It was...very quiet, at least, to the ears of a Twoleg. A white she-cat would move silently though the tall grass, ears and eyes alert to any sound. She was on the hunt. A rustling in the grass was caught by the keen eyes of this albino, and she stopped, and pressed herself closer to the ground. A mouse, she could smell it. Slowly, she would creep forward, her whiskers twitching as the smell got stronger. Hunting always made her excited. She pounced without hesitation, killing the mouse with a swipe of her paws. "Good job." She purred to herself, picking up the mouse and heading back to her den. It was a small den, a fox's den not used in many moons. Sniffing at the den, she could smell an unfamiliar scent there, but could not place it. Not able to identify the smell, she would shake her head and climb down into her burrow. It was long enough to stretch out in, and tall enough to stand in. Lay down, she began to eat, pleased with herself.

A white, lean figure prowled through the underbrush. Burningwind's jaws parted drinking in the warm scent of rabbit. He slinked forward, Burningwind used the up most carefulness not to disturbed the prey. His paws made no sound as they gently pressed against the cold earth. His head peered from the brush, Burningwind's azure eyes narrowed as they laid to rest on a pulp rabbit idly eating, it was oblivious to Burningwind, or anything around it for that matter. It was an easy kill for Burningwind. Without warning, Burningwind pelted from where he found refuge, his scarlet tipped ears were pinned to his skull and his tail flailed wildly behind him. The rabbit saw him coming, but it was all to late, it's life had come to an end as Burningwind lashed out breaking it's neck. There was a few second pause before Burningwind griped the prey in his jaws. Pleased with his catch, Burningwind buried it within the groud and traveled deeper into the abyss of the forest in search of more prey.

The hills, the only place the tom felt truly connected with nature. Odd? Perhaps, considering the fact most of the territory had a connection with nature one way or another. Yet the lush green grass beneath his paws, and the gentle wind blowing through his fur. How could one not feel so deeply connected here on these hills? They couldn't, that was the answer Eaglestar would quickly spit out at any cat who dared to argue against him about his personal thoughts on the subject.
Of course the tom had a reason for being here, besides to be one with nature. Hunting, rabbit hunting to be exact. Yes the gray young leader of SapphireClan was hunting rabbits, and enjoying it too. Rich amber eyes surveyed the land before him, ears perked and ready for even the slightest sound of a rabbit. For what seemed forever to the impatient cat, the tom stood there; frozen. White paws stood firmly upon the ground, never daring to move in fear of making a sound that would in turn scare away a rabbit.
Finally the conclusion came that a rabbit was not near, and that Eaglestar could in fact move on. With a swish of his tail, the gray figure moved forth. Amber jewels glancing around with each step. Yet just as the thick scent of rabbit reached him, so did another. A scent of no clan, a scent that could only belong to that of a loner. Curiosity sparked within his eyes, and ignorance to the rabbit nearby was formed. A loner, how rare was that? It seemed ages ago a loner dared enter the territory, and so more importance should be made for finding the loner then hunting one of many rabbits.
Without a doubt, the tom turned sharply towards the direction of the scent. A lash of his tail came shortly after, and then he was off. Paws pounded the ground senselessly, and detremination caught fire within his eyes and face. Soon he would figure out the truth. Soon...

A senct would reach the white she-cat nose as she stepped out of her den. A senct of a clan.....Fear periced into her heart. Was it Beyondclan, coming to find her and take her back to that hell? Her fear would cloud her thoguht, and she would panic, looking each way to try and see if a long haired fire tom was apporching. She saw nothing but the semi long grass, and would slowly calm herself down. Ths senct was not of the Beyondclan, but of another clan...she couldn't but a name on it for the moment. Padding towards the senct, she would courch, seeing a cat, a tom, running by. Her senct, her odd faint senct, would be easy to pick out among the sweet smells of the blooming flowers. She prayed to her ancestors that the tom did not smell her.

Burningwind's head peered from the bushes, A thrust sat in the clearing. Prowling forward, he stalked the thrust, Burningwind was dead set on not letting this one go it was pulp and would make a good meal for him. He was but a fox length away. As he charged at it, Burningwind stopped in his tracks the scent of cat, no, two cats trailed up his nose. The thrust took to the skies. "Mouse dung!" He spat. Looking around, His eyes narrowed to slits as they scanned the area until he spotted a she-cat. A mischievous smile scaled across his face as he prowled behind her. Sitting on the hard, cold earth his paused for a brief second before speaking. "It's rude to spy on others is it not?" Looking where the tall grass was he spotted a cat with a different scent. 'Tribe cat?' he thought pondering before letting out a brisk yawn.

