Larger Image with BIO (she is not a nice girl)

I still haven't decided what colour to make the outfit - suggestions are welcome !

Volgon - April 30, 2011 09:45 PM (GMT)
As a heretic, I would say lots of earthy reds and browns. maybe some green for contrast. but what do I know? as a follower of Khorne, everything needs more red!
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!
anyway, good luck! cant wait to see it! your projects are always so cool!
:chaos:

toydivision - April 30, 2011 09:49 PM (GMT)
thanks! Red is my favourite colour :D

Djinn - April 30, 2011 10:02 PM (GMT)
I agree with Vol, Earthly red and browns would fit that womans bio very well. I mean the bigger picture even has the bottom of her MAXIMUM RUFFLES dress all covered in bloodstains and god knows what else.

This should be sufficiently terrifying to behold.

toydivision - April 30, 2011 10:21 PM (GMT)
..I think I'm happier not knowing what those stains are...

KageRyu - April 30, 2011 10:39 PM (GMT)
Red for sure but since she was born to a wealthy family i would add a few hints of gold and say either black or dark purple something that can still be a heretic colour and yet show off a once wealthy lifestyle, good luck on it toy^^

Sexy Toy is Sexy
:slaanesh:

toydivision - May 1, 2011 03:01 AM (GMT)
..it's the head tubes isn't it?

Finnlock - May 1, 2011 04:22 AM (GMT)
Given her background I would eccho the people who said she needs lots of rich fabrics and colors.

Purples, reds, golds and silvers, tattered lace, ect.. and black, nice hard, shinny black like her soul.

No I just have a thing for kneehigh boots...and the train/caboose on teh dress is hot.

MalleusIST - May 1, 2011 01:14 PM (GMT)
::fistbumps SCHRAMB0.::agreed on the boots. But yeah Toy, I agree with everyone else on this outfit.

Lamia - May 2, 2011 01:35 PM (GMT)
Good lord! Rock that outfit, Toy!

And yes, reds and golds.

wookieegunner - May 2, 2011 06:31 PM (GMT)
I would actually say deep maroon, especially a purplish maroon, if you can find it. Her BIOS screams Slaanesh with a touch of Khorne to me, though that is mostly due to the bathing in blood part which could also be a Slanesh thing. And am I the only one how noticed the spiked leather bikini bottom she is sporting?

toydivision - May 2, 2011 10:53 PM (GMT)
part of me wants to be really perverse and use this colour way : :D
http://www.thedailytruffle.com/wp-content/...y_poppins_4.jpg

I would be all up ons reds and purples, but on reflection fabric looks quite pale in the illustration hmmm

SCHRAMB0 - May 3, 2011 12:23 AM (GMT)
S&M Mary Poppins...OH GAWD MY CHILDHOOD IS SEXY!!!

Volgon - May 3, 2011 03:33 AM (GMT)
Toy, if you thought the wraithboner jokes were bad, this will be worse.

All perversion aside..... im sorry, i cant even TYPE that with a straight face. toy, you is gonna be one SMEXY heretic no matter what colors you choose

toydivision - May 3, 2011 09:45 AM (GMT)
studs! they are studs

Djinn - May 3, 2011 09:58 AM (GMT)
All the more pleasing to Slaanesh.
.. or Khorne..

or.. wait.. don't they hate each-other?

Fuck it, build it and paint it maroon.

Fabric for the bodice and the bow at the back- it's hard to tell in this photo but it's a beautiful olive brocade with a nice shine. I think it will work well with tranished gold/pewter trimmings.

I'm guessing Myrchella has one of those wonderful propeller sized butt-bows seen here:

Really schrambo? I would have thought you would pull out your classic BIGGER for that one

SCHRAMB0 - May 9, 2011 04:38 PM (GMT)
No she has the right idea for bow size...and its shmexy as hell.

seraphic machine - May 10, 2011 02:54 PM (GMT)

Sexy bow is sexy.

toydivision - May 29, 2011 08:59 AM (GMT)
well thank you :D

seraphic machine - May 29, 2011 10:20 AM (GMT)
I second that. Bow chica bow wow!

Finnlock - May 29, 2011 02:49 PM (GMT)
Looks cool and I Love the fabric choice.

Do you think the ends are long enough?

From the 1st pictre of her you posted ( only one avaialble?) It seems the back of her dress is very puffy and really fans/sticks out from her butt. If that s the case, do you think the ends are long enough on the bow for them to hang down as far as shown on the mini? Or are you going to bring in the skirt design to more moderate proportion?

Lastly, Is the dress going to be the same fabric as the bow?

Keep up the great work :)

toydivision - May 30, 2011 03:25 AM (GMT)
hmmm I might look at it how it looks once it's on the skirt - the tails do seem a bit short :/

aidan - May 30, 2011 05:11 AM (GMT)
can't wait to see this complete,I love the fabric. And let's face it, Toy could make sack cloth and ashes look HOT!!

toydivision - May 30, 2011 05:43 AM (GMT)
thanks :D

I guess that's one way to decribe all the fanboys on the forum :P :slaanesh:

J/K

How many yards of lace is that going to take do you think?
(is always amazed when people sew awesome things)

toydivision - June 2, 2011 12:07 AM (GMT)
There's 12 m on the card there (I can't use imperial measurements on this!...I'm a Heretic now)

I brought one of these beasties too:

So I can do all those ruffles without needing to gather them all by hand!

Lamia - June 2, 2011 12:48 PM (GMT)
RUFFLEBOOTY!

(I am so envious of your ruffler, I can't get mine to work, grrr)

toydivision - June 4, 2011 05:42 AM (GMT)
@ Lamia - they are sooo finicky, I had to sit down with instructions for half an hour until I figured it out! - If they lose a screw it's all over :(

user posted image

I've done the basic glove (without spikes yet...) and I plan to stitch a few beads to embellish the edge near the hand.

The fabric is a dull gold/green/brown lycra with a snake skin ..overgloss? (I don't know the word when it's a fabric ;) ) and it's hard to see here but there is a bright gold facing.

Finnlock - June 4, 2011 02:11 PM (GMT)
Wow, that looks amazing, those rings are really cool. The color you describe doesn't come across but you can see it once you describe it.

This should be a very cool costume. I was looking 1st the image and thinking, "man, this is an obscure character that is not easily recognized as being 40k", but then I was like," Hell, it's ganna be so cool, it doesn't matter!"

Keep it up Toy.

toydivision - June 4, 2011 10:08 PM (GMT)
I'm really enjoying working on this- it's very showgirl! (ask me this in a few months!)

The rings were 4 for $20 :D I love those cheap and trendy accessory stores- I wait until they have a sale - then buy them up for trims/details!
