I am posting this at special request of Olympic

Chapter One:

Andy is hardly able to believe what he’s hearing. Kat begging him for money yet again. After all that’s been said and done, here she is begging for more! And yet her eyes are more pleading that when she first asked for money. He wonders whether she’s got some masochistic tendencies for she always seems to be coming back to him like a boomerang. No matter how hard he throws her from him, still she keeps returning. This time, she wants fifty grand or more for her daughter, Zoë!

Her need, she tells him is more urgent than when she sought money to help her father.

Kat is desperate and it’s evident, he, Andy, is the only one available to help.

Still, her arrival to his mansion has knocked him for six. Her stands before him, the woman who tore his heart apart. In fact, she’s almost on her needs, and as much as he tries to fight his yearning for this amazing woman, his heart goes out to her once more.

“What is so desperately urgent that you come grovelling to me again?” his voice is harsh, but he needs to keep himself in check. Too many times he’s revealed to her how weak he really is in her presence.

As soon as his butler announced the unexpected arrival of Kat Moon into the mansion, Andy felt his knees weaken and he had to take a quick cold shower before seeing her. She sets his pulses racing, she’s like a fire, blazing and furious, everything his heart desires. And yet, in all honesty, he is as lost for words as Alfie was in proclaiming his love for this feisty woman. But feisty is something which is not Kat right now.

Kat has fallen to her knees now as if the weight of her voluptuous body is too much for her to bear. She reaches out and grabs his hands.

“I know I have no right to ask, I know I hurt you badly jilting you at the altar,” Kat stutters apologetically.

He pulls his hands away. “It was a dirty thing stunt you pulled, Kat,” he growls.

She nods, tears rolling down her cheeks. “But you done worse,” she points out. “You raped me in a sense.”

He flinches at her words.

Instantly she regrets the hurt she’s inflicted upon him yet again and scrambles to her feet. Zoë’s need is so much greater than her father’s need was. No matter what the price, Kat Moon will not go back home without obtaining what she needs to in order to help Zoë. Fifty grand or as much as Andy Hunter is willing to give her.

She’s allowed Alfie to think that they beat Andy, but it was really she alone who broke him. She knows he’s weak in her company. He’s weak because he loves her, he like putty in her hands.

And yet even now she tries to deny to herself how she really felt when she crumbled to Andy’s demands and went to bed with him in order to save Alfie’s skin. It was not his lovemaking that made her sick, no, it was because she felt sickened she could enjoy sex, even under extreme duress from this suave gangster boss. Andy Hunter makes her feel alive, his mere presence excites her. The smell of his cologne, expensive, enticing and pleasing to the nostrils makes her realise the wonderful sensations she’s depriving herself of by remaining married to Alfie.

It’s not that Alfie isn’t a considerate lover, he is. It’s just his lovemaking is nothing compared to Andy’s, and it lacks excitement and adventure. And she loves Andy and is often confused about her feelings for Alfie. Her attention is drawn to the green marble feature, fireplace and she strolls towards it and gazes at all the family photographs upon the mantelpiece.

Andy watches the love of his life silently then turns as the door opens. Joanne enters with tea upon a tray, the finest silver tea service. Only the best is good enough for Kat, Andy told her.

Kat frowns when she sees Joanne.

“Joanne has been working for me ever since she left the employment of Phil,” Andy says.

Joanne pours the tea and then leaves them alone.

Kat gazes at the photograph of Andy’s daughter, Rebecca.

“Leave that alone, please Kat,” Andy says.

Kat apologises, hearing the sorrow in his voice.

“Look Andy, I’m begging you. I really need this money,” Kat says going to him.

He sits casually upon the soft leather settee and is already sipping his tea.

“I’ll do anything,” she says standing before him, then drops to her knees again. “Anything, even sleep with you again.”

Andy raises his eyebrows.

“For God’s sake, Andy, name your price! You have no idea how demoralising it is for me to be here,” Kat sobs.

“Kat…”

“Zoë’s dying!” Kat blurts out. “Can you see it in your heart to part with some of your ill-gotten gains to give my daughter a chance of survival? There is no treatment here in Britain, only a handful of cases in the world, three in America where treatment is available…”

Stunned, Andy’s heart sinks. From the mantelpiece, the beautiful, eyes of his ten year old daughter seems to plead with him also. Andy closes his eyes against tears, he wishes to be blind to his daughter’s photographs and Kat’s distraught face.

