Character of the Month
Coming soon!

Welcome!
It has been over 100 years since the fall of the Dark Lord, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, Lord Voldemort at the hands of a young Harry Potter and his friends. But in some ways the battle that raged back then still lives. Gryffindor and Slytherin are still in opposition. And the Order is still trying to control those who wish to make themselves the new Dark Lord. The names have changed but not much else.

These links should get you started with everything you need to know...

The Basics

1) A Basic Grasp on the English Language.
Every now and then a slip up is acceptable, but for the most part keep the type-o's, grammar mistakes, and short posts to a minimum. The average post should be at least 2 paragraphs, if not more. Write as if you were going to read it like a story.

BAD EXAMPLE 1: *She glided down the hallway.* (Don't use *'s for action.)
BAD EXAMPLE 2: She glides down the hallway. (Don't use present tense.)

2) No SPAM Posts.
This means no Short, Pointless, and Annoying Messages. If you are going to post under someone else’s topic, please be courteous and don't do it unless you have something useful to contribute. Circles are not fun to walk in, trust us. Also, when replying to someone else’s post, please try your hardest to match length (no, I'm not saying to count the words out, just if someone writes a four paragraph starting post, don't reply with a half-assed barely-paragraph post). Also, no board sluts. That means no running around and posting at EVERY SINGLE TOPIC. Please, it's annoying and pointless.

3) Signatures
Please, refrain from posting big pictures in your signature. We try to keep your freedom of expression as well as we can. However, we do not want to deter from the essence of role-playing. If you wish to have a banner of sorts keep the height under 250 pixels and make sure it does not stretch the page.

4) Cursing, violence, sex, ect.
...is welcome here, simply because that's the type of thing that happens in the real world. However, keep it within reason. Don't run around cursing everything because you can, fighting everything because you can, and screwing everything because you can. Make sure you keep it within reason, and in character.

If that kind of stuff offends you, this is not the RPG for you. If you are a minor, know that WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR ACTIONS. The boards will not be censored.

5) No Canon Characters.
No using characters from well known (or even not so well known) books and movies, ect Be creative when thinking of your own characters. If you aren't smart enough to think of your own character, this is not the RPG for you. This is a completely original site. The only thing used is the world created by J.K. Rowling. That is all.

6) Sexism, Racism, and Discrimination.
...are fine in character only. Your character is bound to be biased in some way shape or form, and others will be rude to you for similar reasons. It's just the game.

If you're been harassed OUT OF CHARACTER, please PM one of the Admins immediately.

6) Don't God-Mod.**
Generally, God Modding means controlling the actions of someone else's RP character. However, it also encompasses other behaviors that are considered to be unfair. These behaviors include: unfairly avoiding an attack, going beyond the limits of your character, and having your character know things that it shouldn't.

On a side note you may see certain characters god modding others, this does not mean that it is encouraged. What is written is always done with permission and/or between players who trust each other enough to let another control their character.

You cannot kill or permanently maim another character without that character's permission. Also, don't post for your Character A under your Character B's name. Don't be lazy, just log on to your other account and do it.

**Admin have every right, where they see fit (meaning where this rule is being broken), to Godmod and will more than likely fuck up your character. Basically, you Godmod, the admin will Godmod better!

7) Character Copyright
I put this here because some people seem to have a problem with being individuals. They have a problem coming up with thier own characters and names. ALL characters here are copyrighted to their creators. First and last names. If I find out anyone is stealing them you will be banned among other things.

Most of all this is a site to have fun. So please. Enjoy yourselves!

SPECIAL THANKS: Kitty, who I adore because she let me take her rule write up and modify it slightly cause I'm LAZY!!!

Animagi: Animagus is a wizard or witch capable of turning into a particular animal and back at will. Becoming an Animagus is extremely difficult, and the transformation can go horribly wrong. Animagi can assume only one animal form, and that form is not chosen by them. Rather, it reflects a witch or wizard's inner nature. (Wikipedia)

Magid: Magid are naturally strong wizards and witches, born with immense strength but also a natural capability to control that strength. Wandless magic comes to them far easier than regular Witches and Wizards because they already have the innate ability to perform magic without the use of a focus point like a wand.

0 of 5 Taken

Metamorphmagi: A metamorphmagus is a wizard/witch born with the ability to change their shape at will. Details about the power are limited. It is known that the ability is extremely rare and comes only to those who are born with it. (Wikipedia)

0 of 5 Taken

Seer: Seers are able to make accurate prophecies and predictions about the future, sometimes using focus points such as crystal balls, tea leaves, and tarot cards, and sometimes entering trances. When in a trance, what they say is true, but often mysterious. The Seer does not remember entering the trance, nor what they said at that time, often thinking that they just dozed off for a moment or two.

0 of 5 Taken

Werewolf: A werewolf is a human who, at the full moon, transforms into a vicious wolf. A werewolf comes into being when a person is bitten by another werewolf. Once this happens, the person must learn to manage the condition. Modern potion-making has come up with a draught called Wolfsbane Potion which controls some of the worst effects of the condition. Wolfsbane Potion is quite difficult to make, even for fully qualified wizards. (Wikipedia)
