Fellow brothers in arm,
I have recieved a package yesterday, mailed by Marshal Sloop, containing a coffee mug with a picture of and a quote from Von Clausewitz from his book "On War". Also it had a wall clock with a picture of Von clausewitz as the background. It had an appreciation message from the part of the [N] High Command. I thank everybody involved in this very nice gesture, I loved it and hope we will continue together in this venture at [N] for years to come. Marshal Vc a brother in arms is indeed a thing to be relied on,however a friend is something to be treasured hope you like.
Ps Sloop actually wanted the clock face to be of himself pointing with the words "The Army Needs You"however we managed to talk him out of it  lol --------------------  |

Thank you everybody for the kind words.
I was actually surprised to receive yet another package today containing an old french book: Napoleon et la Garde Imperiale from my friends at Napoleonics. It looks great, I LOVE IT, you guys did not have to do that, it is too much  I thank you for all this consideration and for the wonderful gestures, i will cherish these items. VC Cannot wait to read thru this book, it has a lot of pictures from the era of different soldiers and some wonderful maps, great find, thank you. -------------------- |

Now you can enjoy a good read whilst enjoying a cup of tea and be able to keep a eye on the clock in fine style.
Glad you are enjoying the book, it's the original version of The Anatomy of Glory - Napoleon and his Guard by Henry Lachouque which comes recommeded in our book review section. --------------------  Second-Lieutenant Lannes ran as fast as anybody until he suddenly stopped, out of range, apparently mortified that he was being a coward. Intent on making amends, he yelled to his comrades over the din of the Spanish guns. "Stop right now, godammit! Stop you a**eholes! We're going the wrong f**king way! Follow me!" |