Closer, closer, and it was gone. Startled by the sudden change in scent, paws skidded across the grass. Blades slipped out of the ground and clug to his light paws. The green color splattered against it, and the once white paws now beared the color green. Shaking his head, body turned sharply around. The direction had changed, well actually he just needed to take a turn. A sheepish grin fell upon his face, and yet just as quickly as it came it was gone once again.
Turning around, speed was taken up once more as he headed towards the scent. Yet as the scent grew stronger, another one seemed to pop out of the blue. For a brief moment he just stood there, eyes filling with a faint surprise. Yet shortly after it was gone. So there were two loners around here? How interesting, it was so rare to even find one roaming around aimlessly, but two? Wow, this was truly a day to remember. And it had started off with just a plan to hunt.
Shaking his head to shake some loose dust, Eaglestar padded on. Tail gently swished to and fro, and amber eyes stared forth looking for any sign of life. Claws dug into the ground, and as they came out; he rushed forward once more. The scents were stronger, and stronger still. Finally a mear seconds after his stop, it was clear to even a kit that two cats were nearby. Coming to hault, the gray colored tom turned around to face the direction in which the scent was strongest.
Tail lashed briefly, as a faint curiosity came upon his face. 'Who's there?' Voice was deep, and though it was gentle, it couldn't be clearer he demanded an answer to the question. And if he didn't get it, well he might just have to chase a couple loners out. Not that he wanted to, but still. Loyalty came to the clan first, and then

Redeyes would grin as Burningwind walked over to her. She had meet him, the night before, and they had chosen to stick together for the time being. Sitting up, the two white cats would be a sight for anyone to see. "Ha ha." She would say, a grin breaking out on her face. She had grown to trust him rather quickly, something out of character. Perhaps he was just one of those cats other cats tristed easyily. She would suddenly sniff the air, the other cat's senct growing stronger and stronger as the unknown cat apporched. Her ears would pirck up, trying to hear the sound of the cat apporching. She would hear someone questioning who was there, and flashed a smile at the white tom. "No one here. Just a couple of rouges." She called back, getting up and heading for the cat's senct. She would come over a hill, staring down at the cat who had asked the question. "Hello there."

"Hey." Burningwind flicked his tail in greeting at the tom. "And who might you be?" He asked in a sarcastic, almost mocking tone of voice. his ear batted slightly as the new-leaf breeze ruffled his pelt. Burningwind's eyes glanced up at the azure sky momentarily then back down at the tom. He patiently awaited his answer. Chances were that this cat live in a tribe, or as some call it, a clan. When Burningwind first entered the territory he did smell the scent marks, but like most things, he paid it no mind.

Claws unsheated themselves, and dug lightly into the ground to get a good feel of it. As he stood waiting for the loners to reveal themselves, mind raced through the list of possible things that would happen within the next few moments. Talk or fight. Those were the two optiona that would be born. Of course the latter of the two was most likely to occur. Well maybe not, but it was always best to prepare for the worse but expect the best. An odd saying to say the least, but it was in fact quite true.
As the first cat appeared, amber gemstone eys narrowed faintly. Focus was solely on studying the cat before him, testing his mind to see how much he could learn about this new cat without speaking a single word. As the she-cat spoke, no words dared escape him. Finally a faint nod was form, a semi-greeting one could call it. 'Greetings, now would you care to tell me who you are?'
No sooner had the words slipped off his tongue, that the other loner's question was shot at him. Head turned to look at the new loner, and a glare formed on his face. 'I can ask the same thing to you.' He replied, tail lashing as he spoke. The sarcasm and mocking caused Eaglestar to feel, well rather threatened. After all how could a loner challenge him like that, when it wasn't even his territory?
A true question for the ages, but for now that question didn't spill out of him. Oh no, he would wait. Wait for the perfect moment...

