[Hunter Dodgson]

Hunter was clearly angry from everything that had happened today. He felt there was no end to the madness. All he could do was hope that Scott would be able to help calm him down.

[Scott Sullivan]

Scott finally got out of the bathroom. He had definitely been in there for the long hall. He almost wondered if the food in the cafeteria had made him sick or something, cause boy did he ever have the squirts. However, that was finally over and he had walked out of the school, making his way down the hallway and out of the building where he saw Hunter walking down the street.

After registering that it actually was Hunter, Scott took off after him. "Hey, Hunter!"

Hunter stopped and turned around with a slight smile forming on his face, the anger that had been there disapearing, as Scott was running toward him. "Hey, Scott!" Hunter finished the distance and took Scott into a hug before pulling out to look at him in the eyes. "Boy, am I ever glad to see you. This day has been shit."

Scott had been shocked that Hunter had pulled him into a hug, but he tried to not show his shock that much. He was also surprised that Hunter hadn't completely pulled away from him either. "Wow, you really do look like you had a bad day. Did you get that roughed up at football practice? I would've been there, but I don't think the cafeteria food agreed with me today."

[Hunter Dodgson]

"Well, yeah, football practice wasn't that great. Hasn't been for awhile now... But that wasn't the only thing. Jake Lucas, the captain of the basketball team, he attacked me in weight lifting class because of the rumors about you and me. It wasn't a pretty sight. The dude's got some major issues, and there's something just not that right about him, but I can't tell what it is." Hunter pulled away from Scott and turned away from him. Just thinking back to what had happened was enough to make him feel upset again.

[Scott Sullivan]

Scott sighed. "This is insane, bro. Those guys need to desperately get a life. They have no right getting involved in our business or anyone else's. This maybe high school, but at some point, they're going to have to learn how to grow up. I'm sorry this is happening to you, Hunter."

[Hunter Dodgson]

"Me too... That's why I don't think I can do this," Hunter said, stopping right there, pulling Scott to a stop too. "This is too hectic for me, Scotty. I really like you, but I don't know what happened to me last night. I like girls. I'm not that way. Whatever reason I had that weak moment doesn't matter."

[Scott Sullivan]

The hurt was clearly present on Scott's eyes. "Wait, are you telling me that you don't even want to be friends with me? Hunter, why are you letting these people control your life? I know you're not that kind of person. You're good, kind, and considerate. We have a lot in common, and you're just gonna let those assholes tell you what to do?"

[Hunter Dodgson]

"I'll say that you are a wonderful person," Hunter said. "But you can do so much better then me, Scotty. You don't need my drama in your life. Look, I have to go. There's a party tonight that I'm going to have to get to, or I'm gonna end up dragged there. I'm sorry. You don't have to do my homework anymore. I'll deal with myself." With that said, Hunter started on his way in the other direction, going toward the city district, leaving Scott in the dust.

Abandonment settled into Scott's heart as the blonde watched the guy he loved walk away from him and out of his life. The surfer simply couldn't understand what was going on at all. In all respects, it seemed like it was out of the blue and that Hunter was simply worried. Perhaps he would turn around and come back, but that didn't turn out to be the case as Scott completely lost sight of him.

Tears formed in Scott's eyes as he turned and started walking toward his house. It was over now it seemed. There was to never be any hope of Scott Sullivan and Hunter Dodgson being together. After what happened last night, the blonde had been hopeful, but his hopes had apparently been too sudden. As he made his walk home, depression settled into Scott's heart, body, mind, and soul.