“Oh forget it!” Kat suddenly screams, her saliva spraying his face as she jumps to her feet. “I should’ve known you’re just, a callous, cold hearted animal. A beast with a heart of stone! The people in Walford are generous. We’ll get the money somehow. She’s wasting away, Zoë is. They thought it anorexia at first, a wasting disease it is…”

“Kat…” Andy opens his eyes, horrified at her words.

“It doesn’t even have a name yet, the disease is that rare.”

Kat knocks over the tea in her haste to avoid Andy’s grasp. She runs to the door. Fumbles with the knob clumsily. She can’t open the door. Andy gets up to assist her.

“Get away,” Kat screams slapping him. “You’re a…a pathetic rapist!”

Her words wound him, but he understands absolutely the turmoil she’s in and why she had to come to see him.

“Kat,” he says softly. “I understand, really, I do.”

“How can you?” Kat hisses.

“Because my daughter, Rebecca,” Andy casts a sorrowful gaze at his daughter’s photograph, “died from the same disease.”

Kat’s heart misses a beat.

“Give me your account details,” Andy says gently. “I’ll arrange for the money to be transferred immediately to your bank account.”

Relief washes over Kat.

“For Rebecca, I do this,” Andy says putting his arm around her and leading her back to the settee. “You don’t have to worry about repaying me.” He shouts to Joanne to bring fresh tea.

Despite the turmoil she’s in, Kat’s senses are suddenly aroused. He smells and feels good. His chest is damp from her tears. She pulls away ever so briefly, then raises his face to hers.

They kiss.

I think Kat loves him.

Sorry for being a bit of a pain. sad.gif i just love this story. smile.gif

That's okay Olympic! biggrin.gif

***********************************************************************

Andy suddenly pulls away from Kat’s embrace but she grabs him.

“No, don’t stop,” she says softly, seductively. “I want you_”

“Kat_?”

“Shut up!” Kat snaps. “Shut up and kiss me!”

She brushes thoughts of Alfie aside as she slips off Andy’s tie and reaches inside his shirt, caressing the hairs upon his chest.

She’s hungry, absolutely ravenous for Andy Hunter, and she won’t leave until she’s satisfied her craving.

Chapter Two:

Kat is left energised after her tumbling with Andy and leaves with a smile on her face. She feels as if she’s just recharged her batteries and is ready now for what her return to Walford might throw at her.

She’s planned the rest of her day accordingly; she’ll take tea with Alfie, he’s becoming increasingly withdrawn of late and he’s physically draining her, but she’ll try and save her marriage.

Her recent, voluntary coupling with Andy has added spice to her life. How many women in Walford can truly boast that the two most desirable men in the east end have fallen head over heels for her?

She feels good, she feels empowered. She hopes that these good feelings will rub off on Alfie and make him smile again and more importantly still, she hopes that it will rub off on Zoë; her ailing daughter, so poorly right now that without urgent treatment in America, she could easily be dead within two months.

But now Kat feels optimistic, Andy will keep his word, her bank account balance will be much more healthy soon.

Back at the mansion, Kat has zapped all the energy from Andy; he’s physically and emotionally drained as he clumsily gathers his scattered clothing from the floor. His mother enters the lounge and eyes him critically.

He thanks her for exercising discretion whilst Kat visited.

His mother laughs and refers to Kat as a parasite who’s bleeding him dry.

“She’s nothing but a common whore,” his mother says venomously. “She lacks all the feminine graces I’d desire as a daughter-in-law.”

True, Kat might lack the finesse of more desirable women but Andy reminds his mother of how disastrous his marriage to Yvonne was.

“Andy, my darling,” his mother says embracing him fondly. “The death of a daughter is bound to put stress on a marriage.”

Andy nods. “Which is why I have to help Kat.”

“Pah,” his mother spits in disdain. “She’s just a tart. Her father first and now her daughter, who next? She’s seen you as an easy meal ticket. A fool and his money is easily parted.”

“Her daughter, Zoë, is dying, mother. From the same disease as Rebecca.”

His mother looks sorrowfully at Andy and then at Rebecca’s photograph.

“If that is so, my heartaches even for someone like Kat. But Andy, you and I both know, that no amount of money in the world will save Zoë. She’ll be dead within the year.”

“You don’t know that for a fact,” Andy snaps. “Admittedly the prognosis isn’t good, but perhaps Zoë has been diagnosed early. Rebecca was in school in Switzerland, had she been home with us we might’ve seen how ill she was before it was too late.”

Andy’s mother turns away, she doesn’t want her son to see the tears fill her eyes. It was she who insisted that Rebecca attend school in Switzerland, her snobby ambition for Rebecca to become a proper lady.

