Aoko glanced up from her homework into the night sky. She was alone again, in this small house she called "home"; her father was at a Kid heist, her childhood friend, Kuroba Kaito was probably -at- said heist, too- he said he was busy. (She sighed at that, feeling a knot of dissapointment tighten with unexpressed longing.)

She stretched, yawning. There was nothing to do, no one to be with. No one to talk to. The dim light of her desk lamp glowed faintly into the darkness of her room. She didn't bother to turn on the room's normal source of light, as there was no Father to fuss over how bad her eyesight could get if she didn't read properly. And come to think of it, no Mother as well.

The clock read 10:30. Feeling rather guiltily irresponsible, she flicked off the desk lamp, heading out to the kitchen to wash the dishes.

After all...what -else- was there to do? ... If she was to be a maid, she had to act like one.

Conan sighed, he could hear it. He could hear Ran crying again, and it was becouls of him, no shinichi. Conan stood outside Ran's door pondering over what he should do now.

He could knock on Ran's door claiming he had a bad dream. 'Too childish' he thought, 'Ran knows I wouldn't do that, I may look six but she knows me to well.' 'I could claim that i woke up to use the bathroom, and heard her crying'

Suddenly the crying stoped. "Conan-kun? Is that you?" Ran called out softly. "Yeah, it's me" Conan replied. Ran opened her door and asked "shouldn't you be asleep?". "uhh, I woke up to use the bathroom" he studdered. "you sould go to sleep Conan-kun, you have school in the morning" she smiled. "Ok Ran-neechan goodnight" he said. "Goodnight Conan-kun" she replied.

Who you want to be and why: Ran Mouri, simply in the fact that she kicks butt. As a long time watcher of the show and total addict to the series in general, I can safely say that Ran is my favorite character.
Do you have any RP experience?: Yes, quite a bit. I've been role-playing for about 3 and a half years now and am a vital member of many role-play sites (If you think I'm bluffing, ask the folks at Hikari Eizou, about their lovely Kairi XD)
Give me a sample RP:

It was a cool and crisp fall morning as Ran Mouri sat in front of the television. She had cleaned the den earlier that morning, but it still smelled distinctly like beer and cigarette smoke from her father's latest binge of toxins. She sighed, spritzing some air freshener in a vain attempt to mask it. She had allowed Conan out for the morning. She felt just awful about him living with her at times. She had to wonder what sort of effect her father's behavior was having on his poor and innocent little mind. Of course, she had absolutely no idea that his mind was anything but poor and innocent.

She flipped channels lazily, trying to find something decent to watch, when she happened upon a detective film. She recognized it instantly; Shinichi had dragged her to see it when it was at the movies. "Detective geek..." she mumbled, red splashing the bridge of her nose and her cheeks as she fought back tears. She didn't like to admit, even to herself, just how much she REALLY missed him. She opened her mouth to call in Conan, but closed it when she realized he was gone at the moment. Holding that little boy...little ANGEL... in her arms always managed to make her feel better. Her thoughts were interrupted by the loud and annoying BRINGGGGG of the phone. Ran had really grown to DESPISE that phone. It was the kind they used in office buildings. The kind with the ring that was so irritating that it would nag until you gave in and picked it up. She winced at it's call a second time, picking it up. She took in a deep breath and said, in a routine fashion, "Hello, Mouri Private Detective Agency."

"Hey, Ran!" came a familiar, michevious voice. She instantly perked up from her gloomy slouch to an upright, stiff form.

"Shinichi!!!" she squealed. "Where are you? Are you coming home??!" That too, was routine. She always asked it almost immediatly.

There was a droop in the voice on the other end. "Sorry, Ran. The case has taken on a new twist and--"

"Honestly! You call yourself a detective?! I think your losing your touch, Kudo."Ran cut off, biting her lower lip to distract herself from breaking down in tears.

"Sorry, Ran!" he said apologetically. "It's really hard. A bajillion suspects and leads." She frowned.

"All right." She glanced to the clock. "Oh!! I'm sorry, Shinichi! Conan... he's been gone for almost an hour. I need to go find him...

"Oh--I'm sure he's fine..."

"No. I've got to find him. Bye, Shinichi. Come home soon!!" she said quickly, slamming the phone on the receiver and breaking down. She cried for about two minutes before regaining composure and slipping into a jacket.

