I haven't been to the DW since like forever.
Thank god I remembered to download my Arceus yesterday.
anongos - May 2, 2012 10:36 PM (GMT)
I've never even been to the DW before. And I have no idea what DW or Entrelink is really supposed to be.
CRAZ1ah - May 2, 2012 11:39 PM (GMT)
That's where I get my EV reducing berries but I hate going in there.
Zekira - May 3, 2012 07:21 AM (GMT)
As long as there's no Dittos in there, I'm OK with this
pikaby - May 3, 2012 01:53 PM (GMT)
There's always a chance that Gen 5 DW Pokemon will finally be in here and the whole entire metagame gets turned upside down 5 times over again :P

Trust me, it's gonna happen.
Zekira - May 4, 2012 12:12 AM (GMT)
Chandelure isn't the problem anymore; it finally got rotated in the vicious rock-paper-scissors cycle of DWOU
It's the f*cking Ditto. It's worse than the Wobbuffet controversy back in 4th gen and 3rd gen.
pikaby - May 4, 2012 01:31 AM (GMT)
Let's see here. Ability: Imposter
| QUOTE |
As soon as the user comes into battle, it Transforms into its opponent, copying the opponent's stats exactly, with the exception of HP. Imposter copies all stat changes on the target originating from moves and abilities such as Swords Dance and Intimidate.
Imposter does not copy its opponent's IVs but it does copy all EVs except for HP. |

Wake me when the sixth generation is leaked.

It basically shuts down every type of offensive Pokémon with good attacking coverage out cold just by holding a Choice Scarf.
Now imagine a +2 Atk / +2 Spe Haxorus. Then this stupid thing of a bullsh*t comes in. Great.
The main problem with this is that you can't put it in any tier. It's both weak and strong in whatever tier you put it in.
pikaby - May 4, 2012 02:23 PM (GMT)
Imposter Ditto with Choice Scarf. I don't know if this is the most broken Pokemon in any tier or not O_o

Pokemon B/W owners, get your Wi-Fi Darkrai now! :D

Yay!!!
Already have two Darkrais, and really need a Deoxys, but still, yay!
TheFreakyManga - May 10, 2012 08:11 PM (GMT)
Got it along with my birthday Togekiss :3
CRAZ1ah - May 11, 2012 12:42 AM (GMT)
Too lazy to get anything right now because why should I?

You just reminded me.... I forgot to get mine at my last birthday...
pikaby - May 11, 2012 01:18 PM (GMT)
Hopefully I'll be able to redeem a second one this year XD
PaperLink13 - May 11, 2012 01:20 PM (GMT)
@Pikaby How? I have Black and Wi-Fi, but I don't know how to get those things. Plus, I need some Friend Codes from people on here. I only have Freaky's.

From the Main Menu, select Mystery Gift, then select Get via Wi-Fi Connection, then connect normally. That's it, you'll redeem your Darkrai from any Pokemon Center.
As for Global Link and the birthday Togekiss and all that free promo stuff, get a code from the main menu of your game, at Game Sync Settings, then sign up at the Pokemon Trainers Club at Pokemon.com. After that use the code from your Game Sync Settings and your newly created Trainers Club account to sign up for Pokemon Global Link.
Then, access the Dream World like this: put your Pokemon to sleep through the 'Online' option on the C-Gear. Select 'Game Sync' and connect online, then upload a Pokemon to the web. You'll be able to see it on your computer in the Global Link after that.
chimecho24 - May 11, 2012 04:02 PM (GMT)
Ah hooray! I like new things!
PaperLink13 - May 11, 2012 05:06 PM (GMT)
@Pikaby I got Darkrai shorting after posting that. How do I get the Mewtwo though. Also, my birthday is in September and that ends in August, so how I'm I supposed to get it? I have Zekrom in Dream World now. Could you tell me the DW works? Fennel did I horrible job of explaining.
pikaby - May 12, 2012 01:48 AM (GMT)
...ends in August? Aw dang. I thought I'd be able to get a second Togekiss.
Anyway, one Wi-Fi event replaces the other after their promotional date is over. Mewtwo's distribution ended on February 2012, so you can't get that anymore.
As for the Dream World?
http://nintendo5star.blogspot.com/2010/10/...dream-land.html This was the guide I put up when the JP version came out initially, but it should work just the same on the US version.
Basically you send a Pokemon up, then use the Dream World to plant berries, decorate your house, and go to the Dream Island to find new Pokemon and items, by playing a set of four minigames. You're only allowed one hour per day on DW so make it count!
As mentioned in the guide, you can recruit one Pokemon and send items to your DS through the treasure chest in your room. You go to the Entralink to pick up your things
after you wake your Pokemon up.
anongos - May 12, 2012 04:46 AM (GMT)
Wait, I don't really keep up with events and mystery gift giveaways and such, but I want an MG Togekiss. When was that given out?

pikaby - May 12, 2012 12:44 PM (GMT)
To be more specific, on the month of your birthday. So if your birthday is January 7th, you can still redeem it from the 1st through 31st. Doing it is quite fiddly though, it involves using the Pokemon Trainer's Club account (I forgot how to do it already honestly :P)
TheFreakyManga - May 12, 2012 01:47 PM (GMT)
You go to the pokemon.com site and press the folder icon next to your avatar and there's aletter explaining what you have to do.
PaperLink13 - May 13, 2012 12:14 AM (GMT)
I have two Battle Videos on there now. You should check them out. I just beat a guy from Japan with 230 wins.
CRAZ1ah - May 13, 2012 01:38 AM (GMT)
Now I'm scarred to fight you.

Oh, so it's not one of those things that is no longer available at all? I'll check it out (but I'll have to wait for a while until September lol).

I once beat a guy that had over 500 wins. But right before his final Pkmn fell down out of sight, he turned his DS off.
90% of every battle I have been very close to win, they turn their DS off, which does NOT give me a win. I stopped playing online for that. >.>
pikaby - May 13, 2012 09:17 AM (GMT)
I remember beating one Japanese guy who had a little over 1100 wins. But I got lucky because his LO Solar Power Charizard missed a Fire Blast allowing me to rape its guts out and win.
PaperLink13 - May 13, 2012 02:30 PM (GMT)
pikaby - May 14, 2012 12:45 AM (GMT)
Life Orb raises attack power by 30% in exchange for HP damage each turn
Solar Power is Charizard's Dream World ability and raises attack even more in the sunlight (there was a Sunflora or something before Charizard came out)
Combine the two plus Charizard's generally good speed and powerful moves and you have a monster sacrificial sweeper.
chimecho24 - May 14, 2012 04:57 AM (GMT)
Eeeee, sound over-powerful.
Sunflora did have solar power. ^ ^

Err didn't they say that you should pull out your Pokemon during the long maintenance period? Which is, you know, TODAY?