Thanks Olympic. I do recall a limousine scene!

***********************************************************************

“I’m going to have another shower,” says Andy who hurriedly had a shower to cool his sensations before he saw Kat. Now he needs another one to cool off.

“You do so, and Andy,” his mother turns to face him. “Remember, you’ve got to be ready in an hour. You’re taking me to dinner remember?”

Chapter Three:

“Do you really have to go out again, Kat?” Alfie asks Kat as she buttons up her fake leopard fur coat.

“You know I have to,” Kat snaps at him. Cross that he should moan about her going out again when she has to pop over to see how Zoë is doing.

“But Kat,” whines Alfie. “We’re not spending nearly enough time together. We’re married for God’s sake and yet you’re always off somewhere. If it’s not over your family’s house, it’s somewhere with the girls…if not that we’re so busy with work here that we don’t have time for each other.”

“Look Alfie, stop your bleeding whining,” Kat shouts.

Alfie flinches, his hearing is sensitive to Kat’s piercing tongue lashing. He often forgets how Kat has a bell in every tooth and how nasty she can become when he nags her.

“The world does not revolve around you, Alfie,” continues Kat. “My daughter, Zoë, is dying and I need to see how she’s doing, okay? You should understand that.”

“I do, Kat,” Alfie says embracing her but she pulls away. “You only rang them ten minutes ago and you said then she’s bearing up well.”

Tears spring to Kat’s eyes and she wipes at them clumsily. “I need to be with her Alfie. In fact, until we can organise flight and hotel bookings, I think I should be spending more time with her instead of helping out at the bar.”

Alfie is gobsmacked. It’s not that he doesn’t care about what’s happening to Zoë, it’s just that he thinks Kat needs to have a break occasionally away from her daughter as Kat isn’t sleeping and she’s not eating a lot either. Work helps to occupy her mind with other things rather than Zoë. He doesn’t realise of course that Kat has found herself something else to occupy her mind instead of it being totally dominated by thoughts of poor Zoë, Andy Hunter provides her with plenty of comforting thoughts.

His fresh, fragrant cologne still lingers pleasantly upon her clothing. Kat suppresses a smile as she detects the odour.

Alfie’s nostrils twitch. “You wearing a new perfume?”

“Nah, Alfie,” Kat laughs. “It’s my old one. I wear it all the time. Just poured a bit more of it on myself this time.”

She kisses him before she leaves The Vic and dashes over to her family’s house, 23 Albert Square. Zoë moved out of the flat as soon as her illness was diagnosed, and after spending a month in hospital and her mother being advised to take her home “to die” she went to live with her family. Everyone is rallying around her and offering as much support as they can. Spencer has now moved in with Kelly, but both visit often.

Jamie and Sonia are just leaving the house. They’ve been married a year now and Jamie is walking again after being nearly killed on the road by Martin Fowler’s amazing driving ability. Sonia is nursing now and Jamie is back working with Phil.

Well he is her husband Olympic! lol! laugh.gif

***********************************************************************

Jamie has never got on well with Kat since his meddling with Zoë’s feelings, but at a time like this everyone comes together to offer support.

Sonia smiles at Kat.

“She’s looking better today, Kat,” Sonia says. “Really she is. A lot brighter, a lot chirpier.”

“More like the old Zoë,” Jamie grins, shifting uneasily on the spot.

“You mustn’t give up hope, Kat,” Sonia says touching Kat’s arm. “You know the doctors don’t know everything and since this illness is so rare they can’t be positive about anything right now.”

“Don’t forget the doctors told Phil that I was going to die,” Jamie adds.

Kat smiles grimly. “Yeah and you look really good considering you’re supposed to be dead.”

She thanks them for their kindness then enters the house. She tries not to remind herself that Zoë’s illness is not caused by an accident, but by a genetic disease that is completely ravaging her daughter’s body. She hears Zoë’s laughter and smiles and realises that this is a good sign.

Little Mo dashes downstairs to greet Kat.

“I thought I heard you come in, Kat,” beams Little Mo.

“You look tired,” Kat observes. Her sister has been up all night with Zoë.

“Don’t worry about it,” smiles Little Mo. “We’ll all take it in turns to sit with her.”

Kat closes her eyes then opens them again. “Until we get her to America.”

“Kat, Kat,” Lynne runs downstairs now in excitement. “That’s Belinda on the phone…”

“I didn’t hear the phone going,” comments Little Mo in surprise.

“And…and…guess what….?”

