His legs moved swiftly as he made is way from the junkyard to the forest. It was a distance especially when he was trying to pass up Myori. She had gotten a head start from the junkyard and held a steady lead. Though he didn’t want to go full force to catch and pass her, he wanted to save his energy for the hunt, she was old enough for him to stop letting her win. Though he was getting on in the years his speed had not diminished and with his powerful hind legs he could easily leap to close the distance between them. That was always his way of getting the jump on the what ever he was chasing. He could leap great distances, and the one between him and his daughter was anything but great. But he decided it would be fairer if he simply ran.

He took a deep breath and pumped his legs, hard. Quickly he moved in on her, as if it was her he was hunting. It didn’t take him long to get side by side with her, breathing heavily he turned to her and said, “you better keep up kiddo.” Laughing he passed her up but not my much, just in time as the hit the woods. He stopped with his tongue out panting, “it looks like you need those laps around the junkyard.” He said smiling, “I’ll make sure you do them then.” This only made him laugh, and he laughed hard. “but enough fun lets get to work, all that running made me hungry.”

Myori leaped easily along the trail, her head held high, her tongue lolled at her side as she enjoyed the fresh crips wind blowing against her maw and snout. Her pale blue eyes gleamed when her father passed her,"you better keep up kiddo.” . "Awe... Dad..." Myori whined as she pushed her bendy muscular legs faster, trying to keep up with her swift muscular Doberman of a dad. When she skidded to a stop beside Dyre at the edge of her woods, her nose picked up the scent of a few prey, and her hackles rised as she licked her chops.

“it looks like you need those laps around the junkyard.I'll make you do them". "Nuh uh. I'll make sure I get a gigantic deer!" Myori exclaimed, her childishness shining through again as she flexed her muscles, tensed up for a good hunt. “but enough fun lets get to work, all that running made me hungry.” . Her tail wagged as she turned towards the dense forest, "C'mon, hurry up dad..." Myor whined before bounding off into the woods, after her selected prey.

Dyre laughed at his daughter’s child like enthusiasm as she ran off after the scent of deer. He took a good whiff before dropping his stance. Head lowered, left ear laid back followed shortly by his tattered right. Eyes narrowing as he watched the underbrush. Legs spread wide apart as to keep himself low to the ground but with a strong posture. He watched along the trail that Myori followed, the deer was not in sight from where he stood but he could sure smell it. But he didn’t want that deer, no that was Myori’s prey, he would find another.

He pressed his nose to the dirt to sniff out something good. Which he found only a few feet to the left of where he was standing passed a bush. Boar droppings. He leapt through the bush and followed the hoof prints of the boar. It seemed to be a full-grown boar. Though he was unable to tell if it was male or female, the fact that it didn’t have any smaller prints following it made him assume it was male. He followed softly, in his mind laughing at the thought of Myori running around the junkyard fifty times. But as soon as he caught glimpse of the boar, all thoughts of the bet where pushed to the back of his mind. He stalked it quietly till it stopped to eat some berries this was his moment. He took his stance and readied for the attack. But before he could some loud noise broke his concentration and made the boar flee for its life.

Angrily he looked in the direction of the noise to find out what it was.

Myori loped off into the dense forest, grinning as she picked up the scent of the deer, but soon, she grew serious, and as she neared her prey, she crouched, all her muscles tensed, her lips bared to show her white fangs, she moved slowly, lithely, almost cat-like, she stalked her prey, and soon, her snout and maw broke free of some thick busehs, and what Myori saw was a lush field, in the middle of the forest, where a whole heard of deer, and a single watchful stag was grazing. The stag was careful of his doe's and fawns as they romped, and the stag watched. Myori was careful, and luck was on her side. The wind was blowing downwards, bringing her scent away from the watchful stag. Chuckling, she retreated from her placed and slowly and quietly stalked towards where the stag was. He was the biggest, and largest of them all, and that definately picked at Myori's taste buds.

Hoping against hope that nothing will suddenly turn up and disturb her, she crouched again, her muscles tensed, and in a split second, she kicked off with her muscular back legs and leaped into the air, and dropped on to the back of the stag. The might stag gave a cry of anguish, and started bucking, trying to get the hungry Husky off his back as his doe's and fanws ran about in confusion. Sinking her claws firmly into his furry brown back, her fangs lashed, and in a mere second, they sunk into his vein of life. The stag gave a loud cry of anguish, more like the howl of a wolf mixed with the cry of a banshee, before it collapesm its antlers and face hitting the ground, and he tumbled under Myori's feet.

Victory eveident, Myori kept her fangs into the vein for a while, before releasing it and licke dher chops, her pale blue eyes twinkled.

Cronus hated the summer. The heat beat down on his back daily, and even the nights were dry and terrible. He was a winter dog at heart, and there was most certainly no snow for him to roll around in. But either way, the land was good land. He highly doubted that he could be the first dog to find it. It was the perfect place for any pack, but then again it wasn't all that easy to find. His travel from the north had been long and perilous but he had finally made it to his destination. His mind wandered back to that moment two months ago when he had heard. It was just about impossible but it was most probably true. Sari, the late leader of the Kato Klan, having a descendant. Cronus laughed at the thought of it. He had figured Sari too weak to impregnate a female. His father had refered to him in that manner since the day his uncle had died. But that was beside the point. If Sari had a descendant then things were going to make it a lot more difficult for him to take the Klan. After all, this Dyre, was the true heir to the pack.

