Technical and Historical Notes
The red death kampfer isn’t a big deal when finally seen, the suit is a simple kampfer salvaged and fixed up with the new everyday ESU tech. It was hard for Jason to get his request approved since a kampfer wasn’t a standard issue mass production model. The request took several months to process but after careful thinking, it was approved for use.

First off, they had to find an old kampfer body that was still usable, they looked through storages as well as hangars that may have still held a kampfer in it, but with no luck, had to use parts found in debris fields and some junkyards. The next part was what worked the magic, they began replacing old out dated parts with newer ones resulting in a slight weight reduction. The weapon types were kept but instead of using the current ones, were replaced by freshly built weapons so any problems could be avoided as much as possible. The suits thrusters were over hauled and made to be able to make large jumps in the air and sustain them for at least 3 minutes before having to come back down. The Cockpit also has a phase shift lined cockpit, same as all ESU mobile suits, but activates in emergency situations instead of activating for an ejection system. The sensors were replaced with newer versions so now the suits maximum sensor range has been increased to 6000 meters. The suit retained the universal hand plugs but the feature for using Orb weapons was removed for reason unknown.

The suits main weapons are pretty unique, except the load out is slightly more extendable than the original Type 4 that took place in the third was six years ago. The suits weapons include a 99mm linear assault rifle, a 90mm machine gun and anti-armor shotgun for fighting multiple targets. It has a bazooka, but its nothing intimidating. The chain mine is a weapon that is rarely used by the pilot since he hasn't had much training with it.

The Griffon 3 beam blade is one of the suits newest additions, instead of two emitters running along the legs its one in each knee, the blade extends like a beam saber. The three barrel anti mobile suit gun is a simple weapon but is useful when dealing with swarms of enemy mobile suits. It fires a simple Incendiary round for anti-armor combat.

Other weapons include the standard issue beam sabers, that are able to be activated while still in the storage rack located in the forearm. Two beam pistols, a pair of CIWS mounted in the chest. For defense, Jason has two choices in shielding, a simple beam shield or a positron reflector which Jason has decided to use only in space since the earth provides plenty of cover.

Lets get something out of the way before I eat this thing, it's not a Kampfer, it's an abomination that goes backwards instead of forwards design wise. Now that that's out of the way, review time~

Firstly an anti armor shotgun is not for ships it's for MS, for something ship sized you'd need a weapon the size of the Buster's if not bigger. It'd be classified as an anti ship shotgun then.

Then we also have the fact of flight, it's removed half of the leg thrusters from the original Kampfer, torso thrusters are useless in atmosphere on this model, chest thrusters are removed and backpack thrusters are gutted. Therefore without a pack this thing can't fly. Unless of course the backpack unit on it's back is a complete flight pack. Not to mention it's maneuverability is crap...

We also have an issue with the weight compared to the old Kampfer, this unit is considerably bulked out, it has skirt armor, additional leg armor along with the feet, not to mention the backpack unit and you're telling me it's 3 tons lighter?

The eject system is also questionable, since to my knowledge the only one the ESU uses relies the PS to activate separating the cockpit from the suit and popping out the rear, the unit's thruster assembly would prevent this from happening efficiently.

Your three barreled weapon is also an issue. Incendiary rounds are meant to burn inside, not burn through the armor, the radar weapon is also rather bleak since NJC are still around and if radar was still in use you'd affect your own radar as well.

Minor issues being where are the beam pistols held when not in use, and the beam shield.

Not trying to add insult to injury, but after ZAFT was dissolved and ESU was formed, Kampfers were removed from service entirely (mostly because Angelis didn't like them)

Secondly. the Mk4s were never mass produced to a scale where you could find one anywhere near intact 6 years later. So yeah.

Mike you can't cut me off here, there are several technicalities that need to be worked out before it can be approved. Most of it minor mislabeling but others like the flight and eject need to be stapled out before it continues.

To straighten something out the eject cockpit only uses the PS to protect the pilot for around ten or so seconds from shrapnel or debris from a freshly exploded suit.

As for the Kampher I didn't put it into full line service mostly because I wanted to leave some good units for the Rebels to steal. Plus as you said I wasn't to big of a fan.

And now for the nitpicking

Your CIWS lack a round size and you label them as vulcans as well. Vulcans and CIWS are differant in that CIWS have a specifc purpose of shooting down missiles while vulcans are pretty much anti armor.

Your suit lacks a N Jamer Canceler

Your anti radar round is strange. How could something obiously housed in a bullet be large enough to jam radar?

Also why is it used by both Rebels and the ESU?