"Conan-kun!" she called when she saw the little boy walking along the street. The little boy grinned and ran up, offering her a cupcake.

"I stopped by the bakery! Sorry if you were worried!!" She smiled quietly.

"Thank you, Conan-kun."

He smiled, half-hugging one of her arms. "It's nothing, Ran-neechan."

Plam! -there went her last beanie baby. The blue teddy bear fell from the screen, crashing against the ground with a faint grinding sound. She could care less, seeing as the drama on air took an unexpected, and painfully dreaded turn.

"You were supposed to KISS her!" The girl shouted, "Not HUG! Kiss! People, Kiss! Wh-?! Nooo!"

Swip- Click- SLAM!!

... The TV turned off. Sonoko fell back, collasping against the back of the couch, muttering. Then she stood, grabbing her prized pillow (all fluffy an' stuff~ No, it's not pink. C'mon people.).

Ahh. "He looked so cool too.." She sighed, closing the living room door. Nothing to be done, she'll just have to find out what happened next on the internet...

Haibara squinted at the miniscule font appearing on the computer screen. She inched her face closer to the monitor, then closed her eyes and sighed, slumping backward in her chair.
Still not what she was looking for.
She opened her icy-aqua eyes again, the lettering on the computer monitor reflecting in them.
She idly found herself wondering just how long this cure was going to take.
She'd made the APTX4869, so why was it so difficult to figure out how to undo it? She sighed.
One always pays for their mistakes...
She closed her eyes once more, and decided to take a break. She pressed her temporarily shrunken hands against the desk, causing the swivel-chair she was perched on to slide away from it. Shifting to the side, she hopped off the chair and headed for the stairs leading to the main level of the Professor's house.

"One. Two. Three," Ayumi said copying her older sister while she was excercising. Giggling she skipped into the kitchen and grabbed herself some orange juice. Going into her room she sat down on the floor reaching under her desk for the detective badge and setting it on her desk in case Mitsuhiko, Genta, or Conan called via badge.

"Now for that pesky homework," she settled herself down in a chair and grabbed a pencil. After long minutes of the pencil scratching tirelessly on the paper she flipped on the mini TV in her room and started watching a detective movie. "No! Look at that paper on the floor! Good! Now what is that curtain doing untied? Oh the detective didn't notice it! If that were Conan the movie would be over!" she grabbed a little notebook from the table and opened up to the last page of messy almost illedgible handwriting.

"I do wish that Conan would keep the log book..."

Give me a sample RP:Kazuha paced her house her hair hanging loose around her shoulders. Reaching for the phone for the thousandth time she hesitated before actually picked up the phone and quickly dialed in Heiji's number.

"Heiji!" she said sternly her hands on her hips. "Where have you been these past two days? A case? Yeah right," listening for a minute she sighed and sat down. "What you're in Tokyo? Hattori you should've brought me! Fine I'll see you in a few."

Hanging up Kazuha grabbed her coat and and purse before slipping on her shoes and running out the door to the bus station a short distance from her house. A few minutes later she was on the train to Tokyo. Ooh was Hattori in for it this time.

'Wait...which language was I talking in, again?' Jodie wondered as she stood there. 'Oh yeah...japanese...'
"Sorry about that...I just had to think about something! Well, to answer your question...to get there you need to go left then right," Jodie explained ending her sentence in english, "Okay!"
She took in a deep breath of air as she walked off in a hurried fashion. She smiled to herself as helping people find their way around Tokyo was fun in its own little way. Jodie soon found her thoughts wandering to the Cool Kid. He sure was cool, note the title she gave him.
'I wonder if he's doing okay...' Jodie wondered as she paused to think.
She adjusted her glasses as she continued pondering at how he was doing in his search. She hadn't gotten any leads on the organization so far which was frustrating. She wanted to track them down as soon as possible just as he did. After this minute of thinking Jodie finally continued on her way.

Conan crouched by the table and grinned knowingly as he looked at the nervous group beside him. Straightening up he glanced over at Kogoro who was sulking by a wall after his failed attempt at solving this case. Shifting his gaze over to the other side of the room where Ran and Sonoko were chatting nervously he grinned. Bingo! Sonoko would have to do as the detective. He groaned as he remembered how she went on and on and changed his mind looking over at the other police here. Picking a small, young detective he opened the target part of the watch and moved over there.

