Mae Govannen mellyn. Glassen an achened le.

OK, I thought this would be a bit of fun and a place to practise for those who would like to or are learning Sindarin (note, preferably only Sindarin, the language is more complete). Lets have a go of a thread in Sindarin.

Now I know that there is only so much we can say in any Tolkien language, but try as best you can and anything you can't say, just put in English and maybe someone else can translate it for you.

I would love to learn Sindarin. You seem to know a lot of it! Do you know any way to learn it? Like a website or something?

Ah! Illy! No! *pulls away from website* Please, stay away from that site. It is not really elvish!
In the words of the Grey Company themselves:
The Grey Company is a group of computer game role-players who wanted to emulate Tolkien's Elves of Middle-earth, but found the languages too difficult to learn. So they took a pinch of Quenya and a tablespoon of Sindarin, then stirred in a cup of nonsense, a spoonful of indifference, and a pinch of disdain. The result is not-so-affectionately referred to as "Grelvish" by those who study Tolkien's work; it makes a mockery of his brilliant linguistic skills.

No that is real Sindarin, Taramiluiel is one of the plaza's top Sindarin experts and thats her site. The ones you have to watch out for are the translations with double vowels in them *winces*
