daughter, imprintee of Jacob Black? Yeah, the hybrid. Well, currently, hybrids are not allowed. You cannot join as a hybrid, and you cannot join a human that is pregnant with a hybrid. Hybrid application forms will be opened at a later date, but you are not allowed to conceive a hybrid without first applying for one. If you are caught breaking this rule it will result in a temporary ban.
One last thing before we move on: humans can become vampires, but you can't just decide that. If you want your human to become a vampire, you must apply for that to happen and wait for your application to be accepted. There's no guarantee that your application will be accepted, so don't throw a fit if yours isn't and someone else's is. Just wait and try again later.
Face claims are the people you use to represent your character. There is a list of face claims in use on the lists board; please be sure to check the list before joining a character to make sure the face claim you want isn't taken. Oh, and no using yourself as a face claim and NO CARTOON OR ANIME PLAYBYS PLEASE!
Canon face claims are listed on the face claims list in orange. These face claims cannot be used by anyone else other than the canon character.
Last but not least, have fun! And remember, as long as these rules are followed, things will run smoothly.
