Forum Rules

These are for general use in the forum and are applicable to ALL forum sections (including the shoutbox) unless specified. Note that the staff no longer reserves the right to exempt themselves from any of the following rules - All admins/mods have to follow any rules posted here unless there is a good reason, which should be posted along with their rule-breaking post.

1. No Spamming.

What This Means: You will not make a multitude of new topics with no point to them, make multiple off-topic posts, break up into multiple posts what should be in one, make posts filled with gibberish, repeatedly post offending content, repost closed threads, or otherwise abuse your ability to post in an effort to raise your post count or inconvenience other posters. When something new comes up 5 different threads about it do not need to be made, CHECK other threads before you make your thread. Threads that have been answered in a sticky/announcement, or anything that could have been answered simply by looking at the database/site or the before said will be locked. No emoticon-only posts shall be allowed for they are considered as 'spams'.

What Will Happen if You Break this Rule: The spam will be deleted. Repeated violations after being warned will result in a ban.

2. No Explicit Language, Images, or links to sites containing these.

What This Means: A 'dam' or 'crap' here and there is ok. Do not attempt to use any sexually explicit or otherwise disturbing language, this will not be tolerated. Usernames containing offensive material will be deleted from the forum. Avatars or signatures containing lewd photos will be removed.

What Will Happen if You Break this Rule: The post will be edited or deleted with a warning given to the user. Repeated violations will result in a ban.

3. No Flaming.

What This Means: You will not insult, provoke, harass, or verbally express hatred or contempt towards any other poster, you have free speech, use it in a kind way.

What Will Happen if You Break this Rule: The post will be edited or deleted with a warning given to the user. Repeated violations will result in a ban.

4. Do Not Post Links or Advertise Private Servers, Bots, Hacks, or Cheats.

What This Means: These things are against game rules to use or participate in. We do NOT support botting or hacking here. You can talk about events on a private server, provided you don't mention any sites related to it, or how to get on it.

What Will Happen if You Break this Rule: The post will be edited or deleted with a warning given to the user. Repeated violations will result in a ban.

5. Do not post links to abnormal, bogus or dangerous sites.

What This Means: You will not post links to Outwar, "You Are An Idiot" bogus sites, viruses, porn, browser-bombs, abnormal popups, or any other annoying, abnormal or dangerous site.

What Will Happen if You Break this Rule: The post will be edited or deleted with a warning given to the user. Repeated violations will result in a ban.

6. Do not post image links from websites that you do not own or have permission from.

What This Means: This is bandwidth theft, so do not use the [img] tags around any URL that's not on web space you own or have permission to hotlink from.

What Will Happen if You Break this Rule: Image link converted to text-based hyperlink, warning and a report to the party the offence is taken upon.

7. Do not make posts for personal messages.

What This Means: Contacting a person directly is why we have PMs. Using the forum for this is unnecessary.

What Will Happen if You Break this Rule: Removal of post, warning.

8. Do not use HTML, or use BBcode in any place but your posts.

What This Means: HTML doesn't work anywhere on this forum, and BBcode only works in your posts, so don't try to use them elsewhere on here, such as topic titles or your user name. It won't work.

What Will Happen if You Break this Rule: Edit of offending items.

9. Do not use large Avatars/Sigs.

Avatar & Signature Size Rules

What This Means: The use of incredibly large avatar/sig files is not appreciated. A rule that has been forgotten is NO Motion avatars/sigs are to exceed 5 frames! You can have a total of 200 KB space for your avatar & sig combined! Avatar sizes are a standard 125x125, and signatures being 550x175 inclusive of text and graphics, whether static or animated (width x height in both instances).

What Will Happen if You Break this Rule: Warning for minor offences. Huge signatures & avatars will result in avatar/sigs being removed.

10. Post in the correct forum.

What This Means: Do not make posts selling items in the General Discussion section. Our forums have a wide array of topics covered. Please use common sense in regards of where to post.

What Will Happen if You Break this Rule: Topic moved to the right section.

11. No Double Posting
The edit button works within five minutes of the original post, so edit your post if you have anything additional to say. Double posting to heighten your post count is not allowed. If your thread is so important to you, pm us and we will bump it for you

What Will Happen if You Break this Rule: Warning for minor offences.

The Marketplace Section Rules:

1) No counter-selling/counter-buying. If someone is selling an item, do not try to sell your item for a lower price in their thread. Make your own. If someone is buying an item, do not try to buy the same item for a higher price in their thread. Again, make your own. This also includes trying to buy or sell an item mentioned in a price-check thread. If the person wants to sell the item that they're getting appraised, wait for them to put up new thread about it.

2) Avoid posting stuff that has no relevance to the topic. Limit your posts to making your own bid or working out a deal with the topic starter.

3) You may bump your topic only once a day. Failure to follow this will result in random locks and warnings from our mods.

4) Please lock your own topic after deal has completed, or notify a mod/admin so it can be deleted. You can do this via the drop-down menu at the lower left corner of your window: Moderation Options>> Close this topic>> Go!

5) pRO trading rules will apply. That means no buying/selling items and zeny in PhP, no buying RO load for zeny, no inter-server exchange. Please use the report function if you see posts of this nature.

6) Auto Deletion of inactive topics. All Topics under the Marketplace with no new replies over a period of 30 days will be automatically deleted without the consent of the thread starter.

Midgard U Section Rules:

1) Before starting a topic, please check if there has been a topic similar to the one you will post. Redundant posts will be deleted.

2) Do not start "where to level," "tell me the best build" and "rate my build" topics because there are existing topics for these. Please always check the pinned topics!

3) When you do make a post, please post in a sensible manner. Provide complete info (your problem, what you've tried, your gears, your zeny...) so other posters can help you better.

4) For "Top 10 List" topics and the like, respect each other's opinions please. To each his own, don't flame another person for his choices.

Agit Standings Section Added Rule:

We are implementing a "Flame = Posting Ability Disabled" rule here. We will not close any topics in this section, and instead suspend any forum violators' posting ability for two (2) days minimum, and be given proper warning to keep our thread clean for those who actually follow the rules.

Only members who hav accumulated 50 posts & above are allowed to post in the Agit Standings and Rants & Raves section.
