You can call me The Ref, or Ref for short. I'm the primary administrator here. No need to fear me for that, though. I intend to participate on this board in a primarily admin capacity. Something need to get fixed or there's some modification that needs doing, I'll take care of it. I'll leave most of the ranting and debating to everyone else.

I do have an NS nation, which I may use to post here from time to time, I haven't decided yet. If any are aware of which nation that is, please keep it to yourself. For the purposes of this board, The Ref is administrator and nothing else. I hold no bias towards any particular faction or belief system. It would run contrary to the goal of this board were it to be otherwise. As such, I prefer the anonymity and would appreciate it staying that way.

The only thing that really irritates me is mindless anything. Mindless faith, belief, hatred, optimism, pessimism, devotion, obedience, or whatever else. If there is no logical backup for a thing, whatever it may be, I see little reason to adhere to it. Feel or believe what you wish, but have a reason for it.

I'll be your secondary admin. I'll also be the more vocal of us. I too have a nation who's existence is irrelevant to this site, so don't bring it up. I'm an arrogant, belligerent prick. I love to argue. If at any time it looks like a debate might be about to die prior to any real conclusion, I'll flip a coin. On heads, I'll come up with something really contradictory just for the sake of continuing the debate. On tails, I'll probably flip the coin again.

I can, and will, find almost anything annoying. Just depends on how much sleep and food I've had recently. I try not to randomly troll, but every now and then the temptation is rather too large to resist. If you think I'm out of line, scream at me. Call me names. Piss on my puppy. Nothing excites me more than watching people lose it - even if it's at me.

I'll mostly leave people's rants alone. Others can discuss them, but I prefer to let them vent in peace. Personal preference - just sit back and enjoy the show.

For irritation, apologetic tirades. I don't mean a tirade meant to apologize about something. I mean a tirade that is overflowing with statements like: I'm sorry, but.... or I don't mean to be rude.....or in any way attempt to apologize for what they are. If you're gonna vent, just vent. Let it out. Apologies can come later, if necessary, in private. Don't apologize for being upset about something. If something upsets you, it upsets you. Apologizing for feeling that way is simply belittling yourself. It says that whatever upset you has more right to exist than your reaction to it. If you honestly think so little of yourself, maybe you're right. Then you really have no right to be upset by people walking all over you and your beliefs.

In other words, "You ain't fucking Dennis Miller, so quit pretending"?

I'm a mod here in case anyone missed that. I won't get all mod-like on your ass unless I feel that you deserve it. Honestly, you'll have to try pretty hard to piss me off. I have a strange, twisted sense of humour. I play better with the boys than I do the girls(Enough out of you Kiv!). That shouldn't be an issue though considering that there is only one other female here that I know of.

So, yeah. I don't really have much else to say at the moment.

What does a smiley mean? To me they qualify a statement some how. There are some people who will be genuinely pissed off, and lose all reason, if you say the wrong thing to them on an online forum. Sometimes sticking a smiley on the end of a statement that might otherwise drive them to madness soothes their fragile little egos some how.


To them I say, WTF is wrong with you! :)

To be fair to Eco, I'm not the biggest fan of them. At least, not outside of private messages.

I prefer to express myself clearly. Emoticons sometimes indicate that the author thinks so little of their audiance that they believe the audiance needs roadsigns. Also, they're frequently used to try and pass off honest flaming as "just kidding around".

"Fuck off and die you piece of shit; I hope you get hit by a truck! :P "

Somehow, that still strikes me as being a dick.
