hell's kitchen has the worst name in manhattan, and is the cheapest place to spend your money. over flowing with seedy establishments, which generally includes your every day run of the mill porn shops, no one's quite sure why it's remained popular with the locals. it might be the cheap deals on everything.

times square is situated at the junction between broadway and seventh avenue and is generally regarded as one of new york's iconic images. it plays host to a number of neon lights and led signs, which are enough to rival las vegas. for the most part, the square is mainly known as the crossroads of the world.

central park is one of the more popular and better- known parks in new york city, with over twenty five million visitors a year. it has several lakes and ponds, two ice skating rinks, a wildlife sanctuary and other things of interest. also located within its boundaries are the central park garden and the delacorte theatre.

the west village, also known as 'little bohemia' from the early twentieth century, is the centre of bohemian lifestyle on the west side. located at the top of the neighbourhood, the meat packing district is full of trendy boutiques and night clubs.

a large majority of this district is home to upper middle class families. in the early twentieth century, greenwich village was known as bohemia's capital and the birthplace of the beat movement. now, however, it's a residential environment.

the lower east side has always been traditionally thought of as an immigrant, working class neighbourhood, and was once a centre of jewish culture. it's also home to various cultures, and contains its very own little italy, as well as chinatown.
