At the moment, we're currently using Memories Lost v3, set in 1977 and the Marauders' seventh year. But in a month or two's time, they'll be graduating and then what?

Well, we've been creating Memories Lost v4, a strongly fixated First War continuation of this! =D Isn't that fab. Yus, it is.

Basically, you'll keep all the characters you want, and their relationships -- for example, I'll be continuing with Sirius, and he'll still be going out with Alex. Nothing will change in that respect, we'll just be jumping a few months into the future. We just thought that if we're going to move from Hogwarts into the wide world, we need a fresh site. That way, we can look back on our Hogwarts days here and keep it as a roleplay archive, much as v1 and v2 are now.

The new site is still being completed, and we won't move over for a good fortnight. The mass thread needs to be completed -- plus you should begin looking to tie any others off after the weekend -- before we can move. I wouldn't advise starting an new, heavy plots just yet -- save that for the new site, mm?

As far as dates are concerned, the site will open in August 1977. The four students from the Riddle House will have been taken straight to St. Mungo's and given the choice to either return to Hogwarts or drop out, taking their sixth year grades as their N.E.W.T results. The remaining seventh years will either complete their N.E.W.T. exams, or else drop out. You'll need to amend their history significantly so when you post your application on the new site (don't worry about being accepted, every character from here is automatically approved of, 'cause we're not harsh) to explain whether they dropped out or stuck it through. We're saying the kidnapping took place in May, and the students were rescued in the beginning of June, because it makes dates a lot easier to work with. If you want to have a thread that should have happened between the students being rescued and August, then you may backdate one on the new site.

Basically:
We're moving soon.
It will be a very easy process on your behalf.
The new site is shiny.
Don't start any new complex threads -- just keep going with what you have now.
As soon as the mass thread is finished, we'll post the link to v4.
Ignore our sidebar, the current month is June; feel free to post journal entries about exam stress, or anything like that.

An update on the new site (:

I am a total fool, and it'll be August 1978. Sorry for telling you otherwise, I... Yeah. Funny moment.

The site is very near completion. There's only a few things that need to be done before you guys can hop, skip and jump over. But the mass thread really really has to be completed before we move things over. Anyone who plays a student -- look to getting out. Any Phoenixes -- move your fights outside so you can all Apparate away with the students. Any Death Eaters -- allow the fight to move elsewhere. Remember, we've got to get everyone out and away. Do whatever you can to achieve that as quickly as possible. As soon as that's wrapped off, then I see no reason to delay moving!

Tie off any threads in the meantime; I'm guessing it won't take less than a week to finish the mass thread, so you've got time to do that. But posting needs to hurry hurry on that thread! =D

The next announcement will most likely contain the link to the new site, if all goes well. Looking forward to it?
