Which Is Your Favorite Character? (sonic), And who should be deleted/stay?

EDIT: Just a reminder, this is for Sonic characters not Sega in General.

Screw the old thread, it hasn't been active since...heck, I don't know, and I don't care to look it up either way. It was old, and as far as I'm concerned should be left dead. If anyone disagrees, then talk to me through a PM or in the Staff Lounge.

Anyway, who do you think should go/stay and who is your favorite character? I still like Tails as much as ever--he's still my above-all favorite, but I also like Mephiles--that guy OWNS! TSS apparently doesn't give a crap about Tails and Knuckles from the bit I've read, but then again, screw them--I've never found my place in that forum like I have at MFZ or here, and even then, consider how many people you're dealing with and the radically different opinions at times. Also, I still love Metal Sonic as much as ever--he still owns, and I say to give Eggman a rest for once. Yeah, Eggman's cool and all especially now, but I still like MS and Mephiles more. Oh well, that's just me. Opinions here.

Here's my reasons for liking Mephiles: for one, he's THE strongest villain in the series. I also like his whole entire back story, his abilities, etc. and I hate how he's not going to be coming back...but then again, seeing how ST brought back Shadow after SA2 in Heroes...THEY HAD BETTER HAVE A DANG GOOD EXPLANATION! Hmm...why can't I just list my thoughts right now? Oh well...below you'll find details of the Sonic 06 last story and a couple of reasons I love Mephiles. If you are going to get the game anytime soon, I suggest you don't read it. But if you're among those who are stuck (*not dissing) the Wii without a 360/PS3 and Sonic 06, then you might as well read what's going on.

1) Solaris never existed since the Last Story. Solaris is who Duke Soleanna tried to contact, and thus he accidentally summoned/released (I don't know which) Mephiles and Iblis. Since Elise destroyed Solaris, the whole thing shouldn't have happened. But then, did we really see many ways for Shadow to return in Heroes? (I'm seriously asking--I wasn't into forums until a while after ShadowTH, and I wasn't even back into Sonic until around that time when I beat both games).

2) One reason I like Mephiles: HE KILLED SONIC IN ONE FRICKIN BLAST! I'm serious, he appears, battles Sonic a bit, and then holds out his hand and shoots this huge laser blast that blew a hole in Sonic's chest (that's my guess--his hand was over it, so I can't really say).

I was just guessing on the hole, based on how he was covering his chest--and even then, his quills were blocking the camera--ST was careful about that. If they showed us more, they'd probably have to bump it up to a T. (And how much longer are they keep up this E 10+ crap?). Also, he's more like Shadow than anything, and he's not really made of rock--that's just his appearance. Mephiles is actually a cloud of black smoke, and he just chose to use "adopt" (let's say) Shadow's form. Did you see Shadow's version of Aquatic Base?

For the sake of those who forgot why or never saw the other episode, then yes.

My favorite character has to be...CHAO!! But it's really Cream and Chesse.

Also, I want to make another addition: from SatAm at least, I liked Sally. I think she had a pretty cool personality, and I thought it was pretty funny how she often had to deal with Sonic.

okay...hmm, let's see....i kind of liked Knuckles from the games, but from the new anime, i like Rouge
