Title: Time to Cool Off
Description: Tom and Daya evade the law

Lucario Master - January 22, 2007 01:05 AM (GMT)
Tom step foot in the wet swampy area, not liking his surroundings. But, he had to be here, as he and Daya could not go back into Southstead, not with what had happened in the mansion. He turned to Daya. "So, how long to do think we'll need to be here for" Tom asked her, unsure of they would ever return to Southstead.

Seeker - January 22, 2007 01:25 AM (GMT)
"I... don't know." Daya said, giving a sheepish yet nervous smile. She turned peering out over the murky water and stretches of mud.
"It's a good thing I didn't wear my good shoes." she said, taking some steps through the mud. Some splashed on her face as a Maaville fighting a Nidoran rolled by.

Lucario Master - January 22, 2007 01:33 AM (GMT)
Tom held in his laughter, as it was no laughing matter. They were almost like escapted convicts, as both of them were probably had warrents out for them. But, he didn't care. He was gonna do what he did, like when he was in Kanto. "Well, should we proceed into the depths of the swamp" He insisted.

Seeker - January 22, 2007 01:42 AM (GMT)
It was a sticky situation progressing through the mud. It grabbed at your shoes, and progress was slow. One patch of mud, a more gray color, grabbed at your shoe particularly tightly. It seemed almost purple even, and kept on tugging. Lifting up revealed a set of eyes, and a faint "Griii..." from whatever had grabbed a hold of your shoe. It was definitely worse than stepping in mud, or even gum. Daya looked on from the side, stamping on.

Lucario Master - January 22, 2007 01:52 AM (GMT)
Tom attempted to release himself from what appeared to him to be a Grimer. HE would release Lunatone. "Lunatone, this Grimer wishes to annoy me. Use a Confusion on it. Make the sludge creature release its grip of me please" Tom commanded his Lunatone, kind of mad at the Grimer for grabbing his shoes, especially at a time like this.

Seeker - January 22, 2007 02:00 AM (GMT)
Lunatone slowly closed it's eyes, and the Grimer was soon being pulled away from your shoe. It tried to hold on, but Lunatones tugging was two strong. It was jolted away, where it was being slid through the mud. Grimer threw a bit of sludge at Lunatone, which hit it on the head. It stopped pulling Grimer along, as if it had blanked out on how to do so.

Tom reliazed that was the work of Grimer's Disable Attack. "Lunatone, you don't need your Confusion Attack for the time being. Use a Rock Throw and follow it up with a Harden, Make your defenses greater like when we were in the mansion. Then, follow it up with another Rock Throw" Tom shouted to Lunatone.

He hated Grimer. He had seen to many in Kanto. Since he lived in Vermillion, known as a big city, many Grimer enfested the Sewers that it had. He remember the foul stench they possessed, and how much worse it got through evolution.

Seeker - January 22, 2007 02:10 AM (GMT)
Lunatone focused on the mud, curling and pressing some in to a makeshift rock. It hurled this at grimer, hitting and splashing as if it had hit a puddle. Grimer rippled, and then slapped the ground. Mud splattered up, but it couldn't touch Lunatone. Lunatone then reinforced it's body, and gathered up more mud, tossing another makeshift rock in to Grimer. Grimer was too stupid to run away, so it kept trying to slap mud on Lunatone.

Tom chuckled a little, seeing as this Grimer was a very unworthy opponent. "Lunatone, finish this Grimer. It seems to not like dodging anything, so give it a good Rock Throw right to the chest. If it still isn't down for the count, launch another one is succession to it. I think that should do it at that point. But, if it doesn't, Harden up and give it a good old fashioned Tackle with your Hardened body" Tom stated to Lunatone in a chuckling tone. His first battle in the Swamp was a beyond easy one, as this Grimer showed no potential at all to Tom.

Seeker - January 22, 2007 02:27 AM (GMT)
Lunatone was a bit aggrivated at how unsporting the grimer was, so globbed up a giant ball of mud, squeezed it in to a rock, and slammed it on Grimer. Grimer seemed to fade in to the mud, Lunatone celebrating it's easily earned victory. Perhaps some more challenging foes were waiting ahead.

Lunatone gained 1 EXP!

Lucario Master - January 22, 2007 02:29 AM (GMT)
Tom would continue onward with Lunatone, trying to catch up with Daya. He decided to keep Lunatone out, so it would be able to find more challenging opponents in the swamp to come. He then wiped some sweat off of his forehead, as he'd been sweating every instant since the events at the mansion.

