HOUSE POINTS
Earning house points for your house is simple and can be done many ways, reversely loosing house points is just the same. So, take a moment to read the information below to carry your house to victory!
EARNING HOUSE POINTS
It's simple really, just by being active and carrying out everyday tasks any member can earn points for their respective house. Below is a list of things that will earn your character points for their house and how many points each action will earn. Any character that has already graduated will have any points they have earned or lost added/deducted from their alumni house.
75 points for being voted Character of the Month.
75 points for creating graphics for ML. Please only do this if we ask.
50 points for having a featured thread.
50 points for creating a sub-plot involving your character that has been approved by admin.
25 points for having a canon character accepted on to ML.
25 points for creating a new character needed by another member.
25 points for advertising ML.
15 points for having an original character accepted on to ML.
20 points for referring someone to ML.
20 points for creating a database for another member's character.
15 points for creating graphics [a set, avatar, or signature] for another member.
Points may also be added if an admin feels they should. Say, if we see a good deed, like a member helping answer questions someone new may have, we might just throw a few points your way. So be on your toes!
LOSING HOUSE POINTS
It might not be as easy to lose house points as it is to earn them, but there are a few things that can get a character into trouble and cause their house to lose their precious points.
20 points for every five days you haven't posted in character if you haven't posted for a vacation.
10 points for spamming in character boards. No need to post one line responses when talking out of character or any need to ask if you may join a roleplay.
10 points for double posting. The edit button is your friend. =3 This doesn't count for the c-box.
??? points for breaking a rule of ML. The point amount depends on which rule you have broken or how major the offence was.
If your account is deleted, you will lose all points earned for your respective House.
Head Boy or Girl may take away points for bad in character behaviour, Professors have this right as well.
Points can be taken away for the following in character offences:
Swearing
Fighting
Improper dress
Late arrival to class
Smoking
Talking in class
Goofing off
Pulling pranks
&&Etc. Basically exhibiting behaviour not befitting the rules of Hogwarts.
Points taken away must be carried out in character, either in a roleplay, AIM conversation or journal scenario. Prefects are allowed to take up to twenty points at any given time, Head Boy and Head Girl are allowed to take up to fifty points, and teachers are unlimited. Please repost here with the first form at the bottom of the thread if you have taken points away. If you are not a Prefect but have witnessed bad behaviour, repost here with the second form.
