I know Neo wants to do shinies himself but I thought I'd throw in idea out for the Chulee family.

these are just ideas and I'd love for Neo to comment on them. lol

They look a bit too much like the originals. But I would suggest allowing Neo to do them, as he's the only one that knows what he wants.

But, you can try your hardest at them.

I know Neo's doing them, I'm just giving ideas of what I think Neo has envisioned for them.

There's not enough color difference. Make the color more different than the original.

Maybe, a darker shade or a different color, like everyone else said. Just saying.

You tried, but I can hardly see any difference. Maybe if you changed more their colors...

this isn't really an idea but a recolor. lol

I actually like that color on Doree. Looks to saturated though, at least in my opinion.

now that I do look at it, it does look like it is wet. I was actually trying to go with colors that might help it blend into the sand so that they are hard to find. lol

Ok so I tried an idea for Pyrall



I used a yellowish theme and the parts that were greenish were changed to bluish colors and the horns were made silverish

The Pyral is nice, but I thik it follows the Charmander shiny idea (fire starter that is orange becomes yellow). Not that is something bad, but I think the Shiny Pyrall coud be more original.

Same here . Maybe change the color to a not very comonly user like umm grey .

my inspiration for this one was the scene from the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie where the turtles are at the campfire and recieve their "final" message from Splinter. They thought that after the message that Splinter died but was found alive.

For Pyrall, make the red blue, and the blue black (On the real version of Pyrall). That might look sweet.

It's a slightly modified Charmander palette. I've got the rest of the line done in the appropriate colors too.


They didn't turn out too well. The dark outline color on Inferlauf is the same on all parts of the sprite, making it hard to get colors right. I'll try to find some other palettes that might work.

I like the pyrall and baufire but they kinda seem to do the shiny charmander thing (normal form orange then shiny form is yellow).

how the heck do people find out hte palettes!

Zoom in 8x in MSPAINT, use the beaker to grab a color. Use a large paint brush, make a square of the color. Rip another color, determine if it is darker/lighter than what was before, place accordingly.
Etc. Etc.

Does anyone think I should retry the Baufire one? It seems to odd to me now that I look at it. They were all done in 15 minutes, so theres going to be mistakes.

I did one more try at Pyrall. I am actually pretty happy with they way this one came out.



I tried putting the palette with it but it seems a little small. lol

i know how hard the pyrall line is so i must say you did a great job with this shiny ^_^ .

I'm probably gonna do Baufire and Inferlauf similar to the Pyrall colors. I stuck with silver horns cause I just like silver horns.

There cool . I like how they look like there part ground type .

actually I was going for a faded fur look which I think I accomplished. I think the red just adds a touch of indication that it is a Fire type but at the same time looks good with the faded fur look.

i now know you have done what i couldnt: making a good pyrall shiny line.

but then i dont really like this pokemon and i like youre chiny more, so good jod ^_^

actually the plan was to go with just gray colors instead of what I actually did. The stone thing on its head was the part I was worried about most.

i must say you succeeded doing the stone on his head good, cuz its better than the non shiny :P

Kremcee looks pretty cool, although I invisioned its shiny form to have green where the whitish area is, and a tone similar to yours for the blackish.
