The third battle for Calais, was quite uneventfull, scared as they were the dutch pose no resistant at all and as we advanced towards them they started to `panic and some of them defected instantly....
Marshal Vc predicted for them to deploy in some place and they did not...that was a shock....but as it turned out to be it was for the best... they tried to cover a long front and some unexperienced generals holding the left made not resistance to the Iron Marshal who trash them and slaughter them in minutes
...the battle was over and very few casualties on both sides
...it was the Affaire of a petit dejeneur...

After losing 3 battles in a row, The Dutch Corps at Ostend has surrenderd. The only forces that occupies Ostend are the British.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve at Charenton. I am now accustom to the meager accommodations, the dull color of beige walls, and waking in the night from the screams and hysterical laughing however I must beg you to instruct the staff here not to wake me before eleven each morning because spies are watching me while I sleep and snakes come out of the walls if one should awaken too early.

Whilst planning the invasion of England I have come to the decision that the consequences you have decreed should the Dutch not surrender should be implemented regardless of the Dutch response. France is too small a nation and the revolution should be gracefully bestowed upon all conquered lands in such a generous method of beautiful liberty.

Austria and England will be next as part of greater France and the common man will thank you for his liberation to a higher ideal, culture, and language. We are truly the enlightened and merciful and I shall immediately begin the construction of a dozen more guillotines!
