Citizens and Soldiers of the Empire,

My name is Christian Frensner , Trooper at the gendarmerie of Paris. The Emperor himself has appointed me to bring you news from every corner of the Empire. My job is to make sure that every citizen is notfied by the events taken place outside our borders and the measures taken in Paris to keep Peace and prosperity.

Unfortunally there is some good and bad news!

The good news is: General Sloop of L'armee du nouveau monde has been promoted to the honourable Title of Maréchal de L 'Empire, Prince de la haute Marne, commander of the IInd Corps de l'armée du nouveau monde. A defile accompanied by the Imperial Guard has been performed in his honour.

The Emperor was empressed by the dicipline of the soldiers of the IInd Corps and their Velités.

Wine, women and the best champagne has been served....(cough) in the Prince Honour.

However, that same night rumours arrived at the Imperial Head Quarters, that somewhere in our Northern terretories, royalist are planning a coup in order to regain the Throne of France. By whom they are supported is unknown.

The Emperor has taken measures which will be announced soon. As far I am informed about these events, the leave of the Grande Armée is over, every officer should prepare himself to receive dispatches within the next few weeks.

As for now, I have been riding the whole day to bring you this news, can I have a drink.....and a fresh horse...

*Amidst his fervent protests, the messenger is unceremoniously lifted from his feet and dragged away, a stream of personal items falling out his pockets behind him. I consider telling the guards to avoid hitting his head on the door on the way out, but as the dull *THUMP* echoes across the room I realize it was too late*

A royalist uprising in France? Possible ties with Austria? Oh capital! Sounds like dashing good fun I dare say.

With the achievement of total victory and the vanquishing of all adversaries of notable mention, I would welcome the opportunity to engage an enemy regardless of questionable quality. No need to dirty the gloves of the high command, simply unleash our Velite dogs who would be anxious for an extra meal.
