The Cursed Necklaces: Subplot Signup

Before proceeding to apply for a position, please ensure that you have read the description of the subplot in its entirety. As with other applications, the administration reserves the right to deny acceptance. In order to receive a role, in the past you must have demonstrated your ability as a role-player, as well as having participated frequently on the boards. In order to ensure that as many people may partake as possible, if you have two or more players, you may only have one involved. We, the sneaky Admins have ways of ensuring that this is the case. Please take the time to ensure that your reasoning is well thought out, and developed. Your logic must be reasonable. For instance; a strong willed male or female, who are not easily manipulated; would be unlikely targets for the jewelry.

Roles:

Puppet Masters:

These young men and women are the agents of Voldermort spread throughout the school. Their primary objective is to distribute the cursed necklaces and rings among the school population. These students have a connection to the dart arts via their families or friends. It would be extremely doubtful that anyone involved would be in Gryffindor or Hufflepuff.

Marionettes:

These students bear cursed rings or necklaces, who wore it on their own free will. They have a connection with the giver of the necklace; who they receive their orders from. They are forced to gather other followers or deter opponents by means of deceit, bribery, seduction, etc.

Victims:

These students, although not in possession of a ring; are affected by the plan or otherwise harassed by the Marionettes.

The Resistance:

Although not fully aware of Voldermort’s plan; these intuitive students sense that not all is right in the castle. Their actions to further their knowledge are viewed as meddlesome by the Puppet Masters, who will try to deter them from learning more.