Cronus let out a quick laugh and stopped for a moment to stretch out his muscular body. The years had been good to him, but he could feel his bones slowly getting brittle. It mattered not. His sect was known for their long lives. His golden eyes surveyed the area. Then an extremly familiar scent hit his nostrils. One he hadn't smelt since he had been a little boy. It was the scent of his uncle, passed down into that of his cousin. Dyre was close, and it seemed that his resource hadn't lied to him after all. He grinned and let out a loud and obnoxious laugh. Cronus bounded towards the point were it was most evident. There he was, ready to hunt down the boar that stood in front of him. He looked to be pure doberman, and a large peice of his ear was missing but Cronus could see that he hadn't inherited his father's pathetic body. He let loose from his lungs, a course and sickening hack of a bark. He only barked like that when he was excited, and it was most definetly enough to send the boar bounding for it's life. Dyre flipped around imediatly and found the souce. "Finally I don't have to keep searching. Do you not recognize me? Not likely, I don't believe we've even met before, unless I was too young to remember," he laughed, hard and strong. "A reunion of the only remaining sects that I know of. It's good to finally see you, my cousin."

Dyre was in a deep shock when he saw the great dog before him. The only thing that was in his head was what he had said, cousin, and it repeated in Dyre’s mind continually. How could this big….thing be his cousin? He had been informed that his family was destroyed. He stood silent a staring at the great brute for a long time. The surprised look fading from his face and into a more suspicious one. This dog was certainly old enough to have met Dyre before the sects split. By the looks of him he was Dyre’s age, maybe even older. And after a few more seconds remembered that two of the sects had not been heard from in some time. They did not come to avenge Dyre’s fathers and the rest of his sect’s lives. He slowly began to speak, “cousin, you say,” suspicion in his voice “well tell me then “cousin” what sect are you from and how is it that you have come upon me this day?” he took a step forward toward his lost relative to examine him.

This was an unexpected twist on Dyre’s life, and ruined the rare good mood that he was in only moments before. “oh and if it wouldn’t be too much trouble I would like your name as well.” He said more smugly than before but still holding on to his suspicious tone.

Clamping her massive jaws on the neck of her newly caught prey, she dragged the dead carcass across the big plain, backtracking from where she came, to go back to her father. Grinning, she was sure Dyre couldn't catch a bigger stag then she had, when what she saw flooded all other thoughts out of her mind. Dropping the neck, she bounded like a lightning flash towards the two dogs and skidded to a stop beside the Doberman, snarling.

"Who is this father?" Myori asked through her hackles, never taking her eyes off the newcomer, glaring at him menacingly.

Cronus let out a large hearty laugh. "Is it proof that you desire? I suppose my pelt is not what you are most accustomed too in the klan." He chuckled once more. He could hardly stop laughing anyway. He had finally found what he had been searching for. "I may be of a different color but can you truly not smell the Doberman blood coursing through my veins? I am the heir of Kaaz, your uncle and your fathers brother. I trust you are smart enough to know the meaning of this. Sari may have been weak but I doubt he was dumb as well." Just as he was asked his name, Another dog arrived. This one was younger, likely in her prime. She stood on the offensive and growled towards him. She looked in no way to be related to Dyre, and yet she reered to him as her father.

"Well you certainly are an upfront bitch (ooc: bitch as in female dog, not bitch as in woman with bad personality.) Have you adopted this one Dyre? I don't smell any trace of you in her scent." Cronus laughed again. "I have come to visit you cousin. To reunite our klan. I should wish to kill you my cousin, but I will not. I seek not a fight but a reunion." The truth was that Cronus did wish a fight but not any more. He suspected just from his build that Dyre was no weakling. A fight with him wouldn't be a walk in the park, and even if he did manage to defeat him he would easily have his daughter to deal with next. In the end he would surely be defeated no matter what. Now was not the time for battle. But it wasn't just the promise of defeat that kept him from lunging into battle. He had a duty not oly to his father but to the ones that had fought against the wolves and removed themselves from slavery. Dogs helped dogs no matter what. "I wish very well to fight you cousin but I will not risk death at this time. I hate you cousin, with all my heart, but the klan is clearly in need. The two of you cannot hold it alone. Soon you are bound to be driven from your land, and so I have come to help."

It was true; Dyre could smell the Doberman blood on him. And Dyre was about to agree with him and drop his guard a little the stupid mutt before him insulted Sari. A fire was ignited in Dyre that hadn’t been in a long time. His eyes widened and his lips curled back. He didn’t know his father but he had heard stories from Finn and also from others. Not to mention that every so often he would get a memory in a dream of his father and his mother before they where slaughtered by who he thought to be the Arunas. He would not sit here and let this piece of garbage that tried to pass himself off as a Kato lord insult the true lord of the Klan.

Just as he was about to loose his head when Myori showed up and instantly his fire cooled. She stood at the ready to fight with the strange brute before them. He watched her and felt extreme guilt for his daughter carried no Kato blood at all. This brute’s appearance certainly ruined his good mood, which was rare enough. He took a deep sigh and then turned from the both of them. “You still have not given me your name.” He said after a long silence. “And you don’t need to worry about a fight, if I wanted to fight you then you would have been dead after that comment about my father.” He then turned only his head back to look at Myori, guilt still crushing him on the inside, “it looks like you win,” he said solemnly and began to walk away.

Her snarl subsided, and her lips returned to cover her fangs, as she looked at the retreating back of Dyre, frowning. "You'll have hell to pay if anything's wrong with my father." Myori snarled at the stranger of the dog, threathening him, before bounding off after the Doberman. Skidding to a stop beside the massive dog, her snout went up to nuzzle against the muzzle of Dyre before saying, "Don't worry father, the only thing I want you to do right now is stand up and fight against the useless mutt. C'mon, the lord of the Kato isn't that easy to fight off, is he?" Myori asked, tongue lolling out as she tried to cheer her adoptive dad up.