"I've got it!" groaning he turned to look at Kogoro who had a look of triumph on his face as he pointed an accusing finger at a startled man. Ignoring the mans babble he rolled his eyes and shot his watch.

"All wrong Detective Mouri," he spoke quickly into his bowtie and grinned as the crowd went silent all eyes on the detective slumped over in the chair and he felt the rush. The pure excitement of the hunt flowed through him pumping pure adrenaline through his veins. He launched into the elaborate detail of the case as a smirk appeared on his face as the onlookers gasped and the murderer sweated bullets.

Ic: "It's time for another day of school!" Mitsuhiko said as he walked along his daily route. It was a beautiful winter day,with soft sparkleing snow on the sidewalks, so Mitsuhiko took some time to look at his surroundings.
The seasons change really fast. Mitsuhiko thought as he caught a snowflake on his tongue Pretty soon we'll be on vacation and then the holiday season begins!! I love the holidays!! I wonder what kind of things I'll recive. I wonder what I should get for Conan, and Genta, and...for Ayumi and Ai... Mitsuhiko blushed as he thought about the two girls he had a crush on.
Shaking his head, Mitsuhiko made himself think back to his original thought(before he got off track) I can't wait for vacation! Then I'll be able to play with my friends all day without worrying about...
"YIKES!!!" Mitsuhiko yelped looking at his watch "I'm going to be late for school!"
So with that, he took off, only JUST making it before the bell rang.

It was midnight, Haibara was in the bedroom sleeping, Dr Agasa was in his lab, trying to invent another device for Conan/Shinichi.

After several days of inventing, he finally finished inventing it. He named it the " immobelizer ". It is a device which an able to freeze any moving object for 5 seconds. Now he is trying it on a mouse. As he pressed the button, he hoped that it would work.

1 second...

5 seconds...

10 seconds...

Nothing happened

He press the button again. This time... "Zip" ( sound effect )

Instead of freezing the mouse, the device shot a beam at Dr Agasa and he froze. After 5 Seconds, Dr Agasa unfroze. Then, the device exploded into pieces. "Boom, Beem, ping, peng, pang,tik, tik, tik". His face was covered in soot. He went to the bathroom to clean himself up.

"At least it worked" Dr Agasa comforted himself. " It think I'll get a cup of coffee before continueing on"

Dr Agasa proceed to the kitchen. After fixing himself a cup of coffee, he heard a ruffling sound.

"Who's there?" he asked

Out from the dark, Ai appeared

"Oh Ai-chan, you almoslt gave me a fright!"

It was another slow Sunday morning, Mouri Kogoro was at this desk watching television while watching his favorite pop star, Yoko Okino perform. Then the door to his office opened, it was Ran and Conan coming from the store. Mouri quickly got up from his seat and ran to the grocery bags trying to search for the potato chips he had ordered Ran to get him. “ Dad I am going to cook dinner so don’t eat too much” said Ran as she grabbed the rest of the bags and headed for the kitchen. Mori said “yeah whatever” as he always said to her when he wasn’t paying attention. He quickly sat back to notice that Conan was on his chair. Mouri got mad and hit Conan as usual. Conan quickly got off and ran to see what Ran was doing since Mouri was in a trance in front of the television.

Yusaku Kudo sat on his desk while writing another of his most famous novels. He thought of what he would write next. With nothing in his mind he thought of going out then he might think of another scenario. As he stepped out the door he picked up a newspaper and decided to read it on the 1:00 buss. When he arrived at the buss station just down the block he looked at his silver watch that read 12:55. “Almost time for the buss,” he said to himself as he opened the newspaper and sat down on the seat next to him. “I guess Jimmy done it again.” He said looking at the headlines. “He solved another impossible case.” He said reading the paper. Well the buss is here he said to himself as he got on. He paid for the fee and went to find a seat. Once on he looked out the window trying to grasp an idea. When he was finally at his destination he walked around town. He decided to buy things for his wife since their anniversary was in a couple of weeks. “Why not get the gift now instead of waiting. He went in and bought a card and a beautiful necklace with a golden heart. “She is going to like this.” He said continuing to find his inspiration. Once he found it he hurried home to write another exciting mystery story.
