Shore-Side Scavenging

Ryo slowly brought his head up from the ground to look at her, watching curiously as the loch of hair was freed from its woven restraints. Seeing that he obviously must have been staring, he quickly moved his eyes away, looking out toward the sea.

"Thank you," he said, still looking out toward the sea. "I'm sorry, about your daughter. Sometimes its unfortunate not to be close with your parents... I was lucky enough to be close to my father." A gull dipped into the top of a wave, the water sparkling as it sloshed up when it flew away again.

""How old is she now?" he inquired after a moment, not sure exactly what he should say on the subject. He didn't want to offend her, or bring up touchy subjects. It wouldn't have been right for him to interrogate her that way.

She smiled, remembering what Tillie had looked like in her young years. It was true, she was at least seventeen now, maybe sixteen or eighteen. Lue didn't know for sure... it was, perhaps, better that way.

"Should be about seventeen."
She sighed, staring at the slowly bluring image of her silky hair. She tried to hold them back, but she knew full well she could lose it at any point.
She hadn't wanted to leave her daughter, but had too. She had no choice. Tillie was closer to being full blooded than herself, and would have had a better life than if she knew the truth...

Choaking her tears back, Lue knew Tillie hated her. Passionatly, she hated her mother. There was no denying it, and Lue couldn't blame her.
"She'll be a free girl soon."

It was hard for him to connect to her in that aspect. Ryo had no children of his own, he still considered himself young. Besides that, he was a pureblood, Starfall wasn't. Looking at her, he could easily see how sad she was. It was hard just looking at her.

Turning back to the ocean for a moment, the sun danced on the waves. "Well," he said, "it is getting late. I ought to be getting home." He walked along the beach, his form shrinking down into its wolven one.

Suddenly he stopped, turning to look through silver bangs at her. "You should come," he said, softly smiling at her.

She blinked, quite suddenly aware of how low the sun had become. It was shocking to her, though found it odd she had to be remembered.

However, Lue would have followed anyway. She had nowhere to go, nothing else to do. Even if she could be anywhere, the chances of somewhere nice to stay was next to nothing. It woul dbe best to stay with someone, anyone, possible untill her mind had cleared. Lue nearly jumped for joy when he Ryo had paused to ask her to come along. It was something she'd only thought of happening.

"I suppose, if you wish."
She gave him a kind smile, then started to follow, careful to not get sand into her shoes. It was one of those things she couldn't stand. The constant rubbing bothered her.

With a little, nearly inaudible sigh, Lue paused somewhat behind, to the side of him. She really had no clue where to go. Even so, should she go the right direction, she could still somehow get lost. There really was no choice for her.

"I'm surprized it really got this late. The tiem sure flys nowa days."
She spoke kindly, smiling nicely before looking out to the ocean again. She stiill, now and forever would love to watch, smell, and see the constant motion.\

ooc. So did you decide to join the Aruna Klan? or was she just staying with them for awhile? I'm going to end this thread here. We can start another one later.

Ooc: She's staying for now. I'll have her make a decision after two more threads, so that it's not too long, but makes some people wonder. I'll be having tillie come in soon as well, I'd like some conflict for Lue since she's so easy going right now.
