This post has been given the Extraordinary Post AwardStanding alone, a fair sized wolf looked solemnly at the forgotten beach. The white sand was smooth without anything to bother it, the tides slow with no hurry, the salty air stinging any nose that may inhale too deeply. Many wooden shacks lay scattered, blasted with ocean spray and worn away with the steady wind. Some lay with nets and fishing tackle still attached, few with the remains of what were once boats. Canoes mostly, but few held simple and small fishing boats, light enough to carry. There was the odd boat shack tossed along the docks, sunken ships still tied to the still standing harbor. There was driftwood scattered along the shoreline, along with dried starfish and the old carcass of a fish. If she cared to venture closer, the wolf would see prints of gulls which had feasted earlier, but she cared little and began to move.
Taking care to not injure herself on the sharper pieces of wood and glass, the silver wolf glided closer to the old harbor. The sunken but still tied boats intrigued her. Though it would take time and the aid of others, these ships could possibly be resurrected and saved. Not the larger ones, but a simple fishing boat. If it was managed, there would be fish and other seafood for the less fortunate days. But she shook her head, since there where few who would bother with her ideas. Sure, they may be forced for bribed into it, but there where none willingly, not for a creature like herself. Truth was, this wolf wasn’t a wolf, nor was it anything else. In the middle between angel and were perhaps, but neither for sure. Nephilim. That’s what she was.
Turning back to scavenge the few standing shacks, she eyed the circling birds and sighed. These type of gulls where everywhere. They were so annoying, ugly, and horrible tasting that there was little to be done about them, let alone catch them. She picked up her pace and trotted toward the first and largest shack. It was still standing solid, though the windows were long since broken and the door was removed. Either way, she scented the entrance before cautiously entering, unsure if there was any creature inside.

It was just another one of those days. Ryo wasn't sure what had brought him to that area... he should have stayed in East Residential, to protect his claim on the land. But he did not. Now wandering around, the black and silver wolf slowly tread across the damp sand.
His silvery blue eyes caught a movement farther up the beach, near a shack, and lifting his head, he scented lightly for the source. His eyes focused in on another wolven figure as it sniffed around the entrance to a shack. He stood there for a moment, not sure whether to turn away, or to greet the other.
Some wolves could be very aggressive. What if this was the other's territory? But Ryo wasn't sure of that. Nothing seemed so simple or easy now that his Klan was dead. Sighing, he made his way up the beach toward the femme, hoping that she wouldn't be too angry when she saw him.
"Hello?" he said, from a ways off, carefull not to startle her.

Lue's head shot upward, away from worn driftwood that smelled still of the forest it came from. It had salt on it no doubt, but the forest was odd against this area's background. Her ears pricked and pointed toward the voice. From where she was, all it seemed to be was another wolf, black and silver, similar to her own colouring. However, he stood a distance yet, almost fearful to come near. Wouldn't blame him in these times.
She smiled gingerly and backed from the shack, and came closer to him to examine exactly who or what he could be. There where so many werewolves these days that it wouldn't surprize her if he was one. "Hello," she stopped, still leaving a fair distance, "I didn't think there would be anyone else here." She cocked her head, then blinked curiously. She guessed she seemed friendly enough, not that she could help it or anything. Besides her curent mood, she did figure she looked harmless enough. Sand drying along her pads and up her legs, with some attached to her chin and belly. All simply from sniffing and moving around closer to the tide and along the damp sand. She also could feel dried grass attached to her tail, though didn't think much of it. She could groom later.

She smiled as he spoke his name. It was strong, well choosen. Nothing similar to her's, which had been choosen as a last minute stand-in. "Call me Lue please, Ryo." she beamed at him with kindness and openness, then followed his gaze that was once on the waves. Each wave held stories of where they had been, though she couldn't hear them. Her life was too short for anything of the sort to happen to her.
With careful eyes, she turned once more to Ryo. He stood calmly, and was easy to speak to. Didn't seem to care, or perhaps notice, what she was. 'Better that way I suppose,' she thought, then awaited his reply, should she get one. Eventually the topic she feared would surface, and there was only two reactions. She sighed, blinked, then slightly shook her head. For better or worse, he seemed quite at ease along the beach she so adored.

She listened to his voice, aware of what he spoke of. "No, I travel too much to be from here." she smiled once more, "I've only just came into the area. this is my first visit."
She noticed the gull and sighed, then eyed the trash that was strung and stuck in the falled shacks. Some lay in the shallows, washing up with the tides. Some where shiney, some multi-coloured. However, they were all stange to her even after traveling and seeing all there could possibly be... in a matter of speaking.
"Eastside Residential? Sounds large."
[Ooc: Family problems, sorry for the short and horribleness]

She shook her head, "No, just arrived. I was just wandering when I found that shack," she looked back, to aid in pointing it out; "Other than that I'm quite new to these parts."
She flicked her ear back, catching the sound of a gull being dragged out by a wave. It screached before taking to the sky and circling once more. Lue only wished it had drowned, she hated the things.
"In Eastern Residential? Are there others there?" she was curious, aware she had quickly shifted the topic. She blinked, then forgot about it. It was most likely better to let these things be.
