Events

This week, many weird and wonderful things have been going down in the realm of Octane; literally, if you consider the plight of Oryst the Priest. Felix seems to have found himself in a fight with the ever-cocky Battery, while Oryst lays, still unconscious, in his pitiful excuse for a church.

Meanwhile, in other places, the mysterious Absinthe briefly showed her pallid face, having a run-in with the contract killer Steven. What has become of the white-skinned maiden remains unknown, but one thing is for certain; Steve had better watch his back, for he seems to be getting in bigger trouble than he can imagine.

Paul, of the King's Army, appears to have had a refreshing day's training with his troops - one can only wonder what will begin to happen when the Sultan pushes his own soldiers into the fray.

NB: This is what I wrote over at EfR, I've just copied and pasted it. I added on points seven and eight, and edited a bit of it to fit.

First off, let's get down with some basic for-your-information, yeys? Yeys.

Casefile; Captain Cupid Skittle. Emily Rose M*****
Subject No.: #2
D.O.B: 29/09/1991 (For Americans, it's 09/29/1991).

Main Information:
Commonly known as: Skittle, Emi, God, Cupid.
Age: Fourteen years of age, almost fifteen.
Retina Scan: Glasses, very dark brown.
Natural Hair Colour: Light brown.
Gender: Female.
Build: More to love.
Mental Health: Sociopath.
Siblings: Oldest to youngest; Elouise, Samuel, Joseph, Sophie, Jamie. All younger.

Additional Information:
Likes: Herself. Intelligent pursuits. Feeling above everyone else. Being above everyone else. Pastafarianism. Friends. Stefan. Grace.
Dislikes: People that discriminate. :-/ Insomnia (why d'you think I'm writing this at 3am?).

Okay. That over and done with, lets move away to my obsessions;

1. The following films; A Clockwork Orange.
The Shawshank Redemption.
The Crow.

A Clockwork Orange - I have always viewed this film as a masterpiece in sociological satire. It never ceases to amaze me just how much symbolism you can find in this film, nor just how strong the storyline is. I also like that the film makes you think about the way society is changing.

The Shawshank Redemption - A masterful piece of film work. Coincidentally, the book was written by my favourite author, which always helps. This was my favourite film before I came across ACO, and still holds a very dear place in my heart. The emotion expressed in the film never fails to irk some sort of sympathy/empathy in even me, the tough old boot. ;D

The Crow - Ah. I'm not going to bother explaining what I like about this film; you'd be here for hours.

2. The following authors/books;
Stephen King.
Roald Dahl.

I don't have many favourite authors, because it takes someone special to impress the bookworm in me. Recently, I won an award for a scathing review I wrote of 'The White Darkness', and was the only negative review to do so. I maintain that it was won simply because they were terrified that one of the students out there wasn't trying to suck up to the author. :giggle:

Stephen King is my all-time favourite author. Particularly, his book 'Insomnia', and the collection of short stories known as 'Skeleton Crew'. Recently I read 'Salem's Lot, and loved that, too. There's not enough time in the world to explain what I like, so I will keep it simple; original story lines, excellent quality of writing, and just the right concentration of fear.

Roald Dahl is just... Well, amazing. His children's stories are fantastic, but his adult stories take the biscuit, they really do. The surreal and yet very-real atmosphere of his adult stories make them delightfully creepy.

3. Music!

Well, I'm very varied when it comes to music. From Manson to Beethoven; from Spice Girls to Mudvayne; from Evanescence to P!nk - I love it all. My recent obsession is for Panic! At the disco, because their music makes me want to ballroom dance. Really fast. I'm also very fond of Red Hot Chili Peppers, P!nk and, as always, Muse. I love Maroon 5 almost as much as I love Marilyn Manson, and, more recently, some emo bands have taken my fancy, although I still find the majority irksomely whiny. I'm not fond of whiny voices. :-/ Grunge is good, though, and I'm a firm fan of Nirvana and Seether. Nickelback, Kelly Clarkson (occasionally; sometimes she just annoys me), Taking Back Sunday, Scarling, Deathstars, They Might Be Giants, The Bloodhound Gang (!!), Weird Al, Motion City Soundtrack, Rescue the Astronaughts, Trivium, MCR (sometimes), Eighteen Visions, Bullet For My Valentine, Disturbed and AFI are just some of the other bands I like.

I play various instruments; the guitar, occasionally the bass, if I feel like it, the keyboard/piano, the trumpet/sousaphone (!!), and my own vocal chords.

4. Writing.

Writing is a huge passion of mine; always has been, and probably always will be. I write as often as possible, hence having so many characters everywhere. If you would like to see an example of my story writing, please message me; I'll be only too pleased to oblige.

I have been roleplaying for about six years; probably nearing seven now that I'm approaching my fifteenth birthday.

5. Art.

Ahhh. I'm not very good, admittedly, and I get frustrated veeerrryyy easily, which often results in me giving up, but I do like to draw. At the moment I'm obsessed with La Fee Verte (the green fairy; absinthe), and often incorporate her in my drawings. Recently, I've tried my hand at pixel art. It's a bitch and I'm not very good, but I'm always ecstatic at the end of a pix. picture. It's so satisfying. Even more recently, I've been painting marionettes; they've become my new obsession. And, yes, you heard right; painting.

I'm also an amateur fashion designer and photographer; laugh if you must.

6. Drama.

I'm a keen actress, and self-confessed 'Drama Queen', and thusforth need all the egoswell I can get. ;D

7. Law.

...well, this is a very recent obsession. Very recent. I'm just not going to go into it... It's safer for me that way... >_>

8. Grace & Stefan.

Haha, 'nuff said.

If you got this far, I commend you.

If you see me around the boards, feel free to give me a shout. I'm always willing to help, well, pretty much anyone, so go for it.

Love you all,
Skittle

Many things to say!

I didn't know your middle name was Rose. Or, at least, you mentioned it, I probably said the same thing, and then I forgot. But either way, it's still awesome.

I'm shocked that I'm listed anywhere in this, but I have to at least mention it, even if I don't know what to say.

Shawshank Redemption is SOO GOOOD. I think it might be my favorite movie. 12 Angry Men's really effing good too, and so is Dial M for Murder, and Rope.

My name's Emily-Rose, so I guess it isn't really a middle name, but nevermind. xD

How could I not list you?

And yeah, Shawshank is amazing. I've not seen the other three films you mentioned; I'll make sure I get hold of them in the future. (:
