Ok, so I was browsing through my beloved forums today and look what i stumbled upon. A post by Aragorn:

"Please, PLEASE PLEASE stop banning rankers from ranked. The just come to unranked and bitch at us about not being in ranked. Yes I understand I should seen screen shots and blah but if you have already caught them doing something wrong once, why should I even have to bother? I know I have commented on this before in an immature way and I'm sorry about that but seriously, this needs to stop. I think everyone who plays unranked really and truley appreciates the game and welcomes changes to it. So please, throw the unrankers a freakin' bone here."

Why? Who exactly is bothering you? Most people who go to unranked from ranked are practicing or having fun. Why spoil it? If unrankers can come to ranked then why can't it be vice versa. And btw this is the billionth time you've pissed off playmyth. Aaron is a nice guy, why do you tweak him and the pma's so much? If you report them, it will make things much easier.

I just think Aragorn kind of has a bad misconception about ranked players . Try playing in ranked Aragorn, you'll find there really aren't a whole lot of asses as you would think. Sure you'll get your "OMFG you Noob I own youz!" players, but they are actually few and far between. The only exception I could make to this is if you go into ranked and you're a newb. Well of course you're going to get flamed by nearly everyone, so the misconception holds true there. If you suck at Myth then you dont belong in ranked, period . When you think about it, if a newb player walks into ranked and expects to tango with the big boys, thats not only a slap in the face to him but it's kind of an insult to the players who DO play hard and are experienced.

No one wants a handicap, but unfortunately if a newb walks in then unfortunately that IS a handicap. So how do you tell a newb to leave nicely? Simply put you cant, you have to tell him off and unfortunately give him a lecture as to why he cant play, despite it being a free country, an open gaming community, etc.

Aragorn, I've seen you play over the few years I've known you. I remember when I first met you back when System was still with us. I played matches with you and what not. I never told you this, but back then I labeled you as a newb . However, in the time I've known you you've developed your skills literally tenfold. You arent the same player you used to be and thats for the better! The point I'm making is that I believe you could compete well in ranked, you just have to give it a chance. You'll find Myth a lot more fun as a result .
