Callie looks up from her magazine at the sound of Courtney's voice, her light blonde hair falling freely to about her shoulders. She was leafing through a celebrity gossip magazine, reading up on the latest news about a certain Ms. Spear's desire to remain a crackwhore. (Someone needs to take those kids away from that woman...) Callie thinks to herself, placing the magazine down on the desk in front of her. She chews her gum, making an audible noise as she swivels her rolling chair closer to the desk.
“I’m here looking for a job….you wouldn’t be able to help me, would you?”
Callie lets out a sigh, not that she was angry at Courtney or anything, but she really didn't want to do anything but sit in the chair and answer phone calls today. "We have two spots open, actually." She says, trying to make her voice sound sincere but probably sounding quite bitchy, "We're looking for a new Advice Columnist since Mrs. Halliwell is on tour promoting her new book, and we're also looking for someone for the Crime section. Both of them are good spots, I suppose. The Advice Columnist position should be obvious. The Crime section could get a little gross, since you'd have to talk to the police and find out about murders and yucky stuff like that."
She pauses, still chewing her gum loudly and reaches forward for a pen and some paperwork. "If you do want to try out for either of the spots, there is a lot of paper work I'm going to need you to do." The gypsy places the pen and papers on top of the desk, giving her a perky smile.

Courtney unintentionally raises a brow at the sigh cast from Callie’s lips. (Rude…this is her job. What does she expect – to just be let to sit reading some trashy magazine and chewing gum, loudly I might add, all day?) She tries her best not to make her opinion of the girl obvious, having learnt that lesson from her little interaction with Joss back at the coffee shop. So the blonde Wiccan just forces a smile across her face, acting as if she found nothing wrong with the woman’s reluctant behaviour.
Courtney thinks over both possible positions, weighing up the pros and cons of both. She’s unsure which she’s more attracted to. She wasn’t exactly looking to write about crime, but then again she didn’t really want to answer a bunch of whiney letters. (Crime could be interesting though…) That’s it; she’s made her mind up. Crime it is. After all, how good could advice given by a twenty-two year old woman be? She herself is lost at what to do on many an occasion. (Ohhh and I’ll be up, close and personal with all those hottie cops…well they better be good looking, I’d hate it if it was those beer-bellied, doughnut-eating slobby ones…I mean seriously, how do they even get jobs as cops?)
“I’ll try for the crime section please…even if it could get a bit yucky” Courtney replies with a cheeky smile; starting to admire the more helpful side Callie begins to show. (She was probably just at a good bit…I mean; you think Britney’s already crazy and then she does something bigger, smuttier and well...ultimately crazier.) She takes the pen from the pile of papers the young gypsy placed out for her and begins to fill in the information asked for. (She wasn’t kidding; there is a lot of paperwork…) Her eyes squint in a frustrated manner as she finishes the last of the papers. “There…all done”

“I’ll try for the crime section please…even if it could get a bit yucky”
Callie blinks, a little surprised at the petite blonde’s answer. “You’re loss…” She says, shrugging her shoulders and picking the magazine back up again. Honestly, Callie isn’t trying to be a bitch, but it’s just how she comes across to people. And hey, once you work for Elise, you would feel the same way. Leafing through the pages for a couple of seconds, Callie looks up over the magazine when Courtney finishes the paper work.
She nods her head, reaching forward and taking the papers in front of her with one hand whilst still holding the magazine by the cover in the other hand. She reads the paper work over, nodding every so often and arching an eyebrow at some points. “Well, you seem qualified…“ Callie says, finishing up the resume and setting it down on her desk. The young gypsy sighs again, placing the magazine down on the desk and turning towards her computer. She quickly types out some information, copying parts of the resume into an email document.
After a couple of minutes, Callie looks up from the computer and glances at Courtney again. "Okay, Miss Adams, I've just sent an email to Elise, our editor, with your resume. If you'll just go up onto the second floor and find her office, she'll get started with your interview."
(Hope you're ready for that...) Callie muses internally, knowing how daunting Elise can be.

Callie looks up from her magazine once more, letting out a soft sigh. (Don't these people know the almighty powers of emailing your resume in?) She thinks sarcastically to herself, putting on a faux smile and popping her gum loudly. She looks the young man before her over, noting that he is very attractive though knowing this town, probably gay. (A girl can dream though, right?) Callie adds to her train of thoughts, about to say something but stops when he begins to speak.
"Hi, I'm looking for a job."
(Naw, really?) Callie thinks to herself, a small smile forming on her lips. She notes his nervous behavior, having taken psychology in high school and just being good at reading people. "Nerves, kid. They'll get you in this business." She says in a patronizing voice, crossing her arms over her chest and leaning back in the seat. "However, we have a spot in--" Callie continues, though is cut off by an audible ding from the computer in front of her signaling she has an email.
Her eyes quickly scan the email from the head honcho upstairs, Elise, reading it over a couple times to make sure she read it correctly. Knowing Elise, one fudge up on Callie's part would mean she's out of here for good. "I'm sorry, but as of now, all of the positions are filled. If you'd like to leave a resume with me, I'll be sure that Elise will get it at some point in time." She says, giving him a very catty smile and opening a desk drawer. Inside are what appears to be dozens of applications and resumes, some looking like they've been in there for decades.

Callie clearly rolls her eyes, a little annoyed at all the questions coming from the eager candidate. "Kid, I hate to break it to you, but unless one of our writers dies, then you're outta luck. Journalism is a dog eat dog world. It's almost as tough as modeling. Like my hero Mrs. Klum says, either you're in or you're out." Callie says, popping her gum even louder as she gets more annoyed.
"Take a wild guess as to who is out." With that, she accidentally taps into her gypsy power of psychic headache, now causing Tyker to have a headache for the next three posts. Realizing that she accidentally used her power, Callie chokes on her gum, quickly spitting it out on the ground in front of her. Coughing, she gives a weak smile to Tyker as she points to the door. "That's all."

| QUOTE (Email) | To: Callie From: Elise Rothman RE: Journalism Positions
Callie.
I have finished with Miss Adams. She is on her way out. I have decided on my two candidates for both positions. We are no longer accepting any resumes.
