Revival Suggestions v2

For some reason the other revival topic is locked.

I think that anybody who is interested in helping with a revival should get Skype so we can easily communicate (we don't necessarily have to use voice if you don't want to).

Also, I think the board should be shut down while the forums are streamlined and cleaned up before we start getting people back.

Thirdly, I think we need to recruit at other boards, and get a strong, dedicated admin team set up.

Finally, we just need to stay active even when it looks like the board is dying.

Can I also request that all the forum images are hosted at a site other than Photobucket or imageshack, as the proxy server at my school blocks images from those sites for some idiotic reason.

Where other than Photobucket/Imageshack? Those are easily the best two image hosts.

Apart from that, I agree with what Stevie says. If we can get a solid core of members up, I'd be more than happy to dedicate time to this forum (either as an admin, mod, or just a member). Recruiting is key. The more active members that we have, the more people will be willing to join and participate. If those of us here make sure to participate and recruit new members, we can build up a good group of members here.

If you're looking for an image host, try creating a Dropbox account for the forum. It's worked well for my personal stuff.

One of the best ways I've observed for generating interest and activity is to offer awards and rewards for being a contributing member of the community. Just a thought.

We've tried that before. It might work again, but it's hard to accomplish this when the admins are scarce to see on here anymore, most especially neorice.

Well, maybe we need to promote another admin or two.
