So tomorrow we have this little "celebration" at school where we present the results of the projects we've been doing for the last 4 months. I am in a project called "Rock and Literature" so we are going to play a song. Unfortunately there was no one that was willing/able to sing so I ended up as the singer (we were really desperate). We've been practising since last week and I admit I don't think I sound THAT bad (DEFINITELY not good though) and a few hours ago we had the last sound-check/practice before the presentation tomorrow. I. SUCKED. BALLZ. I sounded so awful and neither my half-kid/half-man voice nor the kind of suckish microphone helped. I was nervous as well so I didn't really pay attention to what I was saying and god was it baaad. And I am supposed to sing tomorrow in front of the whole school... Total embarassement in front of everyone and teasing material for at least the next year? CHECK!

I don't know why I'm posting I'm just so desperate.

This has happend to me, too. I practiced, sang, and sucked. However, it was literally forgotten the next day. I say, do it and get it over with, and then forget about it. ^^

Also, you always sounds much better than you yourself think you do~

My vote is you just get crazy and sing like Thom Yorke or something. No one will be able to tell if you're good or not!

Just assume that everyone already hates you and failure could do no worse.

ALSO: Remember that in fact no one at all cares about you. No one in the world. Unless you kill yourself or another person there is very little chance anyone will remember this.

Try improvising the song differently. Maybe slowing down the medley, or turning into a rap song. I don't know. :P

This is very true. Most of the time we think people notice those little things we're embarrassed about, but in reality they really don't give a crap.

Actually it didn't turn up so bad.

It maybe even helped with my popularity. People were like "Dude you had the balls to sing in front of the whole school that's rad" and I was like :D

The voice was still mediocre but definitely not awful. I'm really happy it's over and things turned out much better than expected. My friends really helped since when I got on stage they were like "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAH FREAKY YOU ROCK blow our brainz out and stuff" which helped ease my nervousness

I'm happy this is over and I admit I kind of enjoyed it.
I won't let it get over my head though I know my voice isn't good.

Some people call me Fannah, inspired from Hannah Montana since at one time I said that I hated that show and a friend of mine shouted FANNAH MONTANA to annoy me and it stuck. Yes I'm that unlucky.

Another not-so-flattering nickname is Munna and yes it's inspired from the pokemon. What you don't know is that the word "Munna" sounds a lot like the greek word for vagina and it's even used sometimes as slang. So I had caught a munna and I used it in a fight and then a friend of mine saw her and was like OMG FANIS HAS A MUNNA(=vagina) and from that point on he calls me munna and I call him munna too.