“What?” asks Kat tiredly wondering why Lynn should be so elated at a time like this.

“Neville’s come through and is going to give us the fifty grand!”

Kat’s face nearly hits the floor. Of course, why hadn’t she thought of asking Neville, Belinda’s husband for the money instead of visiting arch enemy Andy Hunter. Come to think of it, she curses herself silently, why didn’t she approach Neville instead of Andy when she first wanted money for her father?

“Kat? What’s wrong? It is okay that we contacted Neville and Belinda isn’t it?” asks Little Mo.

“Come on,” Lynn urges her. “I know you can’t stand the guy…he’s snobby and all that. But he came through after all. Don’t you see? Zoë can go to America now.”

“He’s okay,” snaps Kat. “We’ve never given Nev a fair enough chance have we?”

“That’s because he’s a miserly git normally!” laughs Lynn. “But even he has a sense of decency where this is concerned.”

Kat nods and realises that now she must have a sense of decency also and contact Andy and let him know that his money is no longer required. She realises however that fifty grand won’t see Zoë through all her treatment in America, but it’s a start. She excuses herself and makes a private phone call whilst the others go back up to Zoë.

“I need to speak to Andy,” Kat tells Andy’s butler who answers the phone. “It’s Kat Slater…sorry Kat Moon. Tell him it’s urgent.”

“He’s out sorry with his mother.”

“Then give me his mobile – I’ve forgotten his mobile number!”

Andy answers the mobile phone immediately. “Kat? What’s up?”

Margaret is a much better character than Pauline ever was.

Thanks for reading Olympic biggrin.gif

**********************************************************************

“Just to let you know that you don’t need to give us the money now, Andy. Neville, Belinda’s husband has just agreed to help out.”

“Ah, right, Kat. Good, I’m pleased somebody else is willing to chip in, but why not keep the money? In fact I insist on it. You’ll need it.”

He won’t take no for an answer, in the background Kat hears the distinct voice of his mother, she’s passing some snide comment.

“Ignore her okay, Kat, she knows how I feel about you,” Andy says needlessly.

“You need to put a muzzle on her, Andy,” Kat says. “I know she’s your mother and all, but it doesn’t suit you being a mammy’s boy. That’s how people are able to walk over you so easily.”

Her remark hurts Andy but he knows it’s the truth.

“I hope Zoë makes a full recovery, and um…Kat…”

“Yes, Andy?”

“If you need any help in organising the flight and hotel bookings…”

“No thanks, Andy, you’ve done enough already. Take care, and thanks again,” Kat blows a kiss down the phone. She hangs up and turns round to meet the reproaching eyes of Lynn and Little Mo.

“Oh Kat, please don’t say you’ve accepted money from Andy!” exclaims Little Mo.

“Do you often hang around on the stairs eavesdropping?” snaps Kat. She brushes past them on her way up to see Zoë.

“Kat…you’ve got to give Andy his money back,” Lynn insists. “You can’t be in debt to that man again!”

“Look shut it!” Kat stops at her daughter’s bedroom door. “Andy’s daughter, Rebecca, had the same disease. He’s doing it for her as much as for me.”

“Awwwwww Kat,” moans Little Mo in dismay.

“So just drop it the pair of you. It’s done now and it would offend Andy if I refused his generous offer now,” Kat says swinging the door open to greet her daughter.

Chapter Four:

Kat spends the night sitting besides Zoë’s bedside, after some hours of watching her daughter and stroking her long, dark hair, which now lacks its beautiful lustre, she dozes off in the early hours and finds herself dreaming of the time Andy proposed to her:

FLASHBACK: NB: Written in past tense and script fashion to emphasise it is flashback.

Andy had proposed to Kat in a posh restaurant and bestowed upon her a diamond ring worth many thousands of pounds. Kat in her crazy mixed up mind, still felt strongly for Alfie, but tired of men like Alfie and indeed Anthony Trueman, who couldn’t make up their mind and Andy was more than attractive enough to win her heart. She fell for him in a big way, and naturally since he’s a multi-millionaire he appeared doubly attractive.

Then came the phone call that angered her.

Andy: Oh hello…yes…I haven’t forgotten our lunch date tomorrow…

Kat looked at him angrily as he answered his mobile. He took too many calls on the mobile phone whilst out wining and dining her. She wanted to be the centre of attention. At least that time of his proposal, he had the decency not to leave the table and took the call in front of her.

Kat’s eyes widened at the way he addressed another woman and angered by him blowing kisses down the phone).

Kat: Who’s was that?