Seeker - January 22, 2007 02:38 AM (GMT)
Walking around with Lunatone was somewhat odd. Lunatone floated over the mud, so often sped ahead of Daya and yourself. Adventually, it stopped, observing a patch of boiling mud. A small yellow eye poked out of the mud's surface, and it looked like it was covered in magma. Another eye rose, a Slugma it seemed.

Lucario Master - January 22, 2007 11:58 AM (GMT)
Tom would recall his Lunatone, as he'd been doing the majority of the battles lately so he wanted to give someone else a try. He'd released Aqualf, as he at least wanted someone with an advantage.

"Aqualf, start of this battle with a Leer. Lower it defenses aswell as give it a frightening stare. Then, use a Bubblebeam, as its magma body won't take well to the fact of water filled bubbles. Afterwhich use a Supersonic attack to make it become confused and most likely unable to execute anything" Tom explained to Aqualf in a rather dull tone. He was bored of the two Pokemon he had seen in this region of Midamis. But then again, what creature would want to live in the swamps?

Seeker - January 22, 2007 08:42 PM (GMT)
Aqualf gave a piercing stare towards the Slugma, who backed up a bit in the mud and release a trail of smog, which Aqualf began to choke on. Aqualf managed to fire some bubbles through the smog with enough force, which pelted Slugma, causing it to back up even more, annoyed at the numerous drops of water. Slugma then tossed a rock it had passed over at Aqualf, hitting it on the head. Aqualf opened it's mouth, and this time belted out a note too high for you to hear. Perhaps it was too high, as the Slugma seemed unphased.

Tom made a grumbling sound due to Aqualfs new condition. "Aqualf, you'll have to try and deal with this new status condition. Start off with a Bubblebeam, since Water Attacks are our best bet against the magma Slug Pokemon. Then, give another try at the high pitched Supersonic attack, but try and use it where its effective" Tom explained to Aqualf in a rather quiet tone.

Seeker - January 22, 2007 09:44 PM (GMT)
Aqualf shot off another high powered stream of bubbles, this time the smog had dispersed and they hit head on, driving Slugma on to a slam of land with some grass, where it tried to brush the bubbles out. It also brushed off a lot of mud in the process, and Aqualf made a quick noise, which must have struck this time, as Slugma began spinning in circles. Slugma managed to catch the grass on fire, and the embers darted off, pelting Aqualf a bit. Aqualf seemed rather unphased by them, but still coughed from the smog in it's lungs.

Tom folded his arms, almost feeling bad for Aqualf's poison stats. He could feel its pain in some kind of form, but not exactly.

"We need to finish this quickly Aqualf, before the poison slowly drains you of every piece of health you have. Use a Bubblebeam, as that seems to still be the most effective. Then, point you head downward, showing off your magnificant horns. Then, thrust foward, almost asthough you were trying for a Pound Attack, only fire a Bubblebeam instead, to psyche it out" Tom explained. He hoped the battle would end, as he heard a powerplant existed in the swamp, an ideal place to hide if your on the run.

Seeker - January 22, 2007 10:34 PM (GMT)
The Slugma was too confused with the battle in it's own mind to notice the fient, but regardless, the stream of bubbles shot through just as hard, the smog having completely dispersed. They pressed Slugma in to the ground, which turned to mud as the water trickled down Slugma's body. It couldn't take much more of it, and this attack turned out to be the last of the battle, Slugma fizzling out.

Lucario Master - January 22, 2007 10:45 PM (GMT)
Tom recalled his Aqualf, proud of the masterpiece battle it presented him, but he expected nothing short of it. He then chucked a Pokeball at the Slugma, as it was more useful then a Grimer. He stood hovering over the Pokeball, waiting to see if the slug Pokemon would remain inside of the ball. If for some reason, it didn't, Tom decided he would leave it, and then tell Daya of the power plant.

Seeker - January 22, 2007 10:55 PM (GMT)
"We should head there, maybe the legendary went there!" Daya said, dashing off through the mud. Soon she was off, lost again in the distance. She seemed to be rather skilled at dissapearing. The powerlant could be seen in the distance, marked by an unnatural cloud of smoke. It seemed like the polution from it had turned the swamp as volatile as it was. A man with a gas mask on was wading through the mud next to you, looking over.
"You don't look like you're from around here. What brings you to the swamp?" he asked in a curious tone, voice muffled by the mask.

