Hard metal paws hit the crisp leaves of the cherry blossom trees. Keoko had just escaped the heavy rains of the forest, and found herself starting to rust on the limbs. Carefully, she laid on the ground, and saw the backpack that was on her back fall off. A weak smile spread across her face as she dug her nose into the bag, and found the can of oil that she usually kept with her. Holding the slippery can in her mouth, she added oil to the rusty spots so she could move once more. Keoko smiled bigger and looked at her surroundings. It wasn't much, but it sure was beautiful. The pink leaves filled the ground, making it seem like the grass was pink instead of the normal green. She flipped over until she was on her back, and took a sigh of relief, while drying the remaing of her fur in the hot sunlight.