"......My name is Redeyes. Nice to meet you.....?"She meowed, and would pad down to meet the tom cat, face to face. Sitting down a few paces in front of the tom, she would tilt her head, and stare at him. "So, what clan, or tribe, or you from?" She asked, licking her paw lazyily, as she stared at him. He was a rather handsome tom, his fur a mixture of black, brown and grey, with a few red strands. She wiped her face clean of emotion, something that she was good at, something she had learned from her past. She would murr something to herself, and tilt her head, the albino cat looking out of place with the odd colored tom sitting in front of her.

Doveheart's eyes narrowed to focus on the sole subject; a rabbit warily looking around, nibbling slowly as its pink nose twitched. The rabbit would hear Doveheart before feeling him, hence his dislike for hunting them. Several minutes had past. Time was wasting. Feeling desperate to bring in a haul, he lunged with the rabbit still keeping its suspisions. His stock legs moved in rythem as he tried to keep up with the rabbit before BAM. It was only a seconds view, but enough to tell him. Several small rabbits were squirming in a burrow not so far from where he had been, and the rabbit he was chasing was obviously the mother. A mother always led danger away from the burrow. Sighing, he veered off as the rabbit dissapeared from sight. Disgruntled but determined, he scented the air for more prey. The unfamiliar scents came as a shock and than... his leader's? Instantly his hackles rose as his stelthy crouch brought him near the trio, upwind. Growling, claws unsheathed, he glared at the pair and his leader. Defeat or be defeated.

Letting out an exasperated sigh, Burningwind padded up to the other tom. "And I am Wind Burning The Moonless Night. Or Burningwind for short." He mewed bow his head in a formal way. Parting his jaws, Burningwind drunk in the faint scent of another cat. A weak scent but it was there alright. Did this cat have reinforcements? Were they planning an ambush? Well whatever it was, he wasn't falling for it. "You planning to ambush us or something?" He spat demanding an answer. The fur on Burningwind's back bristled, his eyes narrowed to slits as they scanned the area. But nothing, had he made a false assumption? This out burst may just cost them they're lives.

Amber eyes drew away from the tom, and turned to she-cat before him. Redeyes? So a loner had a clan name? That was a bit, no very odd. Still the multi-colored tom just gave a faint nod, acknowledging the fact he now knew her name. At the semi-question, a brief smile came across his face, before vanishing. Now they were getting closer to the topic of the loners being in SapphireClan territory. And as the first full question about clan/tribe came the topic was so close, one could taste it.
‘Eaglestar, leader of SapphireClan.’ Voice held little emotion, just the calmness he had become an expert on over the years. Yet as amber gaze turned to learn who the loner tom was, and as he did a faint scent crept upon him. It was familiar, clearly that off his clan, but who it was he did not now at the moment. What a bad, bad leader he was. Yet as he continued to ponder it over, it hit him. Not like a rock, more like a small little moss ball would, it was Doveheart. Or so he thought anyway.
Gaze shifted to look at that direction, white paws stepping away from the two loners in pursuit of it. Stopping a couple feet, eyes narrowed lightly in order to be able to see a bit better. ‘Doveheart?’ The faint question was carried by his voice as far as he could master, without actually yelling. After all yelling might lead the loners to attack, and though was prepared, back-up would lead to bigger success.
At the sound of another talking, the tom’s head whipped around to fact the other loner; Burningwind. A light nod came once again, the same reason it had been born at Redeyes’ words. Before he could say a word, the challenging question came forth. A faint hiss escaped the leader, barely audible to most cats expects himself. It just seemed this Burningwind would be a cat to drive Eaglestar into a fierce temper.
‘That wasn’t the plan.’ He replied, tail lashing as he spoke. ‘In fact the only plans made in these hills were hunting, not running into any loners.’ He added, gaze shifting to look at both the loners in turn. At the same time still waiting for Doveheart’s response.

"I'm here Eaglestar..." said Doveheart, dipping his head respectfully but keeping his eyes on the loners. He trusted his clan. He trusted his leader. But he didn't trust loners. He made his fur lie flat, but his stance clearly gave away his hostility. "But it looks like quite a party. What are Rogues doing in our clan?" he said, keeping his tone even but the words having an edge.

Burningwind snorted. He had to admit, what were the chances that they would know they were here? Ether way, Burningwind was about to let them know that he was wrong, it was just in his cocky and arrogant nature. "Well, whatever." He mewed in an emotionless haze, but at the same time, hidden in his azure almond eyes, was a icy cold look That could send shivers down one's spine. "And who might this be?" He asked as his gaze rested on Doveheart.
