Everyone thinks their vets are great (well nearly), so I thought that the ones we found to be outstanding for whatever reason should be recognised.

We ask for a recomendation for a mechanic and they are only fixing a car, makes sense we talk vets too...

In Belfast I can highly recommend

Gortlands Veterinary Clinic
162 Gilnahirk Rd
Belfast
Co Antrim
BT5 7QQ
028 90796005

They will always try to fit you in for an urgent appointment and will go the extra mile to make sure your pet has a full recovery. :D

I'll back you up on that, by far the best vets I have ever gone to! They don't over charge like other vets not so far away and theres a vet who is brilliant with smaller animals!

When Fudge came ill on a Sunday morning, they fitted me in as an emergency! And I have heard of vets who won't do that for anything other than a cat or dog! :o

Cedar Grove vets off the dual carriageway in Castlereagh did an amazing job with my whippet, when I got him as a pup he had parvo and was really bad with it, the second day I had him I took him there and they spent four days caring for him and actually managed to bring him through it (and all fell in love with him during the process lol) They rang me during it too to let me know how he was getting on and always had an update for me every of the hundreds of times I rang them! :D I was nervous about going to a vet other than our usual one in antrim but he needed to go right away so I had no choice and they turned out to be great!

Gortlands has been recommended to me a few times too though I've never been.

I have to recommend Drumahoe Veterinary Clinic;
4 Ardlough Road
Drumahoe
Londonderry
BT47 5SW
tel: 028 7131 1448
fax: 018 7134 6286

http://www.merialvetsite.com/sites/drumahoevets/home.html

They were the ones that took Wills on as a stray when her leg was broken (she would have been put down had she gone to the pound of course). She lived there for a month when I came to see her and adopted her. They were a wonderful help and support to us whilst she was going through her operations and aftercare. I can't speak highly enough of them. :yay:

Jubilee is my old vets but I've moved a bit far too use them anymore. They did a sterling job with Cody when she had parvo - ringing me daily with updates and even letting us come down to see her one evening when they knew how upset I was. Also did a fantastic job with Ben when he managed to stab himself on a jagged branch after hours and the vet met us at 11pm.

:pig: I would thorougly recommend my Vets - Clare Veterinary Group, Ballynure Road. 028 93 322223

They are open 6 days a week and have 24 hours emergency call out - which I have used on a number of occassions!

They have practices in Ballyclare, Newtownabbey and Cavehill.

Naomi, the vet I always go to see is very good (she has been wonderful with my :Chiny: chinchillas!) and the care and facilities are great!

Ballyclare vets have always been great with my lot too. I always ask for Andrew as all my animals seem to like him
