(Sorry for not getting you updated sooner. It seemed like every time I tried to get to you, I'd either have to leave for work or I'd fall asleep at the computer.)
Cabot and Tyra set off into the desert, making their way towards Tin Town. The journey is more tolerable as the sands are beginning to cool off as the sky begins to grow dim. "Looks like it's gonna be dark soon. Perhaps we should make our way back towards the lookout..." Tyra says as she scans the horizon, but stops her sentence short as she whips around, flailing her arms slightly. "Something just grabbed at my jacket," She whispers, slowly turning in the sands, almost as if a lighthouse in the dunes. Cabot feels something grab his ear and tug. Tyra's not joking around now obviously. There is something out there, but what could it be? A chill runs down the back of Cabot's neck as he waits for the next mysterious strike. It's not long before the young trainer is taken by surprise as a skull appears in front of his face, an eye wondering back and forth between the eye sockets. -------------------- |

(It's fine.)
Cabot looked around when Tyra mentioned the strange occurence. Just a moment later, Cabot felt the tug on his ear. Suddenly, a skull appears in front of them. Cabot jumps back and grabs for his camera, partly for protection—not that a camera is much of a defense—and partly to take a picture. After getting his picture, Cabot reaches for a Poké Ball. "Go, Rabolt!" Cabot said, releasing his newly-caught Pokémon from its Ball. "Okay, Rabolt, I don't know what this is, but if it's a Pokémon, we'll catch it!" -------------------- |

Tyra hears the commotion, turning to find Cabot summoning his Rabolt confronting the surprise attacker. She lets out a little yelp, fumbling through her pack to pull out her Pokédex. Flipping it open, the mechanical voice chimes out,
The sound of the yelp attracts the Duskull, shifting it's attention from Cabolt to Tyra. She stands motionless as it floats closer to her. "Get that thing away from me." Tyra says through clenched teeth. Rabolt takes action, using Quick Attack at the Requiem Pokémon. But it doesn't work, Rabolt passing straight through the Duskull to land in the sand. Duskull is distracted from Tyra, turning back to Rabolt. It doesn't seem very pleased that it was attacked. -------------------- |

Cabot watches Rabolt pass through the Duskull and hit the ground. The Duskull turned towards Rabolt. "Maybe it wasn't a great idea to fight a
Once Rabolt was safely returned, Cabot put the Poké Ball away and took out another one. "Alright, Geropian! Take the stage!" Cabot said, and released Geropian from its Poké Ball. "I hope you're up for a battle!" Cabot told his Pokémon. "Use Poison Sting on that Duskull, but watch out for its attacks!" Hopefully, Geropian had recovered enough to fight another battle. -------------------- |

(Ugh, sinus infection is no fun when it drains you of all...thought. But feeling my brain returning finally. And so you know, this Duskull is level 6, male.)
Cabot's Geropian appears in the sand, shaking his tail to intimidate the requiem Pokémon and lower it's attack by 1. Duskull's eye drifts back and forth between the eye sockets in the skull as it uses Leer, lowering Geropian's Defense by 1. The pintail Pokémon seems to get agitated by this, lashing his tail forward with Poison Sting. The poisonous pins pierce through Duskull, making it moan lightly. But unfortunately, the Tyra cowers behind Cabot, hiding herself from the battle that's taking place. He can feel her peek over his shoulder a moment just to duck back down out of the sight of the ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Duskull's Attack is lowered by 1. Cabot pointed towards the Duskull. "Okay, Geropian! Use your Poison Sting again! Make it count!"
Hopefully, Geropian would be able to inflict some good damage on the Duskull, even using Geropian was preparing for the attack. Cabot waited and saw that Tyra wasn't next to him any more. Tyra seemed to be scared—for some reason, Cabot couldn't really figure why. -------------------- |
