Hey b the gun is quite the find and efficent,I am running it on a 13 cubic inch hpa tank and am getting 240 shots ,I have the stainless internals and am using the lapco #6 power tube,I also put a phantom tube and end cap in the 10 rd tube holder (couldn't stand sticking tubes in there). The body and barrel are on their way to python pb to be fitted with one of their kits,It will be a taso to phantom thread kit ,I also have a taso lightened hammer I would like to toss in it ,any Ideas on re springing it for better air efficency ???No plans on using 12 grams the way the changer sits on the asa is a big bother with a mask.

HPA and efficiency do not equate to anything but sub par. HPA is only for temperature stability in Nelsons and Sheridans. HPA solely relies on pressure not a phase change to gain it's "power" it is at a severe disadvantage. You need longer dwell ( softer main spring) and a heavy hammer for HPA. if you want efficiency you need to go CO2 with a 3.5oz 350-400 shots easily, with extraordinary efforts you could get 500 to a 3.5.

250 shots sounds about average for a 13ci tank, actually.

Well...first things first, you can drop your velocity by about 10-15 fps. That alone will save you a significant amount of air. Your standard hammer lightening should also work, but some things like devolumizing will be pointless because there is no phase change in HPA.
Once you get the new barrel system set up you may also find yourself getting some improved efficiency numbers. Many older guns have very large bores and so there's quite a bit of blow-by and lost gas. |

Well...co2 will mean more shots, but I guess HPA will have to do through the winter.

Another thing you could do, is increase the out put pressure of the hpa tank. Most now a days are preset to 850psi. Most qualifies air-smiths can increase the pressure. High pressure low volume. This would increase shots per fill.