Lucario Master - January 22, 2007 11:27 PM (GMT)
[Wait, so was Slugma cought]

"Uh, my travels brought me here. This is the way to the destroyed city, is it not" Tom lied, hoping his tone of voice would be convincing enough to persuade the man. Tom then began to slowly move towards the plant, ignoring the mans existance after his comment towards his question.

Seeker - January 23, 2007 12:23 AM (GMT)
[Ohhh! My bad. I thought you said For Some Reason, didn't see the if]

The Pokeball clicked after a bit of delay, the Slugma being transfered to your PC,
A Level 18 Male Slugma was captured!

"To each his own, I guess." he said, turning and wading off through the mud. The mud began to turn to murky water, where oil danced over the top in various patterns, too hostile for any Pokemon to take residence. The plant was now clearly in front of you, plumes of smoke rising up from the smoke stacks on top. It's square design seemed odd admist the chaos of the swamp. Perhaps it had not always been a swamp.

Regardless, the plant now stood before you, waiting to be explored.

Lucario Master - January 23, 2007 12:30 AM (GMT)
Tom would approach the door, slowly extending his hand to open it. He walked inside, knowing this would be an enjoyable time. He heard that the Power Plant possessed a rare amount of Pokemon, and thats what would give this adventure into it an excitement. He heard Craura dwelled inside this very Power Plant, and he wouldn't mind another eerie Pokemon on his team.

Seeker - January 23, 2007 12:34 AM (GMT)
A Murkrow cawed as you opened the door, jumping down from the top and pecking at your hat. It seemed to be acting as some sort of guard to the gate. It soon grabbed your hat, leaping off and dropping it on the floor, landing to peck at it.

Lucario Master - January 23, 2007 12:40 AM (GMT)
Tom would release Vauxee from her Pokeball.

"Vauxee, teach this Murkrow some manners. Give it a good zap, using your Thundershock attack on it. Then, teach it disapline, by giving it a few good slaps across the face with a good old fashioned Doubleslap" Tom commanded Vauxee. He hated when two things occured. One, when something stole his hat from his head. Two, whenever he met criminals from region based teams.

Seeker - January 23, 2007 01:02 AM (GMT)
Felefox growled and hopped in to action, a streak of red and yellow as it dashed towards the Murkrow. Sparks began running down the yellow stripes on it's body, shooting off as if they were an extension, shocking Murkrow with a thundering sound. Murkrow remained in a shocked position, electricity acting like an X-Ray as it's feathers stood on end, face upright, and mouth gawked in surprise. After it recovered from this stint, it spun around a bit dazed. Felefox hopped closer, waggling it's bushy tail across Murkrow's face. Murkrow dove down, beak pelting Felefox's fur.

[Aye, I said Vauxee, but Felefox is fine. I was going for one of my Electric Pokemon XD]

Tom looked at Felefox, knowing this would be a tad bit easy for her to acomplish.

"Use another Thundershock, as I don't think it learned its lesson yet. Then, make its insides burn, by the means of a Fire Fang attack. Follow that attack up with a charging Spark attack. dash foward, electricity flowing over you body, almost like a Volt Tackle in some form" Tom explained to Felefox. He would then retrieve his hat, placing it firmly above his head of hair, where it belonged.

Seeker - January 23, 2007 01:18 AM (GMT)
[Ooops. First I goofed on the Slugma, now this x_x]

Felefox let Murkrows beak not retreat, surging electricity through the fowl. It was stuck in position, and Felefox bit on to it's beak, flames surging through the beast. Almost out at this point, Murkrow tried to move away, swirling around in a rigid fashion. Felefox hopped back through the air, landing on the concrete sidewalk around the entrance. Gray passed under it as it ran forward, electricity flowing all over it's body. As it hit head on, the electricity sparked out like metal hitting metal, the sparks shocking the conscious state out of Murkrow.

Luckily, your hat still fit like a glove even after Murkrow's tampering.

Tom would recall Felefox, placing her Pokeball on its rightful place on his belt. He then proceeded to walk deeped into the Power Plant, looking to find Daya, as her disappearing acts were really beginning to anger Tom. He looked around carefully, as abandoned places tended to contain items that were left behind.

Seeker - January 23, 2007 01:46 AM (GMT)
In a dark shadow, it looked as if there was a Pokeball someone had left on the ground. It wobbled around a bit, and revealed itself to be a Voltorb. The Voltorb buzzed past you, turning around and screeching, a Mikaruge scaring it. The purple flames cast a faint light on the shadows, and on a trainer standing behind it. Voltorb rolled out of the plant, hiding from the Pokemon.

