Game was actually released yesterday my friend told me at school--Twilight Princess is out for Gamecube. I went to Blockbuster after school today after hearing this (it's within sight of my school luckily), and there it turns out the game won't arrive until tomorrow or Friday. Sucks for me...oh well. Otherwise, he got it at a huge mall miles upon miles away from me (takes nearly an hour to get up there, that's with virtually no traffic). At Circuit City he got it for $37--FREAKIN LUCKY! My family has had this game prebought well over a year (or is it 2?), and we don't even get it. For those lucky people, how is it?

| QUOTE (Evil Link 333 @ Dec 14 2006, 06:52 PM) | Yeah Twilight Princess is out tommorrow on Gamecube although I won't be getting it as it is identical to the Wii version which I am getting. The only difference being the game is mirrored. Tell us what it's like though when you get it.
Off Topic: Are you American Phoenix? |
And I'm proud of it.
Also, we got it today.

Nope, I haven't yet. My friend likes it, my mom though (she's the main Zelda fan and the one who wanted it more than any of us) is sick of all the "busy work" in the ranch at the beginning of the game, my friend beat it in an hour or so he said. As for me, I'm too busy with homework and then my fanfiction, so I won't be there for a while.

I meant the ranch, he told me in an hour he got to the Twilight Zone. (lol, now you have to admit that little "joke" I came up with is at least a bit funny). The whole game?--no way, I can't see that. Heck, it took me at least 24 to beat Wind Waker when I knew all the puzzles, and 4 Swords took me a while too, and I know this game HAS to be longer than those two. (You can just tell by the level of detail that Nintendo has been working hard on the game).
Again, to clarify: HE BEAT THE RANCH IN AN HOUR, NOT THE GAME!
EDIT:
Just got off a few minutes ago, and I must say: cool. The village is annoying, takes a little while (especially fishing--it took me at least half an hour to do that since the fish wouldn't bite). If you can endure that, then the game gets good quickly, especially as a wolf. I got out of the twilight realm and did a couple tasks for Midna (you'll find out who she is later) and now I think I'm about ready to return to the real world.
Just note, PATIENTS are the biggest virtue this game can use. The beginning is very slow, and even the first sewer area of the twilight realm is annoying but it teaches you how to use Wolf Link. I got past that, and I haven't even reached the first temple, and again it's fun. I hope that answered your question.

Ooooh, that makes much more sense lol.
Anyway, is the village really that tedious (<--if that's the word)? It actually looks fun to do something other than just fight, solve puzzle, fight and so on.

have you done any horse battles? |
There are many optional horse battles in the field, but there's i think 2 missions you use the horse combat. i won't give away any details except they have to be done to beat the game. In other words, they're not side quests.

Yes, the GCN version was released the 12th. You can find it at Wal-Mart, Mejiers (whatever) and other places like that.
And don't feel bad. I've been waiting for this too... about as long as you (i had mine reserved, so I got it on release day).
And it's pretty good. I COIULD give some spoilers, since I already beat it, but I don't know. Should I?

I bet I could beat the game in an hour. I've done that on all the other games I have.

Half an hour? I've now played that section of the game and it really took me all f 15 minutes to get to the part where you have to find the kids after they chased the monkey.

Why? Again I enjoyed it but it didn't take too long to do either. Maybe the Wii controls just make it more fun to play?

Alright today and last night I've been over Courage Link's house playing this game...and dang, all I can say is SWEETNESS! If I ever had doubts about this game before, I don't think they're around anymore. While I did most of it myself (with some help from his Wii/Gamecube guide which barley does crap to help) and his help on a few puzzles, I went from the Goron Mines all the way to the Temple of Time in two days. (Rather one night, one early morning to early night around six o'clockish).
But there's one thing that I still don't get story-wise: how in the heck did Zant blast Midna? I mean, I know what he did and all (which I'm trying to dodge around for those who haven't gotten that far), but how? (What I"m trying to say is that I know what he did; but how was he able to control the spirit like that?). Actually, forget what I said above--I have a bit of a doubt: the storyline. Is it just me, or is the series just as cliche as Sonic and Mario? And even then, why does no one complain? (Wait...nevermind, it's only the endlessly-whining purists that hate Sonic who complain, the Mario fanboys I doubt do).
Anyway, anyone else got any progress they'd like to mention?

How did he? Guess who he met and got his power from.
I hate to brag, but...
