ok so heres the deal i am feeling very let down by martial arts in general at the moment everywhere i look there seems to be some a** hole setting up a new m.a and has no idea what he's doing just has a bb. I know that makes him pretty good but then they go and teach you a load of monkey crap and its basically a fight club not m.a's. One of the main reasons i got into martial arts was the spirituallality of it the art of control and form........technic winning over brute force......now that seems to be counting for less and less!! Whats up with that???
Anyway i have decided to look for something hold and move based like wrestling. and although i like wwe i know its fake but its an olympic sport as well so does have some basis in reality. Anyone know anyone know any styles or places websites etc? I know its probably just the one i went to but really it was in a dusty boxing ring..........with one guy.........seemingly no first aiders (i'm 23 and i was the eldest) no real equipment and most people showed no form or training just punching and kicking............less like sparring and more like a pub brawl.

cheers guy P.s does anyone know if there is any legal organization i could note this too!??!?!?!?!??

im sure theres loads of legal wrestling organisatins! try a google UK search.

Ive never done wrestling myself, its not really my thing, but I know that wrestlers are extremely fit and strong. It was the old indian wreslters who invented the workout consisting of 100hindu pushups, 100 hindu squats, and back bridges and crunches. it can be seriously hard work (like all martial arts!).

good luck!

I've only done a tiny tiny of BJJ which was pretty good but very hard and sweaty. Not really the sort of MA I'm interested in.