Lucario Master - January 23, 2007 02:02 AM (GMT)
Tom looked at Mikaruge and knew the trainer standing behind it was indeed Daya. "Thanks, I think. Shall we proceed farther into this place" He commented to Daya. He then began to put his hands towards the Mikaruge's flames, trying to touch them and see if it was cool enough to pet the Pokemon.

Seeker - January 23, 2007 02:07 AM (GMT)
They were, and Mikaruge began to pur and lap it's flames around your hand as you did so. In fact, they were quite cold, like a breezy first day of spring. It would have been quite refreshing in the desert.
"Yes, let's head deeper and see what we find." Daya said, recalling Mikaruge and beginning to take a few steps in to the plant. She then ran in to a wall, with a resounding "THUD". Perhaps it was a bit too dark.

Lucario Master - January 23, 2007 02:21 AM (GMT)
Tom held in his laughter, as lately, nothing had been really humourous to him since the mansion. He lifted up Daya, lucky to even find her in this darkness. "How do you explain a place overflowing with electric Pokemon not have lights" Tom said, chuckling a bit. He then released Felefox once more, knowing she could light the way. "Felefox, I need you to try and find me a piece of wood in this area. Not to big, probably about the size of my arm, so we can make a torch, like when we descended into the hole" Tom asked.

Seeker - January 23, 2007 02:25 AM (GMT)
Felefox wandered off in the darkness, and seemed to be a long time in the running. Perhaps it wasn't the best idea to send Felefox to do Kintee's previous job, as it came hopping back with an angry Maaville in it's mouth, who kicked and tugged and tried to break free. It's sister chased after Felefox, coming from the shadows as well.

Lucario Master - January 23, 2007 02:28 AM (GMT)
Tom grasped his head in agony. "No Felefox, I needed a piece of wood. How am I supposed to light a Maaville on fire? It was a good effort though" He said, joking around a bit. He then asked Felefox to release the Maaville, so it could return to its sister. He then proceeded to release Petri. "Petri, using Confusion, find me a piece of wood about the size of my arm. Please, it would be most helpful" He asked his beautiful bird Pokemon.

Seeker - January 23, 2007 02:36 AM (GMT)
Felefox dropped the angry Maaville, who ran off to it's sister. The two hopped back in to the shadows. Petri then took it's try at it, beginning to focus intently. Soon the man in the gas mask from before began floating in, looking around in dismay.
"Time for my weekly maintanence of this thing. It smells so bad..." he said in a muffled voice, hardly noticing he had been floated in. He called out a Raichu.
"Raichu, FLASH!" he said in a muffled voice. Thunder surged through Raichu, lighting up it's tail. The two began to head further, Raichu's tail illuminating the area.

Lucario Master - January 23, 2007 11:47 AM (GMT)
Tom recalled both of his Pokemon, as Petri had found light to say the least. "Weekly maintanence? This place in abandoned, is it not. Usually, an active power plant does not have Pokemon rolling around it" Tom said in a questioning manner. He did wonder as to why a destroyed town would need to have weekly maintanence done on its power plant.

Seeker - January 23, 2007 07:52 PM (GMT)
"It was abandoned. After the tornado cut through the Midlands, we had to boot it back up. The electric Pokemon seem to flock to the gentle hum of the generators, We only visit once a week, as to not disturb them too much. If you want to go further, I'm not be your lantern. Try finding the Green Dragonite, the owner there taught my Raichu how to light the way." he mused through the muffle of the mask. He took a few deep breath's, Raichu leading the way in to the darkness. It's tail waggled from side to side, casting an odd glow as they proceeded in to the darkness.

Lucario Master - January 23, 2007 08:23 PM (GMT)
Tom turned to face Daya. "So, shall we attempt to continue into this abyss of blindness? Or, should we head the mans advice, and seek help at the Green Dragonite? I'm sure we could venture there, as I doubt the word has reached the depths of the swamps yet" Tom suggested.

Seeker - January 23, 2007 08:26 PM (GMT)
"Well, I don't like running in to walls." Daya said, rubbing her head. Her stomach then grumbled loudly.
"And I could use a good meal after all this adventure..." she added, drooling a bit over the thought of food.
"So it's your choice, Tom." she said, smiling and nodding.
