My god... I need a car!

Chanel walks into the administrative office with her head held high. She fixes her hair and her skirt, making sure she looked halfway decent. She glances around the place before heading straight to the desk. Not wanting to seem to pushy. After a minute of cooling off she takes her steps towards the main desk and greets who she thinks is the clerk with a smile.

"Hi, my name is Chanel Larocque and I have an appointment with the dean."

Hopefully this will fly by too. I don't want to be stuck here all day.

Memories of her enrollment at UCLA came flooding back into her head. It took her forever to get classes in order and she wanted to drop out before the first day. Everything was so hectic and it wasn't exactly a very good first impression when she began. Her mind stays hopeful about this university.

Before the secretary has a chance to greet Chanel, Adrian comes out of his own office near the back of the main room in search of Chanel's file. His assistant had pulled it out for him an hour ago, but someone must have put it away on him because it wasn't where he'd left it. "Rose, have you seen-" He's cut off when he sees Chanel standing at the desk. He smiles. "You must be Chanel," He says and closes the distance with long strides to the main desk. He holds out his hand for her to take.

"I'm Dean Huntley. But the students and staff call be Adrian." He introduces himself. He then sees the file he had been searching for on the corner of the main desk near Rose. "Ah!" He exclaims, grabbing it with his free hand. He'd already gone over it several times, but he wanted to go over it again before she arrived. So much for that idea.

Chanel's attention switches to the dean. Her cheeks blush when she sees him. She didn't know if it was nerves or the fact that even though he was an older man, he was quite charming. Her bright teeth are shown almost immediately when he says her name.

"Yes that's me, Chanel Larocque. I recognized your voice from when we spoke on the phone a few days back."

Chanel was oblivious to how distinct her accent was, which she was trying to hide more and more. The Gypsy's Brown orbs dance among him.

He looks like he sounds... That's great!

"So where do we begin?"

Adrian smiles when she says she recognizes his voice. It's not surprising. He's been told many times that his voice is unique and unmistakeable. Even after only a few words. Her own voice was quite intrigueing. He had always had a fascination with accents.

"Right this way, Ms. Laroque," He says with a smile, beckoning her towards his office at the back of the room with the folder. "We really only need to organize the classes you've chosen and go over a few other things that I forgot to ask you on the phone." He informs her as he leads the way to his office. He opens the door and allows her to pass through it first.

Chanel nods and smiles, while walking behind the counter and to Adrian's office. She gives a big smile as he lets her pass first and mouths 'thank you'. She sits down in front of his desk, in a chair. The gypsy crosses her legs and looks around the room at the furniture and decoration.

Well this is truly how an office should look. Plant in the corner, a picture or two on the wall and the bookshelf behind the desk.

Chanel glances behind her to watch him come in and opens her mouth, not waiting for him to reach his seat.

"Ok, so as you already know I plan on continuing my degree from UCLA and major in Psychology, but one thing I had forgotten to mention is that I would also like to take a few classes in the field of literature and add that as perhaps a second major or most likely a minor. I don't want to overwork my self right off the back."

She gives a little school girl giggle and sits up in her seat with a confident smile on.

Adrian closes the door behind him as Chanel sits in the chair directly opposite his own. With her back turned, he takes a few moments to review her file just once more. Nothing he hadn't forgotten. Good. He closes it and moves to his large, high-backed leather chair.

He nods, remembering her goal for Psychology. When he sits, he reopens the folder and takes out his favourite fountain pen. "I think that's possible, Miss Laroque," He says with his famous smile flashing in her direction which widens at the girlish giggle. His mind goes elsewhere as his thoughts turn to something unbecoming of a dean. But no so unbecoming of a demon. But for the sake of appearance, he pullsh is mind back and focuses on the task in front of him.

"What is your ultimate goal, Miss Laroque?" He asks, resting his forearms on the desk and clasping his fingers together. "What do you plan on doing with your education, I mean. After you've finished here with us?" His eyes focus on Chanel as if she's the only other person in the room. "It's usually a good idea to taylor your educational courses to match your career goals." He adds, hoping that would help her if she wasn't sure yet.

Chanel almost melts with his smile, it was almost perfect. She compares it with others she has seen, but soon takes her mind off of the smile when he begins to speak. As the questions came out it really got her to think... What did she want to do with her life afterwards? Maybe teach, or become a therapist, but mainly she wanted to write.

This question never really came to the surface...

"Adrian, um, well I honestly can't say something exact. I know I want to help people, with both mind and skill, but as for a career. I think my place would be as a therapist. I've always liked the title Dr."

Am I making sense?

The lost Romany clears her head before continuing. She didn't want to waste his time so she was trying to sound like she knew what she was getting into.

"And with education, I've always wanted to be a teacher or preferably a guidance counselor. With Psychology the options are wide and I guess it's something I have to think about and decide later on, you know?"

Adrian nods slowly. He did, in fact understand. Probably not on a level that Chanel would, but he did. When he was assigned to the university, he was apprehensive. Was this really where he belonged? Wasn't there somewhere else he could serve better? But it had turned out to be the perfect position for him.

As the gyspsy goes off, trying to sound slightly knowledgable about her future, Adrian just lets her. Sometimes people just needed to talk things out. But as she does so, Adrian thinks of a way to help her. It sounded as if a high school guidance counseller slash teacher would be the best route.

"Well, Miss Laroque, I think I may have a solution for you." He says, pulling out the 2008 Fall Calender. "Why not major in both English and Psychology? That way, you can be both a teacher and a counsellor." He suggests. It wasn't unheard of. He flips to the Literature section of the book and takes a highlighter, highlighting the classes he would suggest. "These are key courses that would help you." He slides to book over to the gypsy so she can read it. "Of course, yo uwould still need to go to teachers college, as well, once you gradutate. But with majors in both, you'll be teaching in no time. As I recal, teacher's college is mostly in-class stuff." He explains, trying to remember when he'd done it. "There's only a few actual formal classes. The rest is all placement at your choice of school I think."

Chanel, loving his advice, takes it into consideration. If this is what he thought would be best for her, then was she to argue with the dean? She nods agreeing with him and looks over the highlighted classes. As she looks over the list, still listening to him, her mind began to feel tight. She was comfortable with his suggestions until he spoke about going to another college later on. That definitely was not what she wanted.

"As wonderful as that sounds I think maybe I'll just stick to one major. I haven't planned on going to another school once I leave here and really I just want to get in and out with a future and a promising career."

Teaching doesn't pay much anyway.

Her brown eyes traced over the book looking at the classes that corresponded with Psychology. This is something her heart was set on already and she wanted to get started with it soon.
