1.) Make sure whatever site holding the picture is still valid. Don't trust geocities or cheap internet free sites. I would HIGHLY recommend user account .com sites that store images for you. Try www.photobucket.com It's a very good site. You'll have an account and be set in no time with your very own picture library storage space.

2.) Avatars for the forum must be no larger than 180 x 180 dimension and no larger than 25kb in size or the forum won't accept them. Signature pictures, to my knowledge, can be any size. Both avatar and signature pics must be linked through a site.

3.) A small note concerning Invision Board's avatar options. It allows uploading of avatar pictures from your computer but I don't know if this is 100% trustworthy. I recommend using Photobucket as mentioned above and supply the avatar through a link to a url of the picture instead.

4.) Make sure the file name is one word. For example, if I have a picture showing my Myth tag with a comet next to it, I would name the file "Grahf_Comet." I would NOT name it "Grahf Comet."

5.) The forum accepts many different types of image filetypes, but I would highly recommend .jpeg's or .jpg's. They are one of the lowest forms of picture compression (helps dialup users visualize picture faster) and are universally accepted anywhere. Same applies to .gif's.

6.) For avatars, make sure you type this in the "edit avatar settings" of the "my controls" section when logged in with your user name: input url "http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v328/Dwurfur007/Minami_Gun.jpg" Input that into the url box. If successful, you should have Minami from the kick ass anime, Comic Party, displaying a water machine gun.

For signatures, make sure you type this under the "edit signature" portion of the "my controls" section when logged in with your user name: "http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v328/Dwurfur007/MinamiComic_Staredown.jpg" Input [IMG] brackets around the url into the edit signature box. If successful, you should have Minami staring down two geeky Otaku's with her water machine gun.

Simply replace the above with a picture of your own choosing from photobucket. If done correct as you did above, your picture should show as well.
