Title: Garfield Minus Garfield
EggBeatr8 - November 9, 2011 03:30 PM (GMT)
|Garfield Minus Garfield is a site dedicated to removing Garfield from the Garfield comic strips in order to reveal the existential angst of a certain young Mr. Jon Arbuckle. It is a journey deep into the mind of an isolated young everyman as he fights a losing battle against loneliness and depression in a quiet American suburb.|
It's so weird it's hilarious. LINK

That is soo wrong. It's obviously Garfield that's Real, and Jon is not.

I Love the Plotline in this one. :grin:
johnny139 - November 9, 2011 10:59 PM (GMT)
Yup it's on my favorites list!
Punchline gets old pretty fast but there's some real gems.

Garfield is always kind of depressing.

There's another one that's like Garfield mirrored or something but I forget how to find it.
toadfan64 - November 10, 2011 01:58 AM (GMT)

MasterofMonster - November 10, 2011 07:00 AM (GMT)

^ It's soo stupid and random like hell. And yet, i Love it.
Why is that, Toadster? OoO
EggBeatr8 - November 11, 2011 12:13 AM (GMT)
I could totally see these being internet memes.
MasterofMonster - November 11, 2011 12:21 AM (GMT)
^ While these are hilarious, i'm sure i would find if funnier if i had read more Garfield. I've read very little, sadly.. ;_;
EggBeatr8 - November 11, 2011 12:25 AM (GMT)
It's funnier if you're a cat owner or a person that suffers from depression and then you can relate better with the characters. The punchlines and line art become better overtime.
MasterofMonster - November 11, 2011 12:26 AM (GMT)
^ Oh, well, i have 5 cats and is depressed as hell. So i guess i really should read more of it~
EggBeatr8 - November 11, 2011 12:32 AM (GMT)
I sense you're a cat fanatic.
toadfan64 - November 11, 2011 12:32 AM (GMT)
Gaefield is my favorite comic strip
DestinλGuy - November 11, 2011 12:34 AM (GMT)
Garfield is a terrible comic.
MasterofMonster - November 11, 2011 12:37 AM (GMT)
Well, i guess. We did have a Kitten too, but it died three days ago..
For me, it's probably nr 3. My favorite would be Hälge (famous Swedish Comic). It's amazing~
<--Hälge the Moose, and Edwin the Hunter, lol~
EggBeatr8 - November 11, 2011 11:17 PM (GMT)
My favorite comic would have to be farside:
@Mom, I'm sorry to hear that... :(
MasterofMonster - November 11, 2011 11:21 PM (GMT)
^ I have never heard of that one. And yet, i totally recognizes it.. O__O
Also, thank you, Eggy. Very kind of you~
EggBeatr8 - November 11, 2011 11:30 PM (GMT)
Also, I LOVE FoxTrot.
Oh, and don't mention it ;)
MasterofMonster - November 11, 2011 11:39 PM (GMT)
^ Not THAT one i've never seen before! ^^
Also, ok. But still, thank you~
DestinλGuy - November 12, 2011 12:56 AM (GMT)
I like The Far Side. I don't normally like FoxTrot but that one is pretty awesome. I imagine the joke would be lost on a lot of people though.
johnny139 - November 12, 2011 02:16 AM (GMT)
I like that FoxTrot is LEGITIMATELY geeky instead of the faux-geeky that a lot of "mainstream" stuff tries to pull.
That's right baby.
MasterofMonster - November 12, 2011 05:04 PM (GMT)
btw, did i ever mention that i have my own Comic serie (not published yet, but i apparantly have some really great chances for it!)?
I will try to get it published sometime in the beggining of the next year. I'd love to show you guys sometime~
EggBeatr8 - November 12, 2011 10:18 PM (GMT)
I tried writing a web comic at one point, but no one would read it.
MasterofMonster - November 13, 2011 12:08 AM (GMT)
^ That's a shame.. however, such things are hard. Takes(usually) years to make something people will actually be interested in.
Unless it's a manga with the Genre 'ecchi' in... >.>
DestinλGuy - November 13, 2011 12:14 AM (GMT)
Actually the ecchi market is positively flooded with low quality cliched garbage that everyone is sick of. Furthermore it demands good people drawing skills.
Many years ago I had a sprite comic called the AGOL. At the time, me and several friends thought it was very funny. Today I can't remember any jokes from it that I still find of value, and I actually opted to have the entire archive wiped at some point. Probably saved me a lot of embarrassment.
The entire comic archive was one extremely large image file. I'm pretty sure I made the whole thing in paint on school computers too. Except for a few hand drawn ones which I will hopefully never see again.
MasterofMonster - November 13, 2011 12:20 AM (GMT)
^ But then, why are there soo damn many Ecchi animes coming out all the time? Most of the ones i see are 90% ecchi... -.-
AGOL? That's cool. ^^ May i see it? *is very interested in comics*~
DestinλGuy - November 13, 2011 02:43 AM (GMT)
That's because the anime market is FLOOOOODED with ecchi, which is what I meant to say but I said it in a weird way.
Fortunately you can not, because the hard drive it was on was wiped years and years ago.
MasterofMonster - November 13, 2011 11:24 AM (GMT)
^ Oh, i see, then... -.- Well, hopefully the ecchi genre will become like Guitar Hero. Milked to death, hehe~
oh, that's too bad... -.-
EggBeatr8 - November 13, 2011 02:43 PM (GMT)
What is "ecchi" now? Is that like yaoi?
pikaby - November 13, 2011 02:53 PM (GMT)
Yaoi = between two males
Ecchi = 'suggestive' sexual themes, without any actual porn. Usually cutesy.
Hentai = I don't think anyone doesn't know this
EggBeatr8 - November 13, 2011 02:55 PM (GMT)
I've heard of Hentai, but I don't know what it actually is.