(Andy looked evasive at first, a little shifty Kat thought).

Kat: You have a mistress, a wife or….?

She got up from her chair and was ready to leave the restaurant when Andy grabbed her arm and pleaded with her to sit back down.

Kat: Who was that woman, Andy? Arranging lunch with another woman? Tell me or the engagement is off before it even starts.

Andy: It was just my mother.

Kat: Yeah?

Andy sighed. He always admired Kat’s feistiness.

Andy: My mother, Kat, I suppose you should meet her one day…

Kat frowns.

Kat: Huh? I think I ought to..…I mean she’s going to be my mother-in-law isn’t she.

Andy nods.

Kat: I always thought your parents were dead.

Andy: My father is dead, Kat. My mother is very much alive and God doesn’t she make me remember it.

Kat: Elaborate, please?

Andy: She’s the mother from hell, Kat. An absolute witch at times.

Kat frowns.

Kat: What a thing to say about your mother.

Andy: Well she’s dreadful, Kat. Believe me, when you meet her you’ll see why. You quite possibly will choose not to marry me when you meet her. Which you must do of course, you must meet her. Since she’ll be living with us.

Kat laughs.

Kat: She really that bad?

Andy: Since Yvonne and I divorced and Rebecca, my daughter died, she’s become an absolute monster.

Kat: Tell me about it. About Yvonne and Rebecca. What happened to her?

Andy: Rebecca became seriously ill whilst away at boarding school in Switzerland. A rare disease, one that is very rapid. She died two months into her treatment in America. Yvonne blamed me and so did my mother.

Here's a bit more then Olympic:

***********************************************************************

Kat: Why?

She squeezed his hand consolingly.

Andy: Yvonne and I had separated. And she was into partying and didn’t want to have much to do with Rebecca until it was too late. So Rebecca stayed with me mostly and mum.

It pained Andy to tell Kat about Rebecca and she remembers vividly how Andy sighed and looked so desperately sad as he spoke of her at the restaurant.

Andy: I was accused of being inattentive. Yvonne reckoned I should’ve seen that Rebecca was becoming ill…but she was fine as far as I could tell. She’d lost a little weight, but I thought it was just the puppy fat she was shedding. Two weeks into the new term at the school in Switzerland Rebecca was rushed to hospital then eventually flown home and then to America. The treatment might’ve worked, but the illness was too rapid. She died in my arms.

Kat felt his pain and shed tears with him.

Andy: Mum turned against me then. Blamed me for marrying Yvonne, when it was her choice all along that I marry Yvonne. She said it must’ve been in Yvonne’s family this disease…but little is in fact known about the disease. It’s rare see. So you see, Kat. How much I care about you? I was content living a celibate existence until you came into my life. I think I’d be destroyed if you ever chose to leave me.

Kat again squeezed his hand, aching for Andy more and more, warmed to the fact that Andy, the great gangster boss was sensitive and human after all.

Kat: Don’t worry about that. You’re the most sincere person I’ve ever met. I’m not going to allow another woman to come between us, even if it is your mother.

Andy smiled.

But of course Kat did allow another woman to come between them, Andy’s mother was the worst dragon of all and Kat also allowed a man to come between them, Alfie and she knew how much it would hurt Andy when she dumped him, and how cruel it was to do so at the altar.

Kat weeps in her sleep and Zoë wakes up and eyes her mother anxiously…

Andy smiled and raised his glass to Kat.

Andy: Here’s to you.

Kat brushed her glass against his.

Kat: Here’s to us.

Kat discovered the weakness within Andy. Yes, he might be the super gangster boss in this neck of the woods, perhaps even farther afield for all she knows, but he’s forever held to ransom by his own mother.

Kat: I’m glad you didn’t heed to her demands, Andy. We wouldn’t be engaged now, would we?

Andy: For a while I did. But it’s unnatural to live without such love, Kat. You’re like a breath of fresh air.

They touched hands across the table.

Kat: I keep saying that to Sonia Jackson.

Andy frowns.

Kat: Sonia Jackson, who lives next door to us. Her fiancé, Jamie Mitchell is lingering between life and death after being hit by a car driven by Martin Fowler. I told her, no matter what happens, life will go on even without Jamie. And it has to go on without Rebecca too, you have to move forward, Andy.

Andy: Jamie Mitchell? I think I read about it in the papers. Related to Phil of course.

Kat: Yes. It was headlines I think for a day. So many accidents happen during Christmas and accidents like that are pretty much a common occurrence in Walford.

Andy: The accidents I experience are usually gun related.
